Backlash builds against CNN for
interviewing George Zimmerman

Fox News, by Howard Kurtz

Original Article

Posted By:HoneyBadger, 2/17/2014 7:57:54 AM

George Zimmerman is stepping back into the media spotlight — and that is generating sparks of controversy. It’s understandable that plenty of people never want to see his face again. He is the man who killed Trayvon Martin, and while he was acquitted of murder in their fatal street encounter, the fact remains that an unarmed black teenager is dead. Since the Florida trial that became a media sensation, Zimmerman has had several run-ins with law enforcement. After his wife left him, his 27-year-old girlfriend called police and said he had aimed a shotgun at her, and authorities arrested him and temporarily confiscated a shotgun, assault-style rifle and three handguns.

I quit reading after "unarmed black teenager". One doesn´t have to be carrying a gun to be "armed". St. Skittles had his fists and a concrete sidewalk.

This trial was a sham from the beginning. All involved were trying to make a name for themselves and be politically correct, as they see it. They wanted the publicity. When GZ was found not guilty the media and the other pompous airheads were apoplectic. Kurtz is an idiot and has nothing meaningful to add to the discussion.

" while he was acquitted of murder in their fatal street encounter, the fact remains that an unarmed black teenager is dead. "

No, Howie. A young black thug, armed with his fists, his larger size, the element of surprise and a concrete sidewalk is dead. Killed in self-defense by the person he attacked in the dark.

Zimmerman is a tormented man because no one cares that he was the intended victim in this case who managed to save his own life, only to be demonized by the press and the black grievance industry.

Leave him alone. He needs time to heal.

I followed the trial completely.......listened to all the testimony as it streamed live on the computer from the courtroom........the jury had the correct verdict....only those who did not follow the complete testimony and just listened to the press believe that Zimmerman was guilty.....the case turned on race......

GZ is an innocent man hounded by corrupt prosecutors and a racist agenda of Holder et al.
Trayvon was a thug with mma training, expelled from school and kicked out of his Mother´s house because she couldn´t handle him.
He had been raised by his fathers ex wife.

President Obama is lending his political support to fellow community organizer Al Sharpton by headlining the MSNBC host’s National Action Network (NAN) conference this week in New York. Obama’s choice to headline the conference underscores the close ties of the two leaders and provides an increased sense of political legitimacy to the controversial leader and his much-maligned organization. Sharpton’s conference is held in April "not just to commemorate the anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s assassination, but to honor his legacy by proactively engaging in dialogue that will spawn change." The NY Daily News reports that along with President Obama,

As the audience laughed, Biden interjected. “Oh, the same one, the same one,” he said, waving his hands in an attempt to clarify. “The same one.”

We live in a strange time in American politics. It wasn’t that long ago — like, maybe two years — when a cancer victim struggling with insurance coverage would receive a sympathetic ear from the news media. They might even send one of those “consumer advocate” teams to shove cameras in the faces of the insurance officials and demand to know how they could be so heartless. What the media would surely not do, after hearing of a cancer patient struggling with insurance, would be this:Contact the insurance company.Receive assurance from the insurance company’s PR spokesman that everything was just fine.

Democrats know their biggest problem in this year’s midterm election is Obamacare. So top party operatives have settled on a strategy to try blunting the GOP’s advantage: Tell voters Republicans would make the problem worse — raising prescription drug prices, empowering insurance companies and even endangering domestic violence victims. The battle plan, details of which were in a memo obtained by POLITICO, recognizes the unpopularity of the Affordable Care Act. But it also banks on voter fatigue with the GOP’s relentless demands for repeal and counts on poll-backed data that show many Americans would rather fix Obamacare’s problems than scrap it

President Obama addressed the White House press corps today, announcing that with the final numbers in, Obamacare´s exchanges have attracted eight million sign-ups -- 35 percent of whom are "under the age of 35," he said. Several elements of his comments were misleading: (1) At first blush, the 35 percent stat is both significant and impressive. As recently as last month, the share of "young invincibles" signing up for plans was struggling in the 25 percent range, far short of the actuarial target of nearly 40 percent. A leap into the mid-30´s, while still shy of the goal, would constitute a major step, and would bode well for the risk pools'

President Obama was apparently “stunned” to see the fox roaming freely down the oft-photographed White House colonnade, home to the world’s shortest, but most dramatic, outdoor strolls.
