Is Hillary Clinton Too Old to Run?
National Journal, by Charlie Cook

Original Article

At least every week now, there is a new story supporting the narrative of an inevitable 2016 Hillary Clinton presidential bid. Indeed, the conventional wisdom is that it is an absolute certainty that she will run. If anyone is currently saying, flat out, that Hillary isn´t running, I haven´t come across them. Is the inevitability of her run really as certain as the conventional wisdom suggests, and further, is it unfolding in an optimal manner for the potential candidate? In all likelihood, Clinton will not make a final, "go-or-no-go" decision until early next year, after the dust has settled from

Her biggest problem is the baggage that comes with her. She isn´t fit to lead, it´s time for her to go home and bake those cookies and take care of her man for a change.

There are a lot of things Hillary is "too" much of to run. Old is way down at the bottom of the list.

She´s too old, too sneaky, to dishonest and a Phoney! When she was running in NY she had her hair done and her pant suits pressed. When she was Sec of State she had greasy, long hair, no makeup and she was frumpy. NOW...she has a nice new hair style, no wrinkles and a new style coach. WHO is the REAL Hillary? My money says it´s the lazy, frumpy, greasy hair Hillary! Go away!

Physically, possibly. The job is a killer. It´s even making Obama - a young man - look old, and he doesn´t do very much of the job.

Mentally, certainly. Her ideas are old and discredited, and her mind is inflexible and hate-filled.

We had one of those once ~ LBJ went out of office despised by everyone.

The video of her falling into the airplane passenger door is a classic, or the videos of her wandering about with a cast on her arm for falling down at State Department headquarters in the basement, or...... well, there are others.

I have a feeling the Democrats are going to try to replace her with Trumka. He´s got only one person with proof that he´s a murderer, and in Demo circles, that´s considered something they can defend.

Yes. She has fallen many times as Sec. of State. Now that could be her age or her drinking problem. She has had a brain disorder which put her in the hospital just when she was to testify before Congress about her incompetence at handling Benghazi. I am not sure her brain is healed. Look and listen to Biden. He has had two brain aneurisms and listen to his gaffes and watch him act the buffoon during the debates. He is still in recovery.

U.S. military assets in the Black Sea are on high alert amid reports Ukraine troops traded gunfire Tuesday with pro-Russian militants. A journalist with Associated Press reported intense gunfire at an airport in eastern Ukraine after the government sent in army troops to retake control from militiamen loyal to Russian President Vladimir Putin. The mayor of Kramatorsk told the Associated Press that Ukrainian troops have now occupied the military airport and are blocking its entrance. The action comes a day after the revelation a Russian fighter jetted buzzed a U.S.S. destroyer multiple times over the Black Sea.

House Democrats are rolling out a new strategy to target 30 House Republicans on immigration reform during the two-week congressional recess, marking a last-ditch effort to force GOP action on a legislative overhaul. The new pressure tactic includes a memo distributed to those 30 districts held by Republicans who have expressed public support for some sort of immigration reform, many of them backing a pathway to citizenship for millions of undocumented immigrants in the United States. Democrats hope the document — which highlights statements made by those Republicans in favor of reform, as well as data showing the district-specific economic

Scott Walker has a 16 point lead (56-40) among likely voters in his race for governor, according to a poll from Wisconsin Public Radio/St. Norbert’s. Among registered voters, his lead is essentially the same (55-40). The survey was conducted between March 24 and April 3. A Marquette University survey conducted between March 20-23 also showed Walker with a nice, though smaller, lead. In that poll, Walker outdistanced Democrat Mary Burke 48-41. Revealingly, Walker fares well in an electorate that does not seem particularly conservative and that, if anything, appears to be slightly to the left of American voters in general.

Although the Civil Rights Act, the landmark legislation which just reached its 50th anniversary, made great strides in desegregating the economy, economic discrimination is still widespread, and anti-discrimination legislation alone can never rectify the economic damage inflicted upon blacks by slavery and our Jim Crow apartheid regime. The Civil Rights Act was a mild reform, all things considered, but one conservatives fought with vigor and one many conservatives are still bitter about to this day. When the Civil Rights Act passed in 1964, the primary purpose was to root out discrimination in public accommodations (like hotels and movie theaters)
