Jeb Bush Heading To NYC
To Test Bush v. Clinton

New York Sun, by Ira Stoll

Original Article

Posted By:Drive, 2/18/2014 8:13:55 AM

The former governor of Florida, Jeb Bush, will be speaking and getting an award in New York City this spring at the Manhattan Institute’s annual Alexander Hamilton dinner. The save-the-date notice that went out last week about the dinner, which is to take place in May, will only add to speculation about whether Mr. Bush intends to run for president in 2016. If he does, accepting the Manhattan Institute invitation is a smart move — it will provide Mr. Bush some valuable exposure before a large audience of right-of-center donors and intellectuals. A Bush candidacy, at least on paper, has a certain

From History text of 2050... " As the century turned the United States began to decline at an accelerating rate. Yale man Bush the Elder pushed for open borders and trade deals to help the multinational companies deal with his New World Order dream. Yale man Clinton took the country down the same road, pushing left but securing Wall Street unprecedented profits at the cost of US jobs. With Bush the Younger, cronyism met with an unexpected surge in federal spending to push the system to a breaking point in corrupt finances. All the while, Bush spouted meaningless conservative bromides to keep the conservatives at bay. The Obama years followed and the disaster of the AFC and the refusal to prepare a fix in order to protect the legacy of the first African-American President backfired on the Clinton candidacy of 2016. As markets fell and riots broke out in the streets, President Jeb Bush announced the inclusion of Obama as the first new face to be added to Mount Rushmore...

No more Bushes, Clintons, Obamas, etc. Papa Bush failed with his trade agreements, Clinton corrupted the office he occupied to new lows with his perversion. Bush´s worst decision - under pressure from a democRAT congress - was to create Homeland Security, the TSA and allow them to unionize. Obama, coming from the Chicago sewer, is destroying the country from within with his dictatorship. This country has a cancerous tumor that is spreading. It is way too big about to explode and needs to be taken care of. We need a leader, not another dirty politician. There are none in the image of Churchill, Reagan and Thatcher.

In late February, the City University of New York announced that it had tapped Princeton economist and New York Times blogger Paul Krugman for a distinguished professorship at CUNY’s Graduate Center and its Luxembourg Income Study Center, a research arm devoted to studying income patterns and their effect on inequality. About that. According to a formal offer letter obtained under New York’s Freedom of Information Law, CUNY intends to pay Krugman $225,000, or $25,000 per month (over two semesters), to “play a modest role in our public events” and “contribute to the build-up” of a new “inequality initiative.” It is not

Mayor de Blasio and his wife made $167,047 in income, $52,000 in rental income on a second home in Park Slope, and reported charitable donations that totaled just 3% of their income, or $5,597.

Attorney General Eric Holder‘s planned meeting with mainstream media outlets’ Washington bureau chiefs have been stalled after the Justice Department indicated that the conversations would be off-the-record. The New York Times‘ executive editor Jill Abramson was the first to decline the invitation, and shortly after the AP, CNN, CBS News and The Huffington Post followed suit. With much of the debate over the DOJ’s subpoena guidelines revolving around reporter James Rosen, Fox News clearly has a vested interest in the outcome of the meeting. Here’s a thought for the day: Most people are “nice”, but Christians should be nice with a purpose. I am not a fan of the sitcom Rev, which depicts a vicar trying to be kind to his parishioners – with hilarious consequences. His congregation is small, full of delinquents, and the eponymous clergymen is often driven to drink by their unholy antics. Justin Welby disagrees with the show’s depiction of Anglican life because he notes that many churches are growing. The Rev’s, by contrast, conforms to a self-lacerating vision of Christianity as nice but niche. But self-laceration is the stock-in-trade of the

Louisiana Democratic Sen. Mary Landrieu, in a neck-and-neck race for re-election, is taking a lot of criticism over a new ad -- her first this season -- depicting herself taking on "Washington" to protect the interests of Louisiana´s oil and gas industry. What Landrieu did to invite the ridicule was to re-create for her ad producers her own performance in a Senate hearing -- complete with set, supporting cast, fake nameplate, and even phony news chyrons -- to show her standing up for her state. The unspoken message of the ad -- something Landrieu could never say directly -- is that

Last week, the president’s lap dog blew his dog whistle. In case you didn’t know, in politics a “dog whistle” is coded language that has a superficial meaning for everybody, but also a special resonance for certain constituencies. The administration’s “smart diplomacy” does not include providing aid to those who fight internal oppression or outside aggression and whose victory potentially would obviate the need for direct U.S. action. Hence, President Obama gave Iran’s Green Revolution the cold shoulder in June 2009. He denied aid, and then dragged his feet on delivering aid to non-jihadi rebels in Syria. Now, it should come as no surprise, he is unwilling to provide Ukraine with military aid or intelligence to defend itself against Russian aggression.

Although the Civil Rights Act, the landmark legislation which just reached its 50th anniversary, made great strides in desegregating the economy, economic discrimination is still widespread, and anti-discrimination legislation alone can never rectify the economic damage inflicted upon blacks by slavery and our Jim Crow apartheid regime. The Civil Rights Act was a mild reform, all things considered, but one conservatives fought with vigor and one many conservatives are still bitter about to this day. When the Civil Rights Act passed in 1964, the primary purpose was to root out discrimination in public accommodations (like hotels and movie theaters)

But in a second test, when one researcher favoured a white recipient over an Asian one, they picked the ‘fair’ researcher less often, the journal Frontiers in Psychology reports.
