Caddell Bombshell: GOP Establishment

RUSH: The Republican Party establishment... Let me set this up if by going back to the 2012 presidential campaign. Remember when you learned that the Romney campaign, along with Republican establishment types, had put the word out that there was to be no criticism of Obama? In fact, I remember... I think I told you all this. A prospective Republican presidential candidate in 2010 or 2011 visited me. There was some confab here in Palm Beach, and this man called and wanted to come by and tell me what his plans were. So I said, "Sure, come on by Sunday

We know Karl Rove has declared war on the TEA Party people. Boehner has echoed his dislike of the TEA Party. Doesn´t anyone think it was odd the Establishment Repubs seem to have ignored the IRS scandals? I think the DemocRATS have successfully neutered the Establishment Republicans. John Boehner is a washout. He is an Obama lapdog. The TEA Party folks are the only people I trust nowadays in Washington, DC. We are really in a fix, the Republican Party as we knew it has been broken and they are actively fighting the TEA Party People.

The mainstream republican party has become so self satisfied in their cushy positions of prestige, they are jealous of any attention the “tea party” gets from rational Americans. As difficult as it may seem, they may well succeed in losing the next election and maintaining their present situations.

The tea partiers are composed of both disaffected Repubs and democrats, the last I heard! If they are so dangerous, why then, is Europe starting to vocally admire and call themselves "tea partiers" (in a sense). They are fighting the government, immigration and taxes and those on the dole. The elite Repubs are in for a surprise in 2014.

"When you have 71 percent who want an investigation, 64 percent who believe it is a sign of corruption including nearly a majority of Democrats, the reason is the establishment Republicans want the IRS to go after the Tea Party. Got it? They want them to go after the Tea Party because the Tea Parties are an outside threat to their power hold. And I’m telling you the lobbying consulting class of the Republican Party or Republican leadership who have been attacking the Tea Party and alienating them, they want the IRS to do this!" ~ Pat Caddell

People like Caddell and Levin are heroes speaking truth to the corrupt in power. I just wish they and a few others like Cruz, Lee, and Palin would get together and do something effective to challenge the corrupt elites. Article V reforms and similar measures will not happen without an organized political (not just 501(c)4 educational - thank you IRS) entity to elect candidates that will shepherd them through, especially at the state level.

Probably true. There is no reason to think the present GOP leadership and many in the ranks are any less corrupt or even different than their friends across the aisle.

Be realistic about what our government has become. Whether America rotted from Washington or America elected what it deserves is an academic question.

Well Duh! Boehner removed the TP members from committees months ago. Romney says they are not part of the republican party. McConnell wants them gone. Pacs were formed to rid the party of the TP. McCain called them wacko birds. Let´s face it the DC career politicians & big $$$$ elites want power as much as the dems & they resent the TP coming in & attempting to fix things. They love their cushy retirements, trips, big staffs, pork, they love the fact no one can investigate congress but congress, not being held accountable for being absent etc. As long as Boehner is in power forget winning elections. He´s a divider. He should be bringing the party together, there is room for everyone. He could take lessons from the dems they include everyone.

The column I wrote last week, it turns out, has created somewhat of a storm. This is due to one thing only: Rush Limbaugh read it aloud on his radio program. (Start reading in the middle from where it says “BREAK TRANSCRIPT.”) That one decision by Rush led all of our mutual enemies to go viral, sending numerous Tweets and Facebook posts attacking Rush and me for supposedly arguing that the anti-Semitic neo-Nazi Glenn Miller acted because of Max Blumenthal. Of course, as I wrote last week in an addendum, this was not the point I was making. I wrote the following, and repeat it once again:

Iran is insisting that the United States accept its decision to appoint a former terrorist as it representative to the United Nations, which held a closed-door meeting on Tuesday to address Tehran’s concerns over the matter. President Barack Obama signed into law last week a widely supported bill preventing countries from appointing terrorists as their U.N. ambassadors. The bill came in response to Iran’s selection of Hamid Aboutalebi as its next envoy to the United Nations. The pick drew outrage on Capitol Hill and elsewhere after Aboutalibi was identified as having played a key role in the 1979 Iranian hostage crisis,

Also, Obama’s itinerary includes a meeting with “Malaysian civil society leaders,” but according to the White House he will not meet with Anwar Ibrahim, the veteran opposition leader who since the late 1990s has been embroiled in a legal battle with the government widely viewed as a politically motivated harassment campaign. If Jeb reaches for the nomination, there will be a titanic battle between the party establishment and the Tea Party. Steve Schmidt, McCain’s strategist in 2008, insists that in the end Republicans usually settle on the most electable candidate. There’s a pattern of falsifying statistics throughout the entire Census Bureau. As I’ve been writing for more than six months, the Census Bureau office in Philadelphia uncovered a case of fraud in 2010, did nothing about it and allowed the practice to continue. In that instance, a data collector named Julius Buckmon was faking reports that went into the nation’s all-important jobless tally and consumer-inflation survey. There is nothing like it in the democracies of Europe, which came into being with nations already carved up into private fiefdoms.
