Exclusive -- Don’t ‘Turn
Texas into a Liberal Swamp’

Breitbart Texas, by Ted Cruz

Original Article

Posted By:LittleHoodedMonk, 2/17/2014 9:56:00 AM

The Texas story of jobs, growth, and opportunity should be a model to celebrate, yet, there’s a new movement afoot to stomp out our enterprising spirit. Over the past decade, Texas has been an economic powerhouse. The state has created 3 out of every 10 American jobs over the last decade and recently surpassed California in tech export sales. (Snip) Today, political operatives are swarming the Lone Star State to turn Texas into a liberal swamp. At the same time, the Obama Administration is trying to make Texas buckle under a torrent of federal rules and regulations. My office recently issued a report about the Obama Administration’s assault

Comments:
Ted lays out the dirty tricks that 0bama has tried to use to stymie the growth and appeal Texas has as a Red State. And, we are fighting against the DC "machine" and winning. Take heart, America.

When I watch the news and hear about Wendy Davis and her pink tennis shoes, I marvel that the Dems in Texas can´t come up with a more believable candidate. God help Texas if they choose someone that incompetent - she doesn´t even lie very well.

Your wife, V.P. at Goldman-Sachs robs us blind but we won´t let texas be turned into a liberal swamp. Just a greed-filled monstrosity.

We have zero tolerance about political attacks without specific proof. Find a current article about Mrs. Cruz that proves your point and post it. If not, this style of reply will get you blocked. LCom Staff.

One example Ted left off the list was the emergency order the EPA brought against Range Resources for contaminating ground water.

A farmer brought in a well water sample that contained small amounts of methane and a trace of benzene. Range Resources had drill 2 wells within 2200 feet, but even further separated in vertical distance from the water table. That was ALL the evidence needed by EPA under the Safe Drinking Water Act to make all sorts of demands of Range. Range fought back.

In 2012 the 5th Circuit Appeals Court stepped in and scheduled a review. The EPA dropped the their action because they would have to actually establish a link based on evidence and a ruling against them would hinder their ability to stop others with Emergency Orders.

As the search for the missing flight MH370 enters its 10th day with few clues as to its whereabouts, the New Straits Times said today the Boeing 777-200ER dropped 5,000 feet (1,500m) to evade commercial radar detection. In an exclusive story, the government-backed paper said investigators analysing MH370’s flight data revealed that the 200-tonne, fully laden twinjet descended 1,500m or even lower to evade commercial (secondary) radar coverage after it turned back from its flight path en route to Beijing. London - The German utility RWE said on Sunday that it had reached a preliminary agreement to sell its oil and natural gas subsidiary, RWE Dea, to the Russian billionaires Mikhail Fridman and German Khan for 5.1 billion euros, or roughly $7 billion. (Snip) The latest transaction brings the Russian investors a small oil company based in Hamburg, Germany, that could be a useful platform on which to build a wider empire. In Sunday’s statement RWE said that the Russian investment group intended to make the German unit “the principal conduit of the group’s investments in the oil and gas industry.”

With the world waiting for the official results of Crimea´s referendum on leaving Ukraine and joining Russia, news anchor Dmitry Kiselyov took to the Rossiya 1 news channel to put the situation into a broader geopolitical context for views. One part of his explanation, however, has caught a lot of attention: Kiselyov explained to his viewers that Russia is the only country capable of turning the United States into "radioactive ashes." He then went on to use animated maps to show exactly how Russia would automatically respond with nuclear missiles if command and control were attacked or disabled by a U.S. attack.

Washington - The Obama administration more often than ever censored government files or outright denied access to them last year under the U.S. Freedom of Information Act, according to a new analysis of federal data by The Associated Press. The administration cited more legal exceptions it said justified withholding materials and refused a record number of times to turn over files quickly that might be especially newsworthy. Most agencies also took longer to answer records requests, the analysis found. The government´s own figures from 99 federal agencies covering six years show that half way through its second term,

Vladimir Putin has won. In Russia, support for his war in Ukraine is overwhelming. And his approval rating has finally recovered after falling drastically in December 2011, when the Russian protest movement erupted. Putin claimed reelection to his third term as president in March 2012, as mass demonstrations were taking place in cities and towns across Russia. Official tallies said he won with 63 percent of the vote, but independent exit polls suggested he captured about 50 percent — hardly a show of overwhelming support for a virtually unopposed candidate (none of the four opponents he handpicked for the ballot

Washington - An experimental drug made from snail venom has shown early signs of promise in numbing pain, raising hopes in the hunt for new, non-addictive medications, researchers said Sunday. The drug, which has not been tested yet on humans, was judged to be about 100 times more potent than morphine or gabapentin, which are currently considered the gold standard for chronic nerve pain. The active ingredient, conotoxin, comes from carnivorous cone snails, which are common in the western Pacific and Indian Ocean. The marine animals can reach out and stab prey, injecting a venom that paralyzes fish long enough

By now it’s settled on most people, including Democrats, that the loss of Alex Sink to David Jolly in Florida’s 13th Congressional District was, in the words of the New York Times, “devastating” to Democrats. It’s a district Ms. Sink carried in her unsuccessful race for governor against Rick Scott, a district that Barack Obama carried in his two elections, and a district that demographically now favors Democrats. In addition, Ms. Sink raised more money and ran a better campaign than Jolly. Even Bill Clinton lent his efforts to her campaign. And yet she lost. What should particularly alarm Democrats is

Last week, the U.S. Tenth Circuit decided a case that should reverberate on Capitol Hill. In Kerr v. The three-judge panel — consisting of Carter and Clinton appointees — ruled in favor of the legislators’ standing. This decision should embolden members of Congress who correctly believe that President Obama has encroached upon Congress’ constitutional authority. Indeed, Congress should do no less in defending its authority than the five Colorado state legislators.
