Connecticut Gun Owners
Deliver a Message--´No we won´t´

Breitbart Big Government, by Mark Meckler

Original Article

Did you know that quietly--very quietly thanks to a biased media--tens of thousands of American citizens delivered a message about the limits of government? Did you know that citizens of one state engaged in a mass act of civil disobedience that has left statist officials from both parties scratching their heads as an entire regulatory scheme collapsed? Last week, Connecticut politicians were shocked to find out that only a fraction of Connecticut gun owners obeyed a state directive to come forward, declare their weapons, and register them with the government. (snip) This is an important moment in the battle for fundamental

Comments:
Perhaps, just perhaps, when there is universal registration and background checks for voting (or even running for public office), I´d think about gun registration.

Folks need to understand that CT is blue primarily because of Bridgeport, Waterbury and New Haven.

The takers in those cities vote many, many times.

The rest of us pound our fists in frustration.

Very proud of the state´s gun owners. Sticking it to Gov. Malloy one unregistered owner at a time.

(snip) Critically, Connecticut gun owners have provided a model for citizen activists in other states. (snip) When presented with an unjust law, you can send a simple, clear, and peaceful message. Do not comply. Do not self-identify. Our rights and freedoms are individual and it will be the citizen who decides what is lawful.

Go figure. Get a clue Republicans. If you really want to “represent” the people and win elections, get rid of the spineless RINOs starting with Speaker Boehner and Minority Leader McConnell.

"There’s no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren’t enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What’s there in that for anyone? But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced nor objectively interpreted – and you create a nation of law-breakers – and then you cash in on guilt. Now, that’s the system, Mr. Rearden, that’s the game, and once you understand it, you’ll be much easier to deal with.”

History tells of many instances where good men said in one manner or another, ´Come and take them´ (Battle of Thermopylae by King Leonides, at Fort Morris in Georgia during the American Revolution, and during the Texas War for Independence at the Battle of Gonzales). Connecticut gun owners are leading as yet a quiet rebellion - but just let authorities get petulant - SOMEONE will stand up.

#6 has a an excellent point. Don´t assume everyone in New England is a mindless Obamabot. The major urban areas--just as in California--control the vote, because the Democrats control the cities. There are big swathes of CT. and MA. that are red.

Things can always flip. All you need is a change of 5-6% of the electorate. I love Texas, but in 2012, 44.34% of its voters went for Obama.

The only reason Democrats want gun control? is to take away from the public´s ability to defend themselves... against Democrat Tyranny.

There can be no other reason. But they sell it by claiming it will reduce gun violence; for our own good.

But what it will really do is enable and empower criminals because they won´t adhere to the laws and will use a gun in a crime anyway; while the law abiding citizen is left defenseless.

Not since we read Shakespeare’s “Merchant of Venice” have we encountered logic as twisted as the proposal to rescue the failing Middle East “peace process” by freeing Jonathan Pollard. That is the news on the Drudge Report, which links to a Reuters dispatch reporting that Pollard, who is being held by America on a life sentence for spying for Israel, and “groups of Palestinian prisoners” could be “freed under an emerging deal to salvage Middle East peace talks.” It attributes this news to “sources close to the negotiations,” who say Pollard could be out by April. Spanish historians say they have discovered what Monty Python could not – the Holy Grail, the legendary cup Jesus supposedly drank from at the Last Supper. The Spaniards – Margarita Torres and José Ortega del Río – believe the 2,000-year-old vessel is in a church in León in northern Spain. The pair spent three years studying the history of the chalice and last week published a book, “The Kings of the Grail,” making their case. The onyx chalice, they explained, was concealed within another antique vessel known as the Chalice of Doña Urruca, which is located in León’s basilica of

This week, the United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is releasing its latest report, the “Working Group II Contribution to the Fifth Assessment Report.” Like its past reports, this one predicts apocalyptic consequences if mankind fails to give the UN the power to tax and regulate fossil fuels and subsidize and mandate the use of alternative fuels. But happily, an international group of scientists I have been privileged to work with has conducted an independent review of IPCC’s past and new reports, along with the climate science they deliberately exclude or misrepresent.

Say this for Bill de Blasio: He seems educable. He ran full-tilt away from another potentially titanic confrontation with Gov. Cuomo last week — this one about housing subsidies — after absorbing an astonishing public thrashing from the governor in February over gouge-the-rich taxation and charter schools, among other things. Public humiliation can be a terrific teaching tool, and Cuomo has neither spared the rod nor spoiled the mayor, beginning on Day One. (But always wearing a smile, of course). A startling rift appeared Tuesday on the Supreme Court as the three female Justices came out swinging like Brunnhildes — women warriors — for what they erroneously labeled an “entitlement” to employer-provided contraceptives and morning-after pills. The Justices were hearing oral arguments in Sebelius v. Hobby Lobby Stores, Inc., a case hyped by the Democratic Party as a test for women’s rights. Justices Kagan, Ginsberg, and Sotomayor sprang on Hobby Lobby’s attorney , interrupting his every sentence and pummeling him with questions taken right out of the Democratic Party’s “war on women” playbook. In my view, Michael is probably tied for most influential and respected Religion Clauses scholar in the nation today, both on the Free Exercise Clause side and the Establishment Clause side. He obviously has a perspective of his own on the underlying issues — he was, for instance, a forceful critic of the Court’s Employment Division v. Smith decision (a decision that I myself support, though I also support the existence of jurisdiction-by-jurisdiction Religious Freedom Restoration Act statutes). But his writings are always very much worth reading.

This comes despite falling methane emission levels across the economy since 1990. The White House has proposed cutting methane emissions from the dairy industry by 25 percent by 2020. They say it contains enzymes known as HMGF (hydroxy methyl glutaryl flavonones) which can attack proteins in the body known to cause heart disease.
