Map Shows Dozens of U.S. Military
Ships Stationed In North Africa
Waters During Benghazi Attack

Government watchdog Judicial Watch has released an unclassified map showing the military fleet positions the night of the 9/11 Benghazi terror attack. The map shows dozens of military ships, including two aircraft carriers and 13 destroyers, were stationed in the North Africa Area of Responsibility when radical Islamic militants stormed the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, killing four Americans including U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens. Diplomatic Security agent David Ubben, a survivor of the attack, waited severely wounded on a roof with Navy SEALS Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty for 20 hours before help arrived. Woods and Doherty were killed

While this seems incredulous to US that there were so many major naval vessels that could have responded, but that 0bama & Hillary chose not to, and the Pentagon didn´t challenge this unlawful order, or lack of, should get Senator Cruz, Sarah Palin, or any politico ramped up to go after these criminals.

0bama, Hillary, Valerie Jarrett and the rest of the current White House ilk & dRATS party (Congress) need to be arrested, tried and convicted of high crimes & misdemeanors. These includes government officials in intelligence and the military (Pentagon). Eventually, we´ll get to the LSM, a willing participant in these cover-ups. Freedom of the Press should not allow for silence if it puts American citizens in harms way, something they seem to like to do with our military on the battlefield.

Dereliction of duty, purely and simply.

With all this info dripping out, it wouldn´t be surprising if there were spurned affections along the line, too.

How any military careers have been shortened or sullied as a result?

Winning campaign ad and bumper sticker slogan. Camera pans in on Obam and Herself at Andrews air force base viewing the bodies of the four dead Americans as they are carried from the plane. Voice over as well as a written caption says " They lied to America. They lied to the families. They lied to the caskets"

Well, well, well...this is an interesting revelation. Can someone subpoena Leon Panetta, Hillary Clinton, Barack Hussein Obama, and every general with any knowledge of what went on that night in situation room. It is time the truth was told. It appears our government is hiding the truth. The investigation needs subpoena power now. Responsibility is the price you pay for the decisions you make when you run things. Get them under oath and on the record now before the media has time to spin this revelation too.

#1, the only person obama cannot protect is himself. Count on all of your mentioned people getting blanket pardons as he exits the White House on January 21, 2017.

The good news is: The presidential pardon usually does not cover extraditions. Holder to Mexico, Hillary to Egypt, ValJar to Lybia.

All of the truth may not yet be exposed, but enough of it has been exposed to those who are powerful enough to bring about justice for them to act. It´s becoming apparent that those who can bring about justice will not. The question now is what can we as citizens and voters do about that.

Someone---it may have been Panetta, or some general---said, shortly after the attack, that planes would have had to fly all the way from some base in Italy, six or eight hours flying time! Wish I could remember the pertinent details.

Benghazi is a coverup of major proportions. Why were there so many ships so close by? Why could they not be revealed? What dark secret are they masking?

Seems like overkill for gun running. Was this in preparation for a Syria end around? Somehow the Benghazi rebellion threw a wrench in their nefarious thinking and they did not want it revealed.

Didn´t we feel this way during the two-for-one Clinton administration? So many lies, so little time. And then along came Monica, and down he went. The current WH resident should be distracted as much as possible until his term will thankfully be over. Journalists like Katie, Catherine Herridge, Jennifer Griffin, Laurie Dhue, Michelle Malkin, etc. need our prayers for protection and courage so they may keep telling the truth - however inconvenient that truth is.

And let us never forget how Libya got destabilized in the first place. The U.S. had a consistent Libya policy since the Nixon administration. It had finally worked. Khadafy, a mass murdering mad man, had been neutered and was even, at times, cooperative. For reasons that I still can´t understand, the Obama/Clinton foreign policy team, being led by the nose by the French government, overthrew Khadafy and turned the country over to those terrorists. (please do not annoy me with which branch of Al Qaeda they are a part of. on that score, I answer, "what difference does it make?")

Nope.........Sorry.

None of those ships could have or would have made a difference. Ships are not like police cars. You don’t just put the key in the ignition, turn over the engine and take off. Any ship in port takes several hours to just pull away from the pier. Ships are designed to fight aircraft, submarines and other ships. They can put ordinance on the ground in cases of shore bombardment if the objective is to blow stuff up. They can also launch missiles if they have coordinates for targeting. A destroyer can not take out a sniper on a roof unless the crew knows the coordinate of the roof and plans to drop the entire building.

Naval Air Stations Sigonella and Naples could have put F18’s in the air over Benghazi far quicker. But again, without a mission plan, you just don’t send out aircraft willy nilly.

The one and only reason why troops weren´t dispatched - - is because of the political need to pretend that Al Qaida had been destroyed.

The main element of the 0bama campaign was that he had killed Bin Laden and decimated Al Qaida. Any acknowledgment of an Al Qaida attack would have marginalized their election strategy.

Sure - - there may have been covert operations going on - - but that´s always the case. With 0bama and the Klintoons winning elections is the only thing that matters - - even if it means allowing the murders of brave Americans and the subsequent lies to their caskets.

According to the map, Eisenhower and Enterprise were in the Persian Gulf. Sending attack aircraft from there to Benghazi would have required flying across Saudi Arabia, Egypt and/or Sudan. That would have meant ruffling the feathers of states that support Islamist terrorism. No wonder it didn´t happen.

I imagine a few low flyovers by F-18´s would have done much to discourage the attackers and send them fleeing even without a mission plan.

I´ve suggested it before and it bears repeating. If Killary runs, we should greet her at EVERY campaign event with an unending chorus of, "Four dead in Benghazi! Four dead in Benghazi!" She´ll recognize the song from her radical student days and will loathe the fact that an anti-Nixon song is being used against her. Talk about karma!

There are so many problems with reigning in and holding these people accountable and punished...it is mind boggling.

First we have Prada news media, a huge problem, then the president in his first administration circumventing the Congess, distorting the facts, ignoring the law and then simply taking it to court, trembling over passed rulings, using his executive power like a drunken sailor, punishing his enemies, and lying to the people. Even then, he followed the laws to some degree.

His second term has many of the same traits the first one had but he has decided to ignore the rule of law completely. The Constitution is not a factor in any of his decisions. He does what he wants.

They will do every thing possible to steal this year elections. These are evil people and the states must be ready.

The numbers and locations of the ships as shown do little to change things. #17 and 20 are correct. The destroyers were not really that close and could have helped very little if they had been directly off shore. The original argument that land-based planes from Italy could have/should have helped is still valid. The position of Panetta and others that those planes wouldn´t have had time is stil bunk because nobody knew how long the attack would last.

Maybe, #17. The most serious failure (because it resulted in the murders and grievous injuries at Benghazi) is that there WERE NO contingency plans for protecting OUR embassy personnel BECAUSE there were known threats, 9/11 was around the corner, every other Western power had left Benghazi and environs.

This was an utter failure of State, Pentagon, AND ABOVE ALL, Commander-in-Chief.

...and where the heck was the CIC?

#17 offers the most coherent view of any tactical situation evolving from the map. None of the vessels in Bahrain would have been of any value even if they´d been anchored 1,000 yards off the coast of Libya. Even if we´d gotten permission from the Saudis to utilize their air space for a mission from the carriers there wouldn´t have been much a squadron of strike aircraft could have done for the guys on the ground, as what was going down in Benghazi that night was street fighting. Blame for failed mission lies 100% with State, which blew it from the outset when they didn´t plan the op (whatever it was) better and therefore had no options or contingencies plans when things went south.

They knew and left them to die, they posed with the coffins and then lied about it all.

While wholesale bombardment from naval vessels would have been of no use, Army Rangers parachuting in might have been an option.

Why have them if you won´t use them ?

Also a "Show of Force" with a half dozen fighters wide open at deck level is one of the most intimidating things you could ever experience.

We often use this tactic to safeguard small outposts in Asscrackistan who are under fire.

It´s WAY crazier than a flyover at a ball game.

Much as would like it if this was one more proof of the Obama failure to act during the Benghazi attack, this is not it. The only war ships that were nearer than Italy were destroyers. They can make big holes, but are not good for close fire support.

That said, it does not explain why it took hours before meeting with Obama and the only action taken was to invent a CYA story.

Forgive my unfamiliarity with the details of this scandal (which for me is mostly about the cavalier duplicity of the admin and the former Secretary of State); but some of this seems of questionable relevance.

What good does a fleet in the Persian Gulf represent for an embassy under direct attack in Libya? By the time even the fastest intercept jets could arrive, it would be only to assess the aftermath and guard the evidence.

For strengthening defenses against the threat of attack, reginal resources are relevant. For responding to reports of attack under-way, only resources within an hour or so of the embassy could be of much use.

The closest destroyer was the Laboon, in Crete, which might have made it to the waters off Benghazi in 12 hours. The carrier is much too far away to respond without aerial refueling, and aircraft on the ground in Italy were much closer. I´m afraid the retired USAF officer is overstating naval capability. We need to concentrate on what was achievable, not these fantasies.

Don´t fall for the arguments based on how long it actually took for our people to be killed or extracted. We had no way of knowing the timeline. Our failure to send help of any kind, regardless of the eventual postmortem, was a clear decision to let events play themselves out. Had we initiated a response we would have risked more visibility, made it harder to cover up for the election.

These days, I am reading what I consider an unbiased book on the whole Benghazi attack. I am not finished with the book, so more of my questions may be answered. Some already have been. Here are some that remain:

1. What was Hillary doing when the attack became known and where was she doing it? Where did she go and what did she do once she was notified?

2. Where was Obama when the attack became known? What was he doing? How did he respond immediately?

3. Why wasn´t more security provided to Ambassador Stevens and his people? Don´t tell me Congress hadn´t provided enough money or some nonsense like that. If you cannot provide appropriate security, you should not be there in the first place. Stevens was a diplomat, not a fighter.

4. Why did the Administration lie for two weeks -- perhaps longer -- that this event was the result of a low-budget film on YouTube? It was obvious to those involved on the ground this was an organized act of terror from the get-go.

5. Why is there no consequence to Obama and Hillary? Where is the justice? These rotten people lied -- either because they screwed up royally OR because they were doing something they knew was wrong -- OR both!

Find ANY of the MANY people who were by their sides, those many who can account for every minute they spent with these two non responsible hider/obfuscators.

With all the nearby ships, with all of our military might FIND many high and low ranking military that, at all times, knew wha was going on, and just knowingly, stood down. There are possibly hundreds of government employees deathly afraid to reveal what they know, what they can prove.

Where are the career, retirement, death defying heroes ?

Possibly Hillary is pondering a dilema.

1. Run and win POTUS so she can exert power to protect both her and her husband for treason and more ordinary crimes.

2. Don´t run, hope her absence in the media leads to everyone forgetting about what she and her spouse did to this country.

This is the first time in decades when the Clintons weren´t in an official position relying in taxpayers to pay their way. I would imagine the lack of official power it disconcerting to them. At this point methinks Obama has enough to lose that he´s protecting Hillary but that ought to end in 2016, unless he pulls a fast one.

I think Hillary´s health and age are in a fight with her ego and desire for self-preservation. I pray Chelsea gets pregnant and Hillary retires to grandmotherhood and hopes we show her the mercy of privacy.

#17 ~ I presume you were being sarcastic. Everybody knows every ship at sea with certain capability has a plan for using that capability ~

Still, I recall once being on an observation point along the heavily mined border between Czechoslovakia and West Germany with a rifle with 6 rounds and an M60 machinegun with no firing pin/firing mechanism.

Ordinarily there was no problem in that since nobody was shooting anybody then one morning the entire Red Army came down the road in front of our position ~ with tanks and such, and troops, and real machineguns with lots of bullets, etc.

It was 6 days before the USARER command got back to us with orders about what we might do to protect ourselves should AHBL on the border.

Being resourceful Infantrymen we took our jeeps and went to the otherside of the mountain!

I think the guys in the Nam referred to Dee Dee-ing out of there ~ and whatever it was it proved we had a built in battle plan that was specific and to the point.

An aircraft carrier has a variety of vehicles that can carry weapons. Something could have lifted off and gone toward Benghazi and lit up their lives.

It ain´t that hard.

Just do it.

I thought it was smart when Fox News promoted Megyn Kelly, an anchor with the singular ability to generate juicy cable news moments that appeal to the left and the right, to an evening slot. Ratings-wise, that seems to have been a good call for the network. But one of the things that makes Fox such a strong channel, purely from a business perspective, is its ability to develop new talent and new concepts. And the show the network dreamed up to replace Kelly’s in daytime has a flair of evil genius: In “Outnumbered,” a panel of women will debate

"I have one more thing to say very quickly," Chelsea Clinton said near the conclusion of the event. "I just want to thank all of you for being such an inspiration to us and to me in particular. Marc and I are very excited that we have our first child arriving later this year." "And I certainly feel all the better, whether it’s a

“We should be afraid of sharia law” in America, and Muslims here who want to practice sharia should go back to where they came from, “to those nations that recognize sharia law,” said Rev. Franklin Graham, head of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. In a recent interview with the Charlotte Observer, Graham was asked, “Some say you demonize Islam, and Christians in this country have opposed building a mosque or are worried about Sharia law. Isn’t it –” Graham, who oversees the international Christian aid group Samaritan’s Purse, said, “We should be afraid of Sharia law. We should be absolutely

The number of Americans who signed up for private insurance in the marketplace has grown to 8 million, President Barack Obama said Thursday during a rare appearance at the daily White House news conference, where he talked about the Affordable Care Act. About 35% of the people of those who have signed up through the federal marketplace are younger than 35, he added.

Yesterday was a significant day in the IRS abuse scandal. The scandal evolved from being about pesky delays in IRS exemption applications to a government conniving with outside interests to put political opponents in prison. Emails obtained by Judicial Watch through the Freedom of Information Act reveal Lois Lerner cooking up plans with Justice Department officials to talk about ways to criminally charge conservative groups that are insufficiently quiet. Larry Noble, a law professor now with the Soros-funded Campaign Legal Center, was cited in the emails as someone agitating to jail conservatives who “falsely” report on IRS forms that they

Clemson accused of trying to integrate religion and football Coach Dabo Swinney and his Clemson football program face a blitz again. This time it´s not South Carolina´s Jadeveon Clowney seeking to slam their quarterback into the turf, or even a lighthearted sound-byte from Gamecocks coach Steve Spurrier aiming to bringing them down a notch. Instead, it´s an oddly dour out-of-state assault in the form of a complaint filed against the football program by the Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF), an atheist rights group from Wisconsin. The FFRF claims that Swinney´s program is "entangled" and "entrenched" in religion. Prayers and Bible studies instituted

JAY CARNEY: I remember we had some discussion during 2012 about well, is it appropriate for the president, the sitting president and candidate, to give interviews with Jon Stewart and others. And the answer was yes, again because the young voters we were trying to reach are more likely to watch The Daily Show than some other news shows. But also, I think if you look back at 2012 and the series of interviews the sitting president of the United States gave, probably the toughest interview he had was with Jon Stewart. Probably the most substantive, challenging interview Barack Obama

Facebook is unveiling a new service to let users know when a friend is close by. The company said it had consulted with privacy advocates in government ahead of Thursday´s launch, but the service nonetheless invites criticism from privacy advocates who have worried about the amount of information the social network captures about its users. People will have to opt in to the new Nearby Friends feature, and Facebook is forcing users to affirmatively choose if they want to share details about their movements. Nothing will change for users who don’t assertively turn it on, Facebook said. Jules Polonetsky, executive director of the

GENEVA – Top diplomats from the United States, European Union, Russia and Ukraine reached agreement after marathon talks Thursday on immediate steps to ease the crisis in Ukraine. The tentative agreement puts on hold -- for now at least -- additional economic sanctions the West had prepared to impose on Russia if the talks were fruitless. And that will ease international pressure both on Moscow and nervous European Union nations that depend on Russia for their energy. U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry called the deal the result of a "good day´s work" but emphasized that the words on paper

For several months now, whenever the topic of enrollment in the Affordable Care Act came up, I’ve been saying that it was too soon to tell its ultimate effects. We don’t know how many people have paid for their new insurance policies, or how many of those who bought policies were previously uninsured. For that, I said, we will have to wait for Census Bureau data, which offer the best assessment of the insurance status of the whole population. Other surveys are available, but the samples are smaller, so they’re not as good; the census is the gold standard. Unfortunately,

Like him or hate him, there is no disputing that Rush Limbaugh’s very special brand of mixing right-wing politics with his flare for entertainment has produced one of the most successful radio programs in the medium’s long history. Whatever the burning political question of the day, millions of Americans have relished the opportunity to tune into Rush’s program, knowing that he would quickly take that hot potato, throw a few gallons of verbal kerosene into the mix and elevate the matter into a five alarm fire with a just a few well-chosen words spoken in the style only Rush Limbaugh could

Casual marijuana use may come with some not-so-casual side effects. For the first time ever, researchers at Northwestern University have analyzed the relationship between casual use of marijuana and brain changes – and found that young adults who used cannabis just once or twice a week showed significant abnormalities in two important brain structures. The study’s findings, to be published Wednesday in the Journal of Neuroscience, are similar to those of past research linking chronic, long-term marijuana use with mental illness and changes in brain development. Dr. Hans Breiter, co-senior study author, said he was inspired to look at the effects of casual

People love that Scottish brogue so much, they don’t mind that he has it when he plays Juan Sánchez Villa-Lobos Ramírez, an immortal Spaniard in Highlander. The guy even won an Oscar for playing an Irish cop with a Scottish accent. Talk about sexist double standards: Meryl Streep has to master foreign dialects to get her golden statuettes. Connery just has to show up on time. In economics you devalue a currency by printing too much of it. In film you

When it comes to tracking the cost of Obama family vacations, there are two primary challenges. First, the Obamas are prolific jet-setters, so there are many details to track. Second, the Obama administration, clearly embarrassed by these lavish and frequent family vacations, stonewalls the release of records at every turn. But we have been relentless in pursuit of this information. Our attorneys file the lawsuits and make our case, and our investigators pour through pages of records and crunch the numbers. And the information we’ve uncovered – information that would otherwise remain under lock and key – shows that the

Toddlers show racial bias when picking playmates, a study reveals. They also take account of how fairly others behave. Researchers tested the reaction of white 15-month-olds as toys were distributed. Two white adults divided the toys, one equally and the other unequally. Seventy per cent of the toddlers chose to play with the researcher who distributed the toys fairly. But in a second test, when one researcher favoured a white recipient over an Asian one, they picked the ‘fair’ researcher less often, the journal Frontiers in Psychology reports. And the babies are more likely to help those who share the same ethnicity, which is known as

I live in Las Vegas. I live and breath Nevada politics. Something is very wrong. Something smells rotten in the Nevada desert. And Senator Harry Reid’s fingerprints are all over it. I am of course referring to the Bundy Ranch siege. This was a dispute between a Nevada ranching family with rights to the land in question for 140 years and the BLM (Bureayu of Land Management). The government claims they haven’t paid grazing fees for 20 years. The result was a government assault on the ranch- including snipers with assault rifles, SUV’s, helicopters, airplanes and over 200 heavily armed troops. No

In an open letter to President Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry, Carter and the nine other Nobel Peace Prize winners bluntly warned the leaders: “Your decision on the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline will define your climate legacy.” The missive, published as an advertisement in Politico, represents the first time Carter has taken a position on the $5.4 billion project and makes him the first former president to come

Western Washington University sent a questionnaire to students asking them for advice on how the administration could succeed at making sure that in future years, “we are not as white as we are today.” The question notes that WWU’s racial make up does not perfectly reflect the nation at large, and asks students to consider strategies that other universities have used to focus on skin color as the paramount indicator of a student-applicant’s worth. The president of WWU has stated that his explicit goal is to reduce the white population on campus, according to Campus Reform. “I’ve said before and I’ll say it

How do you ensure that you won’t be ostracized, denounced, or fired if you are a media celebrity, captain of industry, or high public official? For some, sexist banter is certainly no problem. Stand-up comedian Bill Maher called Sarah Palin a c–t and a tw-t, but suffered no ill consequences. David Letterman joked on air that Sarah Palin’s 14-year-old daughter had had sex with Alex Rodriguez during a New York Yankees game. There was no downside to that either. President Obama tosses around “sweetie” as he wishes. No problem with that. No one believes Barack could be condescending to women.

With Easter soon approaching, the Rev. Al Sharpton on Wednesday drew parallels between the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the resurrection of President Obama’s political career. Joining the “Tom Joyner Morning Show,” Mr. Sharpton said that his message for this Easter is that “no matter what the world may do to you unfairly, no matter how you’re crucified — nailed to the cross at home, or in your personal relationships, or on the job — that you can rise if you don’t lose yourself during the hard times and the challenges.” The reverend went on to say that Christ endured so much humiliation and unearned suffering leading up to his death,
