In Indonesia, Kerry blasts
climate change deniers

Jakarta, Indonesia - Climate change may be the world´s "most fearsome" weapon of mass destruction and urgent global action is needed to combat it, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said on Sunday, comparing those who deny its existence or question its causes to people who insist the Earth is flat. In a speech to Indonesian students, civic leaders and government officials in Jakarta, Kerry laid into climate change skeptics, accusing them of using shoddy science and scientists to delay measures needed to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases at the risk of imperiling the planet. He also went after those

Comments:
"Global warming" is indeed a dangerous government weapon designed to drive us all into poverty, and a most profitable weapon one at that. Good thing for the liars and frauds that the so-called opposition keeps funding "global warming," and refusing to prosecute the criminals who create it.

This is so embarrassing. This buffon is talking about global warming - aka climate change like if he knows what he is talking about and trying to convince people that "the government" can change mother nature while the middle east is on fire. This from the people that cannot make a website that works. It is infuriating.

Okay, John. You and Teresa give up the house on Nantucket, the house in Italy, the house in Aspen, the townhouse on Beacon Hill, and the townhouse in Georgetown; get rid of the fleet of limousines, SUVs, and private jets and helicopters; move to a four room apartment and get around on foot, by bicycle, or subway, and then we´ll talk.

Obama flies to Palm Springs on an enormous 747 for 3 days of golf with his Choom drug gang. The Mooch flies on a 757 to Aspen for a separate ski vacation. Kerry flies 12,000 miles to Indonesia for a speech to students and government officials about man caused global cataclysm. After their brazen consumption of energy, we are then criticized for not taking an imaginary fear seriously. Worse, we are forced to buy cars we don´t want, to fund wasteful green projects that enrich Obama´s cronies and to pay ever higher rates for electricity. Our country has gone mad.

If AGW (man caused global warming) is a weapon of mass destruction, its being carried by a million snails that don´t have compasses. For the last 16 years there is no evidence that the climate has warmed. However, because hydraulic fracturing to produce oil has liberated so much gas as a by-product, its cost is now competitive with coal and many power plants have done a partial replacement. Economics not government drive change.

Lemme see: the predictions of the AGW computer projections have for the most part proved false.

Critical to the scientific method is the ability of a model or theory to predict something that cannot be explained by other models or theories. (Familiar examples include nuclear fusion and black holes.) Hindsight is 20/20, as they say: prove your model by predicting something accurately, for a change.

Who, again, are the deniers?

Barry takes a 747 from DC to CA to play golf at billionaires private course in the desert where it takes thousands of gallons of scarce water to keep it green while complaining about a record drought caused by CO2 emissions. Meanwhile Michelle takes another jet to CO for a weekend ski vacation. At the same time John Kerry flies to Indonesia to deliver a message that Man Caused Climate change is the new weapon of mass destruction and will destroy all of us if trillions are not spent (taxed first) to stop it. All tolled their trips including at least 3 large cargo planes full of large gas guzzling SUVs and support equipment spew over 6400 tons of CO2 in just this one weekend. The average car puts out 5.1 tons of CO2 in an entire year which means that in just one weekend these fear mongering climate zealots put out the equivalent of 1200 cars yearly CO2 output! I doubt you´ll see any articles in the main stream media making this point.

With the bells of Notre Dame heralding a glorious Easter Sunday morning, a tourist uses a cash point a short stroll from the ancient Paris cathedral. Within seconds he is surrounded by an aggressive gang of Roma sneak thieves, who make no secret of what they want from him. Feeling hands on his back and arms, the middle age man turns around in horror to see the utterly fearless gang casually trying to help themselves to his money. Such scenes have become so common in the French capital that police last week called for the ´systematic eviction´ of Roma.

Police said the boys first struck about 5:15 a.m., confronting a 31-year-old man jogging in the park on the Fifth Ave. side near E. 95th St. The youths, one wielding a small wooden bat, demanded the man´s money, cops said. Wichita Falls is still waiting for state approval to begin tapping its supply of treated wastewater, but this city 100 miles northwest of Fort Worth is already thinking about what comes next. If it gets approval to recapture and recycle 5 million gallons of effluent, Wichita Falls believes the city will have about a two year supply of water if the drought doesn’t let up. So that is forcing this city of 104,000 to study where it would go for water if the lake levels at its three reservoirs — Lake Arrowhead, Lake Kickapoo and Lake Kemp — keep dropping.

The policy had been quietly updated last week to include terms under which any dispute with the company would have to be decided through arbitration, a change first reported by the New York Times last week. Critics and legal experts said the new terms could cost consumers their right to sue in court if they merely "liked" General Mills´ social media pages, downloaded coupons from its website or entered any company-sponsored contests.

Perhaps the most remarkable feature of American democracy is the magnificent estate of public land that it reserved from the very beginning for the use of all citizens, rich or poor. There is nothing like it in the democracies of Europe, which came into being with nations already carved up into private fiefdoms. The Great Idea that hundreds of millions of acres of forests, deserts, rivers and prairies should be owned by, and managed for, the public interest has had a profound and lasting influence on American culture. But not everyone has accepted it. Cliven Bundy’s armed standoff with the National Park

At a petite 5’3’’, Sage Santangelo may not look like a combat fighter at first glance. But the female second lieutenant has never let that hold her back from pursuing her dream of becoming an infantry officer in the Marine Corps. Growing up, Santangelo found she was always able to keep up with the guys and enjoyed playing hockey on all boys’ teams. But when she joined the Marines, Santangelo found the playing field changed; she was segregated into female-only training units and as a woman, was relegated to less strenuous physical training than her male counterparts. And that’s why,

If the Rev. John DeBonville could preach a sermon to lift the souls of churchgoers across America, his message would be simple: Stop dressing so tacky for church. DeBonville has heard about the “come as you are” approach to dressing down for Sunday service, but he says the Sabbath is getting too sloppy. When he scans the pews of churches, DeBonville sees rows of people dressed in their Sunday worst. They saunter into church in baggy shorts, flip-flop sandals, tennis shoes and grubby T-shirts. Some even slide into the pews carrying coffee in plastic foam containers as if they’re going to Starbucks. “It’s like

"No, absolutely not," the November midterm election is not a referendum on President Obama and his policies, Democrat Party Chair Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) told NBC´s "Meet the Press" on Sunday. "[T]hese elections, particularly the Senate elections, are referendums on the candidates running," she said. Asked about vulnerable Democrats who have criticized President Obama´s flawed healthcare law, Wasserman Schultz said they are running their own race. "They have to talk about and focus on the issues that are important to their constituents. And what´s also true is, if you look at the success rate and the track record of

In an op-ed published in the Boston Globe on Easter Sunday and posted on the State Department website, Secretary of State John Kerry recalled his days as an altar boy and pointed out that he is “the first Catholic Secretary of State in 33 years.” Alexander Haig, who served as secretary of state to President Ronald Reagan from January 1981 to July 1982, was also a Catholic. Last month, I traveled to Rome with President Obama, where I was honored to meet His Holiness Pope Francis,” said Kerry. “As an altar boy six decades ago, I never imagined that I

Suppose a scientific conference on cancer prevention never addressed smoking, on the grounds that in a free society you can´t change private behavior, and anyway, maybe the statistical relationships between smoking and cancer are really caused by some other third variable. Wouldn´t some suspect that the scientists who raised these claims were driven by something—ideology, tobacco money—other than science? Yet in the current discussions about increased inequality, few researchers, fewer reporters, and no one in the executive branch of government directly addresses what seems to be the strongest statistical correlate of inequality in the United States: the rise of single-parent

In internal government documents with potential repercussions for the 2016 presidential election, top officials at the U.S. Agency for International Development repeatedly cited former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton for setting into motion a policy to waive restrictions on who could receive U.S. aid in Afghanistan, resulting in millions of dollars in U.S. funds going directly into the coffers of Afghan ministries known to be rife with corruption. References to Mrs. Clinton’s role in the policy first appeared in a November 2012 USAID action memo, which outlined how U.S. officials made a “strategic foreign-assistance
