Medical Center won´t let
patients watch Fox News

Fox News, by Todd Starnes

Original Article

I imagine the only thing worse than being forced to watch CNN inside an airport terminal is being forced to watch it in a doctor’s office. So you can imagine my surprise when I discovered a Michigan health care facility, funded by federal tax dollars, blocked Fox News Channel from its waiting room television sets. The president of Family Health Care directed staff to block Fox News after a board member complained about our network’s coverage of the Affordable Care Act, an employee told me. “The board member complained that patients were turning the channel to Fox News,” said the employee who asked

Comments:
How about letting the patient decide?? What leftist morons they are. As always, because of their selfish radical ideology other people suffer.

I go to the VA Hospital in Loma Linda regularly. Every TV in the place is tuned to CNN. I asked a check in clerk if he can change the channel to ESPN or something else, and he said he could not change it from CNN. Orders.
Now I bring my phone and headphones and listen to podcasts of the Mark Levin Show while I´m in there.

If CNN did not have a monopoly on airports and other captive audiences-they would be even lower in the ratings.
Communist News network -North Korea would be so proud of their premier role in an American gulag.

Reminds me of something that happened to me almost 10 years ago. I had surgery at Beth Israel hospital that was uptown on York Ave/87th St. (since closed)

When they wheeled me back to the room, the woman in the other bed was watching TV -- tuned to FNC. Can you imagine what the odds were of that happening in NYC? She might have been the only other person in Manhattan at that time who watched FNC

Even tho my Drs. have TV´s in their offices, I always bring my Kindle, or my audible books. My GP has a local news station, while affiliated with ABC, does not take one side or the other. I´ve never paid attention to what is on at my cardiologist. And again, at the health club, it´s an iPod, or an audible book. I just don´t listen to what others want, and refuse to push my libertarian beliefs on people who would not listen.

If I forget ear plugs for my medical appointment, I use the tissue provided at the desk and roll into suitably sized torpedoes for my suffering ears. The foam plugs are great, though, and easily fit into a pocket or purse. I usually have a couple of pairs in each purse. The older I get the more I want quiet. The only inconvenience is you have to sit near the call-out door.

President Obama addressed the White House press corps today, announcing that with the final numbers in, Obamacare´s exchanges have attracted eight million sign-ups -- 35 percent of whom are "under the age of 35," he said. Several elements of his comments were misleading: (1) At first blush, the 35 percent stat is both significant and impressive. As recently as last month, the share of "young invincibles" signing up for plans was struggling in the 25 percent range, far short of the actuarial target of nearly 40 percent. A leap into the mid-30´s, while still shy of the goal, would constitute a major step, and would bode well for the risk pools'

Even though the number of illegal immigrants who have been deported through the courts has dropped by 43% since President Barack Obama took office, the Obama administration may enact administrative changes to allow bond hearings for detained illegal immigrants. It’s pitiful that we’ve reached this point, but Obama’s account of this chat really is more credible than Cantor’s. O’s position on immigration is straightforward: He wants amnesty badly, partly for legacy reasons and partly because he’s understandably keen to legalize a few million future Democratic voters, and he’s hoping the GOP will go along so that he doesn’t have to do something risky like an executive moratorium on deportations. The GOP leadership’s position is anything but straightforward. They’re convinced that they need to pass some sort of immigration bill before 2016 or else Latinos will hand the White House

Second, the Obama administration, clearly embarrassed by these lavish and frequent family vacations, stonewalls the release of records at every turn. Two white adults divided the toys, one equally and the other unequally. Seventy per cent of the toddlers chose to play with the researcher who distributed the toys fairly. But in a second test, when one researcher favoured a white recipient over an Asian one, they picked the ‘fair’ researcher less often, the journal Frontiers in Psychology reports. How do you ensure that you won’t be ostracized, denounced, or fired if you are a media celebrity, captain of industry, or high public official? For some, sexist banter is certainly no problem. Stand-up comedian Bill Maher called Sarah Palin a c–t and a tw-t, but suffered no ill consequences. David Letterman joked on air that Sarah Palin’s 14-year-old daughter had had sex with Alex Rodriguez during a New York Yankees game. There was no downside to that either.
