ANN COULTER: Different branches have different roles. In terms of writing legislation, the president´s role is quite clearly laid out as he sort of indicates but then ignores with his pen, with his veto pen. That is his role. Then he has a phone. He can call Congressmen, he can call Senators and say, this is what I´d like in the law. But other than that, he has no role in writing legislation. He is vetoing legislation by refusing to enforce it. The constitution demands that the president of the United States take care that the laws be faithfully executed. He

Comments:
I give her credit for stating the truth, especially in the dangerous world we now live in. She didn´t mention that the Democrats rule the Senate. I don´t think that even if we held the Senate that the Republicans would even have the stomach for it.

After the BJ debacle, I seriously doubt that any Democrat could or will ever be impeached for anything at all. There just isn´t the "fire in the belly" for it anymore.

Republicans are leaving the party and signing up as independents in droves. The Republican party needs to die just like the democratic part is so obsolete and socialist. Over 40% is independent today and they are yearning for a real leader who will live by the constitution.

The "D" after their name stands for "Degenerate" and means they can do anything they want without fear of reprisal. A Democrat can sin, lie, steal, rape, etc., and get away with it while accusing his honest Republican opponent of being "mean-spirited and nasty" when he brings his opponent´s vile behavior into the public discourse of a campaign. Let´s face it, Democrats are the anti-American, anti-God, anti-Morality, anti-Military Party.

Republican presidential hopefuls

The Hill [Washington, DC], by Timothy Cama    Original Article

GOP presidential hopefuls are largely steering clear of Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy’s fight with the federal government. The showdown, which left armed militia members and feds staring each other down last week, has captivated talk radio and cable news shows, turning Bundy into a conservative cause célèbre. Yet Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and Mike Huckabee, a former Arkansas governor and 2008 presidential candidate, are the only big-name Republicans to have spoken out on the dispute so far. Tea Party favorite Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) has been silent, and Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) and Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) have also not

The U.S. is sending helmets, sleeping bags and generators to support the Ukrainian military -- but stopped short of approving other items the interim government reportedly says it needs to stand up to the might of Moscow, saber-rattling on its doorstep. Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel announced Thursday that the U.S. will send the additional non-lethal military aid. The additional aid was announced as fighting between Ukraine´s military and pro-Russian factions intensified in the eastern part of the country. Hagel, speaking at a press conference at the Pentagon with his Polish counterpart, said the approved aid would include medical supplies, helmets, sleeping mats,

President Obama on Thursday morning welcomed injured veterans participating in the Wounded Warrior Project´s Soldier Ride, calling them an “incredible inspiration to me and to our country.” "This is a mark of how far you´ve come. President Obama´s budget would not place the federal debt on a downward path over the next 10 years, according to projections released by the Congressional Budget Office on Thursday. The CBO, Congress’ nonpartisan budget scorekeeper, projected that if the president’s proposals were to go into effect, federal debt held by the public would rise from $12.8 trillion at the end of fiscal 2014 to $19.9 trillion in 2024, leaving the level of debt as a share of total economic output constant, at roughly 74 percent. That would be lower than the baseline projection of 78 percent if nothing is done,

Media Matters for America is apparently resisting an effort by Service Employees International Union Local 500 to unionize its staff. Last week, the union filed a representation petition with the National Labor Relations Board, indicating that the nonprofit media watchdog organization rejected an effort by the union to organize MMFA´s staff through a Card Check election. A filing with the NLRB does not necessarily mean that the union and management are in direct confrontation. For example, although Volkswagen tacitly backed the United Auto Workers´ recent effort to organize its Chattanooga, Tenn., plant, the company still insisted on an NLRB-monitored election. In some of his harshest comments about the administration´s lackluster foreign policy to date, Sen. McCain, the top foreign policy expert in Congress, said that U.S. credibility to lead the war against terrorist states cracked when Obama failed to make good on his threats against Syrian chemical attacks and when the al Qaeda retook Fallujah where the bloodiest battle in Iraq took place, killing 96 Americans and wounding 600. Sending scores of armed agents along with helicopters and dogs to confront an elderly Nevada rancher over grazing fees may seem like overkill, but critics say it’s not inconsistent with the federal government’s recent approach to environmental enforcement. The simmering truce between the Bundys and the Bureau of Land Management comes after high-profile raids last year by armed federal agents on small-time gold miners in tiny Chicken, Alaska, and guitar makers at the Gibson Guitar facilities in Tennessee. That doesn’t include more subtle threats, such as recent efforts by the Obama administration to raise grazing fees or pressure

Second, the Obama administration, clearly embarrassed by these lavish and frequent family vacations, stonewalls the release of records at every turn. Toddlers show racial bias when picking playmates, a study reveals. They also take account of how fairly others behave. Researchers tested the reaction of white 15-month-olds as toys were distributed. Two white adults divided the toys, one equally and the other unequally. Seventy per cent of the toddlers chose to play with the researcher who distributed the toys fairly. But in a second test, when one researcher favoured a white recipient over an Asian one, they picked the ‘fair’ researcher less often, the journal Frontiers in Psychology reports. How do you ensure that you won’t be ostracized, denounced, or fired if you are a media celebrity, captain of industry, or high public official? For some, sexist banter is certainly no problem. Stand-up comedian Bill Maher called Sarah Palin a c–t and a tw-t, but suffered no ill consequences. David Letterman joked on air that Sarah Palin’s 14-year-old daughter had had sex with Alex Rodriguez during a New York Yankees game. There was no downside to that either. President Obama tosses around “sweetie” as he wishes. No problem with that. No one believes Barack could be condescending to women.
