You Subsidize Leftist Anarchy
American Thinker, by Matthew Vadum

You have been subsidizing the efforts of radical left-wing community organizers for years, and you probably didn´t even know it. Fifty years ago as Barack Hussein Obama inhaled the values of his communist parents, grandparents, and mentors, their comrades were drafting plans to destroy American civil society. Armed with your parents´ and grandparents´ tax dollars, America-hating extremists Richard Cloward, Frances Fox Piven, and Saul Alinsky were hard at work in the 1960s laying the foundation to wreak havoc on America and its people in an effort to force revolutionary change. Progressive agitators´ quest to obliterate economic freedom was aided by the "War on

Demonic Dems subverting the US Constitution and capitalism with our tax dollars. Been going on for years and getting even worse. Do the Republicans in Congress or while in the WH say or do anything about it? No. I am surprised we are not further along our downward path. By the way, I saw Frances Piven speaking to a bunch of commies gathered at CUNY on CSpan the other night--looking perky in her Che beret and still at it, her goal of a socialist America within reach.

The people haven´t a clue or don´t care as long as they are getting their goodies. The repubs are standing idly by watching. Under bush, nothing was done by justice about voter fraud or such misuse of gov´t funds by the dems for the benefit of the party. This can´t go on forever. the collapse is rapidly approaching.

#1, according to public records, Frances Fox Piven works for CUNY as a professor, making over $140,000 a year.

So the taxpayers are not only funding their organizations, we put them on the payroll at public colleges so we can pay them to teach their odious politics to our young people. Are we stupid, or what?

Pres. Reagan advised, ´´Trust but verify.´´ American voters trust that those we vote for will represent us according to their oaths of office. We also should be able to trust that the press will keep us informed of the unvarnished facts regarding what & how those we elect then do in office for America the Beautiful. ...Apparently our trust is not always merited by those we elect nor the news-feed from the press. So WHO VERIFIES?

Adventures in Obamacareland, in which our protagonist is: - encouraged to lie and report that he did not have existing health insurance, making the number of uninsured look higher; - discovers new reasons to doubt the numbers of people reported as signing up for Obamacare; - and learns that one of the supposed reasons behind the (Un)Affordable Care Act was a total sham. (snip) Why would Obamacare “navigators” encourage applicants to misrepresent their existing insurance status when applying? A headline in the LA Times this past week answered the question. "Obamacare meeting goal of reducing number of uninsured" it read.

The feminist left may be crazy, but it is powerful. Witness what happened in San Francisco at a fast-growing company that is a web-based hosting service for software development named GitHub. (hat tip: Instapundit). Via readwrite.com: You might not immediately notice the latest change to come to GitHub unless you’re standing in its San Francisco headquarters and looking down at the floor. GitHub has removed the centerpiece of its faux Oval Office waiting room, a circular mat emblazoned with the phrase, “United Meritocracy of GitHub.”

Progressives pride themselves on their highly evolved psyches, their awe-inspiring good intentions and their admirable sense of right and wrong. Indeed, so sure are they that they are right, disagreement can only be an insult. Opposition triggers instant hatred, in a chorus chanted so loudly that nothing said, no evidence presented, will be heard or considered. Indeed, in order to cement a belief, whatever the left decides to believe magically becomes new science, granted an exemption from any sort of scientific process because the leftist has declared that a consensus of leftists makes something scientific. When we remember the Jewish children thrown alive into ditches by the Nazis and then think about the little girls outside Walmart selling cookies, it seems an offense to decency to suggest any comparison between the Bund Deutsche Madel (League of German Girls, or BDM) and the Girl Scouts. Nevertheless, both Nazism and post-1960s American feminism (neo-feminism in this essay) envision exclusionary, utopian socialist societies. Both indoctrinate girls from a young age to advance their visions. And there are parallels in structure, activities, and ethos. Changes to the Girl Scout Law reveal the core of the shifts from individually focused, morally

Ever since President Obama was elected in 2008, his administration has taken on the appearance of an “imperial presidency” while Congress has acted as a tableau of figureheads. Americans need look no further than Obama’s executive actions concerning the delay in the ObamaCare mandates, the recess appointments, and his changes in the immigration laws. President Obama had no qualms in his recent State of the Union address in declaring that he will use the power of the pen and will sidestep Congress whenever and wherever possible. Though the Obama presidency has years to go, he has already initiated his legacy project. It’s called My Brother’s Keeper and attempts to help “at risk” young men of color – those prone to crime, mayhem, drug addiction, and fathering illegitimate children. Clearly a worthy cause, and it has already attracted $150 million in private support. The goal also seems reasonable, since unruly young men (regardless of color) have long troubled society and cures abound thanks to eons of experience. That’s the good news. The bad news is that Obama’s putative cure is a modern-day Progressive nightmare. It will fail while

We have been so absorbed by the cavalcade of government incompetence and individual hurt produced by the rollout of ObamaCare that it is easy to forget the tragedy-in-waiting should this federal healthcare takeover stay in place: the death panel, also known as the Independent Payment Advisory Board (IPAB). This is the group of political appointees designed to allow the federal government to use a combination of medical and social criteria to determine the healthcare an individual receives. Or, to put it as bluntly as Sarah Palin did, to determine who lives and who dies. Why am I thinking about that now?
