WSJ: Ted Cruz on Mission to ‘Make
Republicans Even More Unpopular’

Mediaite, by Noah Rothman

The Wall Street Journal editorial board published a tight and scathing criticism of Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) on Thursday after the freshman senator criticized Republicans who helped to pass a clean debt ceiling limit increase on Wednesday. The board criticized Cruz for lacking a strategy and for pursuing an ideological agenda that would result in negative consequences for his party. “The Senate passed the House debt-limit increase on Wednesday, but not before some needless drama that helps to explain why Republicans remain a minority,” the WSJ piece began. They went on to note that not passing a debt ceiling increase would likely

I´m really sick of the game playing by these elitist Republicans. Mark Levin was apoplectic over this hateful editorial by the WSJ. The sit in their ivory towers and don´t give a flip about the financial ruin we will experience if we don´t stop this out of control spending and continuously raising the debt ceiling. This country has never seen anything like it before and if everything crashes the Great Depression would probably look good by comparison.

US Chamber of Commerce water boys are squealing like stuck pigs when a ´blood and earth´ (their description and reference to the Blut and Boden - the precursor to the Nazi party) Senator Cruz makes the RINO Senators fess up that 3 months ago when they were telling him to give up the Filibuster focus to stop Obamacare - they would draw the line the debt limit fight - NOT.

He called them out on the lie to the voters right before the Republican primaries back home. Hope this tightens the race with Bevin running against McConnell in KY and David Stockman against ´big john´ Cornyn in Texas.

The GOP should be more unpopular. The Democrats should too.

But the topic was Cruz and the GOP. And he is doing exactly what he should do. Opposing a rotten gang which operates under two names.

The reality is that the Democrats control the Senate by 55 seats to the 45 seats Republicans control.
And then there´s the fact that the House is almost 50 % Democrat and then we have Obama.
Republicans are a minority in 2/3 of the government and a bare majority in the third.
Cruz acts like Republicans control everything and are just too darn liberal and stubborn to act.
Nothing he demands will see the light of day because of the Democrats.
Cruz hates the Republican Party and everyone associated with it. Everyone understands that .
What is inexplicable is why Cruz is so afraid to form
a third party with Sarah Palin, Mike Lee , Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin and the Tea Party ??
If his message and leadership is so popular , it should be a done deal.
Something doesn´t compute.
Trying to destroy the Republican Party is not a winning strategy.
Step up and show everyone your message and candidates.
Other wise , the WSJ is correct .
Cruz may as well join the Democrat Party , they´re both allied in destroying the Republican Party.

The dems control the senate, well the repubs are supposed to control the house. What is their excuse? Cruz is more main stream than the liberal repubs who voted for this out of control debt ceiling. The debt ceiling is never ending next year it will be 5 trillion $$$$. It has to stop some time. Why not now? The liberal repubs have lost their way, not Cruz, he´s found his way.

I realize you have to go along to get along in today´s party politics, which is why I find Ted Cruz so refreshing. He seems more interested in doing what is right, as he sees the right, than he does in making political friends in the party. Too bad the WSJ, which has the luxury if it chooses of promoting what´s right rather than what´s politically expedient, chooses politics over conscience.

When and if a third party is being formed, you RINOs will find out soon enough. The GOP establishment couldn´t have a worse name. I wouldn´t be worried about Cruz - he is doing extremely well.

Cruz is helping Texas and America. He made John Cornyn show he is on the side of Obama and Reid.

Texans now can get a real Republican conservative to replace Cornyn. That is not about starting a 3rd party. It is about making the Texas Republican Senators on our side and not on Obama and Reid´s side.

At least today the hater is not so vile in his accusations.

Dwayne Stovall (texansforstovall) and Steve Stockman are running in the primary for US Senator to replace Cornyn. Early voting starting on the 18th.

Wall Street is booming and the WSJ editorial board doesn´t care that we´re dying out here in flyover country. There is no spending cut that doesn´t result in cries of doom. Bye bye sequester.

The Rs want us to think that if they retake the Senate, then they will act responsibly, but they can´t be expected to do anything now. They are out of the majority, but they do have some little power, and they want to keep it. They promise to fight another day, another time, on another more important point. Rubbish!

There is absolutely no reason for Senator Cruz to attempt to form another party when the Republican Party is right there and available. Senator Cruz is trying to get the Party back on track and away from the mind-numbed democratic-light robots that are running it right now. The current "leaders" (really followers of Reid) are ignoring previous promises to attach debt reduction measures to the debt ceiling hike, to the detriment of We, The People.

And the WSJ group have lost their minds. The anti-American democrats in our Congress KNOW they can roll the republican leadership, and are doing it on a daily basis. We must replace the republican leadership, if we want to save our Nation.

I want Ted Cruz to focus on the Democrats and not the Republicans. There are Republicans that I really like and Ron Johnson is one of them. He has no problem being a Republican. We have a mix of people on the Republican side and I am fine with that. It gives the party balance. Look at what Obama is doing to the Democrat party and this country. Obama really thinks it is all about him and his ideas.

Sending scores of armed agents along with helicopters and dogs to confront an elderly Nevada rancher over grazing fees may seem like overkill, but critics say it’s not inconsistent with the federal government’s recent approach to environmental enforcement. The simmering truce between the Bundys and the Bureau of Land Management comes after high-profile raids last year by armed federal agents on small-time gold miners in tiny Chicken, Alaska, and guitar makers at the Gibson Guitar facilities in Tennessee. That doesn’t include more subtle threats, such as recent efforts by the Obama administration to raise grazing fees or pressure

But they might become citizens if Garcia and other immigration advocates get their way. Democrats are urging Republicans to sign their discharge petition, which would force a House vote on

Thank God for Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration J. Russell George. His investigation of what turned out to be the IRS abuse scandal may well have saved the Constitution and the nation. For his fair and impartial investigation into the Internal Revenue Service’s abuse of Americans who dissent from President Obama’s agenda, Democrats have called for an investigation of him. George should not be investigated, but perhaps the Democrats who want him investigated — Reps. Gerry Connolly (D-VA) and Matt Cartwright (D-PA) — should be. Two white adults divided the toys, one equally and the other unequally. Seventy per cent of the toddlers chose to play with the researcher who distributed the toys fairly. But in a second test, when one researcher favoured a white recipient over an Asian one, they picked the ‘fair’ researcher less often, the journal Frontiers in Psychology reports.
