Stuff Bush Didn´t Do
American Thinker, by Thomas Lifson

Original Article

In the face of five years of Obama failure, the American Left still invokes the specter of George W. Bush as the all-purpose explanation for everything that has gone wrong. (Snip) One good way to force the Left to confront President Obama´s own responsibility for his conduct in office is to compare his abuses of office with the record of President Bush 43, who was reviled by by his opposition as a dictator-wannabe, Constitution-abusing, moronic ogre straddling the line between simian and human. Doug Ross of Director Blue has produced an amusing comic-book approach toward explaining the differences between

Obama has never "abused " his office, nor has had even a smidgen of corruption associated with his administration. Those "progressives" in his employ represent hard working Americans who were screwed by Republicans and racists/sexists/homophobes throughout history. C´mon, that´s their story and facts are meaningless in refuting it.

Bush did not have 3 brothers and a step-granny members of the muslim brotherhood and sisterhood and create a 501C-3 so funds could be used not only for personal enjoyment but also to Support Terrorist groups connected to Hamas. Read the documents recently translated by W.Shoebat at shoebat dot com/page/2/. Follow the links! Shows what McCain and Graham did in Egypt and tried to do for the muslim brotherhood, Hill and Bills connection to the muslim brotherhood. Interesting!!!!

There is not point to arguing with the left about the qualities of Bush vs Obama. These people are neither rational nor fair-minded. They will hold to their false opinion no matter what you say.

What a woman wants: More babies
Washington Examiner, by Timothy P. Carney    Original Article

Many people explain low fertility rates in the West as a fruit of women finally having control over how many babies they have. But there´s evidence that the birth dearth is explained by a large portion of women not having as many babies as they want. Pew looks at surveys of European women near the end of their childbearing years and finds that while most have as many children as they want, about 30 percent have fewer than they would want. Only ten percent have more. In the U.S., 40 percent of women near the end of their childbearing years have fewer children

To begin on a positive note about the outgoing Secretary of Health and Human Services: Kathleen Sebelius was perfectly cordial the one time I met her. It was at a birthday party of Tony Podesta, the corporate lobbyist and top Democratic fundraiser. The secretary took a break that October evening in 2009 from the madness of crafting Obamacare to wish a happy 65th to the man whose clients at the time included Novartis, DaVita, Bristol-Myers Squibb and the National Association for Home Care and Hospice. (Snip) The revolving door always spun freely at Sebelius’s HHS, in almost comically perfect ways.

A federal court has let the world of American academia know that it is not OK to deny a promotion to a professor just because he or she is a conservative. A door has been opened to a nightmare for progressive academics who believe that conservatives are beyond the pale and deserve to be shunned, much as racists a generation or two ago believed that blacks could not possibly merit inclusion in the upper ranks of society. Valerie Richardson of The Washington Times reports: A federal court Wednesday ordered the University of North Carolina-Wilmington to promote and give $50,000 in back pay

The Democrat may no longer believe in God, the Constitution or even motherhood and apple pie, but he devoutly believes that somewhere out there Republicans are sitting in a sealed room and plotting to bring back the 50s. And if not the 50s, then at least the early 60s. The left accuses the right of being deeply paranoid. Meanwhile the left is convinced that every Republican sneeze is a racial putdown of America’s first black president since Bill Clinton.

MEDFORD, Ore. — Hauling a truckload of logs to a Southern Oregon mill last fall, Chris Hill noticed a sheriff’s deputy behind him and flashed his lights to warn a UPS driver coming the other way. The deputy pulled over Hill on U.S. Highway 140 in White City and handed him a $260 ticket for improperly using his headlights, saying another deputy had seen the flashing lights from behind the UPS truck and alerted him to stop the log truck because of the signaling. Outraged, Hill decided to fight the ticket, and on Wednesday, a Jackson County Justice Court judge

Talking about Obamacare’s effects is one thing; seeing hard data is another. Heritage’s newly updated Obamacare in Pictures has 15 charts that show the law’s effects on Americans—from canceled insurance policies to new taxes, Medicare cuts, reduced choice for plans, and more. Here’s a quick look at just three of these charts and how Obamacare is hitting three groups. YOUNG PEOPLE Obamacare says you can stay on your parents’ health insurance until you turn 26. This chart looks at what happens after that—if don’t have employer-sponsored insurance and you have to get insured through Obamacare. If you’re trying to save for a car or

Shutting down a speaker, or a professor, or a book with which you strongly disagree is nothing new. Indeed, if there’s anything really new about Brandeis’ disinvitation to Ayaan Hirsi Ali, it’s that they invited her at all, no matter how briefly. If the school’s donors took freedom seriously, they’d cancel their contributions. But the key to understanding Brandeis is that it has been this way for half a century. Banning Ayaan is indeed the fulfillment of a famous call to censorship by one of the most famous leftist philosophers of the last century: Herbert Marcuse, a Brandeis professor who

Zeituni Onyango, President Obama´s illegal alien aunt, died this week of cancer and other complications. I hope she rests in peace. America, however, should be up in arms. Auntie Zeituni is an enduring symbol of all that is wrong with this country´s immigration "policy" -- or rather, its complete lack of a coherent, enforceable system of laws and rules that puts the national interest first. She was a beneficiary of the welfare state run amok, enabled by bipartisan fecklessness. To the bitter end, she bit the hand that fed her with predictable ingratitude and metastatic entitlement.

"How green bullying, junk science and EU lies killed off another successful industry," I wrote in a piece a few months back. The story went roughly like this: 1. Greenpeace and similar organisations decide to target chemicals industry. 2. They need a heartwarming poster species so they rope in bees. Bees become the new polar bear, about to die out any moment with catastrophic consequences for the world: no honey ever again; also, we all die because who will pollinate our crops? Bees are dying, Greenpeace and co decide, because of chemicals called "neonicotinoids".

When Brandeis University withdrew an honorary degree for Ayaan Hirsi Ali after a student-professor firestorm branded her an "Islamophobe," the campus in effect declared itself an outpost of Islamic law, American-style. Officially, Brandeis is now a place where critics of Islam -- "blasphemers" and "apostates," according to Islamic law -- are scorned and rejected. Not that Brandeis put it that way in its unsigned announcement about Hirsi Ali´s dis-invitation, which notes: "She is a compelling public figure and advocate for women´s rights, and we respect and appreciate her work to protect and defend the rights of women and girls throughout the

Recently, Copenhagen Zoo shot a young giraffe named Marius with a bolt gun, publicly dissected it—like a hanged criminal in eighteenth-century England—in front of children, and then fed the remains to the zoo’s lions. Marius was killed, the zoo said, because there was no space for him, his genes were already well represented in European breeding populations, and he was therefore a surplus animal. Despite offers from other zoos and even a private individual to take Marius, the Danish zoo wanted to avoid the possibility of inbreeding and thought that euthanasia was the best solution. Who throws a shoe? Honestly! That would be 36-year-old Alison Ernst of Phoenix, Arizona, who was charged Thursday night with disorderly conduct by the Las Vegas Police Department after allegedly throwing a shoe at former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. According to NBC News, who spoke with a Secret Service official, the U.S. Attorney’s office has declined federal prosecution. Ernst was wearing shoes on Thursday night when she attended a speech Clinton was giving in Las Vegas, but apparently brought an extra one specifically to throw at the former secretary of state. The official said the incident appeared to be “premeditated.”

Many Americans have been watching with great consternation the ongoing struggle between the Federal Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and the U.S. Marshals against Cliven Bundy and his family. There are no signs of either side relinquishing their position. Many onlookers have been informed that this dispute is over protecting the desert tortoise. But it is nothing of the sort. In fact, the reality of the dispute goes far underneath what is being talked about. The more appropriate source of the dispute is ground water as well as surface water -- this is a war over water. A Nevada cattle rancher appears to have won his week-long battle with the federal government over a controversial cattle roundup that had led to the arrest of several protesters. Cliven Bundy went head to head with the Bureau of Land Management over the removal of hundreds of his cattle from federal land, where the government said they were grazing illegally. Bundy claims his herd of roughly 900 cattle have grazed on the land along the riverbed near Bunkerville, 80 miles northeast of Las Vegas, since 1870 and threatened a "range war" against the BLM on the Bundy Ranch website after one of

When you mention the prospect of Clinton vs. Bush 2016 a funny thing happens. First, there is the reflexive response: "Oh no, not again. We don´t need more dynastic politics in this country." But upon further reflection, you realize Jeb Bush vs. Hillary Clinton would be a great race and actually good for the country. Let´s review. QUALIFICATIONS—THEY’VE BOTH GOT THEM. A rapid shift to wind and solar power is needed if the world is to avoid catastrophic global warming, the United Nations warns in a crucial report today. Emissions of greenhouse gases need to be cut by up to 70 per cent before 2050 to control climate change, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) says. ‘Large-scale changes in energy systems’ are required, with coal power stations to be switched off and replaced by wind and solar. And the transformation needs to be made in the next 15 years or controlling climate change will become increasingly harder and more expensive. The report was published

LAS VEGAS — The Nevada Republican Party stripped opposition to abortion and gay marriage from its platform Saturday as state convention delegates instead focused on judging fellow Republicans on their worthiness to serve in office and adherence to GOP values. The platform, with few changes, was adopted overwhelmingly as the Las Vegas convention stretched late into the evening. The vote mirrors that of the Clark County GOP, which voted earlier to remove platform language defining marriage as between a man and a woman and statements opposing abortion. Many Republicans are re-evaluating their strong stances on conservative social issues as public

It’s hardly been a secret that in recent years the moderate center of the Democrat party has been driven away and what remains is a conglomeration of disparate blocs which, to date, the party has been able to treat as if there were no conflicting interests between them. As the midterm elections approach and the administration’s incompetence, along with the distaste for the president’s signature ObamaCare legislation, drive the party’s chances down further, the make-believe coalition of opposites may well crumble if the opposition doesn’t blow it. Democrats hope to retain control of the Senate and recapture the House by driving
