Egypt: Military-Backed Government Resigns
Associated Press, by Maggie Hyde

Original Article

Egypt´s interim prime minister says his Cabinet has resigned. Hazem el-Beblawi´s military-backed government was sworn in on July 16, less than two weeks after the army ousted Islamist President Mohammed Morsi after a year in office. The government´s surprise resignation, announced by el-Beblawi in a live Monday TV broadcast, comes amid a host of strikes, including one by public transport workers and garbage collectors. An acute shortage of cooking gas has also been making front page news the past few days. It was not immediately clear who will replace el-Beblawi, who has often been derided in the media for his perceived indecisiveness and

Or is it more stupidity from what has already been demonstrated as really stupid people? Different but similar to the USA suffering under obama and then re-electing him. Just plain stupid.

Is the CIA once again getting involved with other governments----reports from a Kiev local indicated CIA involvement there. The obamas, barack, malik and others in the family are still pushing the muslim brotherhood to take over again.

Dems can´t run on Obamacare

Washington Examiner [DC], by Byron York    Original Article

Some Democrats hope to minimize the importance of Obamacare as a political issue by focusing on other topics in this November´s midterm elections. Some hope to win by promising to fix the flawed national health care plan they passed in 2010. And others hope to turn the issue on Republicans by appealing to voters who have been helped by the law. The problem is, none of that will work. The importance of Obamacare as an issue in November 2014 cannot be controlled by either political party. It will be determined by just one thing, and that is the performance of Obamacare

The news that CBS News investigative reporter Sharyl Attkisson is leaving the network does not come as any great surprise to those who have followed her career. Last year, at a time when we learned that the Obama Justice Department was spying on Fox News’ James Rosen as well as a group of reporters at the Associated Press, Attkisson reported that her computer had been hacked. But, as Dylan Byers wrote in Politico, Attkisson had an even bigger problem: most of her colleagues at CBS didn’t like the fact that she had spent the last few years reporting aggressively about

Senate Democrats’ pointless

Viewers tuning in to C-SPAN 2 on Monday night and going into the wee hours of Tuesday morning might have thought they had stumbled into a sci-fi channel. The apocalyptic language from the Senate Democrats’ all-night chat about global warming was the stuff familiar to fans of B-movies and science fiction. Two dozen Democrats signed up to keep the Senate lights on and the cameras rolling through the night — dramatically increasing the Senate’s usual titanic carbon footprint — to rally support for legislation to tax carbon dioxide. The famous Sen. Beauregard Claghorn would have been impressed. The Senate Climate Action Task

American Bridge has set up this website at “SinCityGOP” and announces (bold print supplied): While the Republican Party debates where to hold the Republican National Convention in 2016, American Bridge is preparing our

With the incorporation of Crimea into Russia by force of arms about to become a fait accompli next week, speculation is increasingly turning to the longer-term implications of Vladimir Putin’s audacious land grab. Historical parallels like Hitler’s Sudetenland thrust or the Soviet invasion of Czechoslovakia in 1968 are useful up to a point but ultimately irrelevant. There is however, a historical precedent of uncanny similarity and predictive power that has remained largely unmentioned in the ocean of ink already spilled on the Ukrainian crisis. It’s also a precedent that is about to prove philosopher George Santayana right when he said

The Pentagon may be spending hundreds of thousands of dollars studying Vladimir Putin’s body language in order to “better predict [his] actions,” but Putin does not need a study to read President Obama’s body language. While more Russian forces were pouring into Crimea this past weekend, and Russian legislators announced their readiness to annex the Ukrainian province, where was our commander in chief? Monitoring events in the Situation Room? Meeting with the Joint Chiefs at the Pentagon? Holding an emergency meeting of NATO leaders? Nope. President Obama talks, talks, talks about jobs. The first 20 minutes of his State of the Union address in January was all about jobs. Immigration reform would “create jobs for everybody,” he said. His energy policy “is creating jobs.” Obama said he’s assigned Vice President Biden to make sure training programs match workers with “good jobs that need to be filled right now.” Last week he described his new budget as “a road map for creating jobs.” Yet for all the talk, his record on jobs is pathetic. It raises this question: Does the president have a clue about what

Whoever wins the next presidential election has at least one definite perk to look forward to: A new presidential limo, complete with classified armor specifications, that´ll replace the current "Beast" introduced for President Barack Obama´s 2009 inaugural parade. The leader of the free world is getting some new wheels. The Secret Service is proceeding with development of a new presidential limousine to replace the Cadillac model currently used by President Barack Obama, according to a new General Services Administration contract posting. The new vehicle is expected to be ready for the inauguration of the next president—whomever she or he may be.

The commission had not yet stamped the letter as received, nor had it been made public. But

CBS News investigative correspondent Sharyl Attkisson has reached an agreement to resign from CBS News ahead of contract, bringing an end to months of hard-fought negotiations, sources familiar with her departure told POLITICO on Monday. Attkisson, who has been with CBS News for two decades, had grown frustrated with what she saw as the network´s liberal bias, an outsized influence by the network´s corporate partners and a lack of dedication to investigative reporting, several sources said. She increasingly felt like her work was no longer supported and that it was a struggle to get her reporting on air.

Writing a check on an account with an iffy balance, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell told The New York Times that he thinks the Republican establishment is "going to crush [our opponents] everywhere." It took zero-point-zero seconds for that quote to become precisely the sort of rallying point that Republican incumbents would probably rather their opponents not have. The Tea Party-versus-establishment war has rarely been articulated as plainly as in McConnell´s comments. Although it appears that McConnell was probably speaking within the fairly narrow frame of candidates challenging incumbent Republican senators.
