First lady Michelle Obama and her daughters, Sasha and Malia, arrived in Aspen on Friday for a holiday weekend ski vacation. “It’s her third time here,” said Pitkin County Sheriff Joe DiSalvo of the first lady’s third consecutive trip to Aspen over the President’s Weekend holiday. “She likes it here.” She and the girls are again staying at the home of Jim and Paula Crown, owners of the Aspen Skiing Co.

BO golfing in California, MO and girls skiing in Aspen. Ah, the good life!

The dems are right. I do hate the current residents of the WH. But it has nothing to do with the color of their skin. A $400,000 dinner, a $12,000 dress, separate vacations for her and her husband probably costing a million dollars. Yeah I´m sick of them.

Naive writer says preezy was in California to "address the drought". One speech to farmers in Fresno today. The rest of the time at posh Sunnylands in Palm Springs. (He had to have one official assignment to justify the trip.)

Meanwhile Mooch clogs up Aspen, undoubtedly keeping those who might have treated a loved one to an expensive Valentine´s weekend off the slopes while she bumbles around.

Buttermilk Mountain is the beginner/family area. Perfect for dressed up nonskiers.

And this:

DiSalvo said he was notified three weeks ago of the first lady’s visit and said eight local law enforcement officers — comprised of sheriff’s deputies and Aspen police — have been added to security detail for the Obamas’ visit. They are scheduled to depart on Monday afternoon.

Twenty three very, very expensive, very ritzy vacations so far for Obama and his crew of many hundreds, or perhaps even thousands heh. Us "little people´s" airports, highways, and various venues shut down for their safety and convenience, traffic disrupted for hours, 12K designer gowns, caviar, their dogs sometimes the only passengers on Air Force One @ $158K per hour, chefs flown in, Wagyu steaks @ $125 a pound, and case after case of $150 bottles of Champagne, while the true unemployment rate is something like 13 or 14%, and almost 50 million citizens are on food stamps.

And they say that the French Monarchy is dead. Why, we´ve got our very own Louis XVI and Maria Antoinette sashaying around, noses in the air, spending us "peasants" money like water, directing their sniffs and scowls at us, and telling us rubes that we ought to be grateful that we have rulers of such class, quality, and taste, and never mind about that pesky ol´ outdated Constitution and our Freedom, they-- who have so much more on the ball than we do--will take care of them.

Just keep in mind--as you trudge to work through the snow, or commute for an hour or more to actually do some work and not golf, put on your tux or ball gown, chow down on gourmet food, drink expensive wine served in crystal--neither of which you can afford--and party, or when you have to plan your next delightful and fun-filled "staycation" because you no longer have the extra money to pay for a real vacation--that these no class grifters are trying to gorge themselves, to hit every high spot, to max out every credit and debit card that the American taxpayers have so foolishly provided (anticipating the traditional Presidential moderation of his and his family´s appetites) as, meanwhile, they are laughing themselves silly at your naivete, and just how clueless and powerless you are, as they and their crew bend their every effort to regulate and fleece you, to reduce your freedom, your rights, and your liberty; as they sneer at and do their best to demolish every remnant of traditional America and its way of life they can get their hands on.

The White House systematically delayed enacting a series of rules on the environment, worker safety and health care to prevent them from becoming points of contention before the 2012 election, according to documents and interviews with current and former administration officials. Some agency officials were instructed to hold off submitting proposals to the White House for up to a year to ensure that they would not be issued before voters went to the polls, the current and former officials said.

The Obama administration is engaged in a broad push to make more home loans available to people with weaker credit, an effort that officials say will help power the economic recovery but that skeptics say could open the door to the risky lending that caused the housing crash in the first place. President Obama’s economic advisers and outside experts say the nation’s much-celebrated housing rebound is leaving too many people behind, including young people looking to buy their first homes and individuals with credit records weakened by the recession.

PALM CITY, Fla. – President Obama on Sunday displayed the freedom that comes with not having another election ahead of him, golfing with Tiger Woods in an enclave of privilege here along Florida’s blustery Atlantic coast. Since his reelection in November, Obama has been talking about the perils facing America’s middle class, highlighted in his State of the Union address last week. On Friday he visited a public high school in his hometown of Chicago, where he spoke in personal terms about the need to reduce gun violence and create jobs in the country’s troubled urban areas.

President Obama summoned congressional leaders to a Friday summit at the White House in a last-ditch effort to protect taxpayers, unemployed workers and the fragile U.S. recovery from severe austerity measures set to hit in just four days. Also Thursday, House Speaker John A. Boehner (R-Ohio) announced that he would call the House back into session this weekend. And in perhaps the most significant development, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) for the first time was engaged directly in talks with the White House. Two white adults divided the toys, one equally and the other unequally. Seventy per cent of the toddlers chose to play with the researcher who distributed the toys fairly. But in a second test, when one researcher favoured a white recipient over an Asian one, they picked the ‘fair’ researcher less often, the journal Frontiers in Psychology reports.
