Escape from New York

Let me tell you the true story of a married couple whom I will refer to as Donna and Frank, as they must remain anonymous. Let´s just say that I know them well. Donna is in her early 30´s, and Frank is in his early 40´s. Donna and Frank have lived in various areas of Brooklyn NY for the past five years. Their last apartment was a one-room concrete "cave" on the fifth floor of a converted warehouse. It had very little lighting, with two windows that looked out at a bleak, aging wall of neighboring apartment windows. It had

Wake up Mr. Thomas, because that´s the perfect analogy for these types. I know that because I live in Florida and I´ve met the people you describe. Stay in Noo Yawk Siddy and live in your own disgusting socialist paradise you helped create.

The Socialists escape from the Utopia that they, and their ilk, created, and immediately start turning their new home into exactly the same type of Socialist ´Paradise´ they left.

Morons! Live in the Socialist Paradise you so desired, or, if you move, leave your ideals at the state line...

I live in Orlando so this really blows. The worse it gets in NYC the more of this we´ll see. Look at how the New Yorkers (half backs) ruined North Carolina my birth state. Heck they even turned it purple. This is a war with these people, you can´t get complacent with them even if we clean up in this years election. If I meet this couple I will encourage them to move back home.

Just two sick individuals, carrying a fatal disease, and transporting it to healthy people.

If Red states are to survive, they must set up their own immigration system to assess the political health of those who desire to enter. Keep the socialists quarantined in New York City, Chicago, Hartford, Detroit, LA, and all of the other liberal paradise locations.

Liberalism is like Islam and piracy:
None of them can sustain themselves so they must be expansionist by their very nature.
None of them are good for where-ever they target their expansion.
None of them learn from the bad consequences of their own actions.

They will just ruin Florida, the way they ruined New York.

And I question the author´s belief they are intelligent, because they lived in a concrete one-room apartment overlooking the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway and paid $2,000-$3,000 a month. One could do a lot better than that, even in Brooklyn, for that money.

With waves of American college graduates about to hit the job market, it’s a good bet most of them don’t think of the controversial conservative author, Charles Murray, as their mentor. The W. H. Brady Scholar at the American Enterprise Institute and author of several books – including Coming Apart (about divided white America) and The Bell Curve (with Richard Herrnstein) – is hardly known as a warm and fuzzy job counselor. Yet, in The Curmudgeon’s Guide to Getting Ahead, a new primer for workplace newbies, Murray dispenses some of the best advice today’s overly coddled millennial grads haven’t yet heard. Related: The

Is it too farfetched to connect the dots between a brilliant Wall Street Journal op-ed by Charles Koch, the chairman and CEO of Koch Industries, and the continued sluggish recovery in jobs, business investment, and the overall economy? I don’t think so. In his piece, Mr. Koch seems to make a plea for a big dose of free-market capitalism. He argues, “The central belief and fatal conceit of the current administration is that you are incapable of running your own life, but those in power are capable of running it for you. This is the essence of big government and

Over the last two weeks, New York Magazine’s Jonathan Chait and The Atlantic’s Ta-Nehisi Coates, two of the internet’s most admired liberal journalists, have engaged in an extended back-and-forth about the legitimacy of public critiques of cultural dysfunction in poor, inner-city African-American culture — and particularly the kind of critiques offered by President Obama, who often speaks exhortatively about personal and parental responsibility in addresses to black audiences. My impression (drawn from Twitter) is that many readers following the debate felt that Coates essentially won it with his most recent entry, a rich brief for the proposition that even (or
