Firm tapped for FCC media study
has background in social ‘welfare,’
health – not media

Fox News, by Judson Berger

To conduct what critics are calling an intrusive examination of newsrooms across America, the Federal Communications Commission tapped a Beltway firm whose philosophy aligned neatly with the study´s goals -- which were to promote "diversity" in the newsroom, presumably in terms of who is hired and what is covered. Those goals sound innocuous enough, but the study has run into a buzz saw of criticism on Capitol Hill as lawmakers question whether it could be used to pressure media outlets into changing their coverage. The criticism led the FCC on Friday to significantly back off the review. The company, however, tapped to lead

Comments:
FCC Chairman Wheeler said his office "pledged Friday that any future review would not seek to interview those in the newsroom." How about completely eliminating "any future" review?? The CEO of Social Solutions group, Susanna Nemes, PhD of course, leads back to George Soros. What a shock. They are everywhere. Link regarding Soros information:

Boehner wake up. You can cut their money off. This bunch at the FCC is out of control. Make them lay off some folks. DO IT. You are such a RINO wimp that your mug and Obama´s are the same to me. Prove to us you deserve the R behind your name. These guys took a shot at the first amendment. They could have done more damage to this country than 9/11. What are you going to do about it? You haven´t said one word about this - You are such a wimp.

The maker of Sam Adams beer announced Friday that it is withdrawing its sponsorship of Boston´s St. Patrick´s Day parade because organizers exclude gay groups. Boston Beer Co.´s decision came a day after a bar in Boston´s South End said it would no longer serve Sam Adams beer because of the brewer´s affiliation with the parade, which is scheduled for Sunday. Mayor Martin Walsh and U.S. Rep. Stephen Lynch have been trying to broker a deal that would have allowed a gay group to march, but those negotiations broke down. "We were hopeful that both sides of this issue would

Al Qaeda has announced plans to launch a new magazine aimed at recruiting Americans and promoting “lone wolf” terror attacks and the group’s jihadist agenda, according to a video produced by al Qaeda’s media arm. The sophisticated video containing photos and video clips announced the upcoming publication of the English-language magazine Resurgence on March 9. The video was posted online and promoted via Twitter and other social media. The video was produced by al Qaeda’s official As Sahab Establishment for Media Production, which is connected to the remnants of the terrorist group’s central senior leaders. House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R., Va.) updated his report on the “imperial presidency” on Thursday, adding to the dozens of examples of executive overreach by the Obama administration. “Our Founders created a series of checks and balances for our democracy to prevent any one of the three branches of government from becoming too powerful,” Cantor said. “Today, this system is under threat as the executive branch continues to bypass Congress and use executive action to promote its own agenda.” Cantor says Obamacare is the greatest example of the administration’s “blatant disregard for the rule of law.” The updated report

President Obama is now the most powerful

President Obama´s approval rating is at or near record lows. His foreign policy has been feckless. And his recent budget proposal was virtually ignored because his domestic agenda is going nowhere in Congress. So with 2014 looking like an increasingly grim year for Democrats seeking re-election, the role of the most powerful leader of the free world has been reduced to that of an insurance salesman. In the final weeks before the March 31 deadline for individuals to enroll in an insurance plan through his health care program without facing a penalty, Obama is going everywhere and anywhere to make his

President Obama said Friday that enough people have already signed up for ObamaCare that he is “confident” his signature legislative accomplishment will function properly. “At this point enough people are signing up that the Affordable Care Act is going to work,” Obama said in a WebMD interview. “The insurance companies will continue to offer these plans. We already have 4 million people, over 4 million people, signed up." The president said he expects “a larger number” still to be enrolled by March 31. “The pool is already large enough, the number of people who have signed up is large enough, i’m confident the

Ted Cruz is not in a fighting mood. The Texas senator is sitting in a booth at the Capital Grille, an upscale restaurant on Pennsylvania Avenue, about halfway between the Capitol, where Cruz works, and the White House, where many suspect he’d like to end up. His jacket is off, his light blue tie is tucked behind his crisp white dress shirt as he casually picks at the salmon filet on the dinner plate in front of him and sips a glass of Pinot Noir. Cruz has spent the past several days on the receiving end of a barrage of attacks.

The former Director of the Office of Research Integrity (OIR), David Wright, recently resigned in powerful fashion, penning a scathing letter to his boss in the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) about the “remarkably dysfunctional HHS bureaucracy.” The letter, written on February 25th and recently published at sciencemag.org, details the “intensely political environment” that is HHS, the department charged with crafting and implementing Obamacare policy and regulations. Apart from being famous for drafting 20,000 pages of onerous regulations inspired by the nearly 2,000 page Obamacare statute, HHS also made headlines for it’s spectacularly disastrous rollout of healthcare.gov, the

President Obama called for a review of the administration’s deportation policies to see how it can be done "more humanely," the White House said Thursday. House Democrats again targeted the controversial Issa on Thursday, with a bid to force the California Republican to publicly apologize for what they dub his “repeated history of abuse” toward the minority party. US officials believe that two communications systems aboard Malaysian Airlines flight 370 were shut down separately, 14 minutes apart - which indicates the plane did not come down because of a sudden catastrophic failure. The data reporting system was shut down at 1.07 am and the transponder was turned off at 1.21 am just after the the pilot signed off to Malaysian air traffic controllers with ´All right, good night,´ and before the Boeing 777 apparently changed course and turned west. According to investigators this indicated that the switch-off could have been a deliberate act and officials told ABC News that the

In case you hadn’t heard, young people these days — a.k.a “the Millennials” — are the most cynical and distrusting generation ever recorded. Only 19 percent think most people can be trusted. According to a big study from the Pew Research Center, they are less attached to marriage, religion, and political institutions than Gen Xers, Baby Boomers, and the other demographic flavors journalists love to use. They like their friends, their digital “social networks,” and their toys, and that’s about it. Not even a majority will call themselves “patriotic.” Probably more dismaying for liberals: Of any living generation, they are

Fertility is the missing chapter in sex education. Sobering facts about women’s declining fertility after their 20s are being withheld from ambitious young women, who are propelled along a career track devised for men. The refusal by public schools’ sex-education programs to acknowledge gender differences is betraying both boys and girls. The genders should be separated for sex counseling. It is absurd to avoid the harsh reality that boys have less to lose from casual serial sex than do girls, who risk pregnancy and whose future fertility can be compromised by disease. Boys need lessons in basic ethics and moral reasoning
