Bloomberg Writer Calls IRS Targeting

Breitbart´s Big Journalism, by Warner Todd Huston

While penning praise of Obama´s White House Chief of Staff, liberal columnist Albert R. Hunt of Bloomberg also took a moment to call the IRS harassment of conservatives a "faux scandal." Hunt´s op-ed is filled with wide-eyed praise of Obama´s Chief of Staff, Denis McDonough, calling him "skilled" and "efficient." McDonough is a "high-energy" guy praised by both Republicans and Democrats, Hunt is pleased to say. Along with the effusive praise, Hunt also added a sentence taking a shot at those who feel that Obama and his IRS have abused their power to harass conservative groups in hopes that they would give

The problem with those pundits who are comfortably ensconced in the liberal milieu is that they never pay a price for disseminating propaganda on a daily basis. In a free society it is imperative that we allow all points of view. How ironic that the people whom Hunt defends themselves seek to limit the freedom of others. Remember the "Truth Squads" that Obama dispatched when criticism started coming too close to home? How is the stifling by Obama via the IRS, of those who seek to express their freedom, any different? SO, Hunt defends, via his freedom of the press, a regime which actively seeks to abridge the freedom of others.

Quinn Campaign Wonders: Black

Washington Free Beacon, by Adam Kredo     Original Article

Illinois Democratic Gov. Pat Quinn is in some hot water with the Jewish community after his campaign tweeted—and then quietly deleted—several messages urging backers to read an article comparing black Republican voters to Jews who collaborated with the Nazis. Chicago Sun Times readers were stunned last week to find that writer Neil Steinberg has penned a column comparing black supporters of Republican gubernatorial candidate Bruce Rauner to Jews who collaborated with the Nazis against their brethren. “As a general rule, individuals will sell out the interests of their groups in return for personal benefit,” Steinberg wrote in his column, which claimed that

Ted Cruz weighed in on the Cliven Bundy situation with Texas radio host Chad Hasty Tuesday, and he called the standoff between Bundy supporters (some armed) and federal agents a tragic situation, but one that was the “culmination” of how President Obama has been pushing for a bigger and more intrusive federal government. Cruz said that since Obama took over, “we have seen our liberty under assault” from a government “hell-bent on expanding its authority over every aspect of our lives.” He went after Obama for eroding the nation’s constitutional liberties and not understanding the point of the federal government is to

In a case about a pregnant woman who used cocaine and endangered her unborn child, the Alabama Supreme Court affirmed (8-1) that the word “child” includes “an unborn child,” and that the law therefore “furthers the State’s interest in protecting the life of children from the earliest stages of their development.” In his concurring opinion, Alabama Chief Justice Roy S. Moore wrote that “an unborn child has an inalienable right to life from its earliest stages of development,” and added, “I write separately to emphasize that the inalienable right to life is a gift of God that civil government must secure

Rep. Sam Johnson (R-Texas) on Wednesday said he plans to introduce a bill to prevent Internal Revenue Service employees who are delinquent on their taxes from receiving bonuses. A report this week from the Treasury Department inspector general for tax administration found that the IRS had given more than $2.8 million in bonuses and other rewards to workers who had been cited for various types of misconduct, including a failure to pay their taxes. A Johnson aide said the congressman’s bill would prohibit the IRS from giving bonuses to employees who owe back taxes that are not caused by willful

Attorney General Eric Holder on Wednesday called Justice Sonia Sotomayor’s dissent in the Supreme Court’s latest affirmative action ruling “courageous.” At an event on diversity within the Justice Department, Holder said it’s tempting to think the struggle to overcome discrimination has ended when people like him or President Obama have reached the nation’s highest ranks. But, he said, the fight for equal rights is not over. "[This] great country still has a ways to go before our founding promise of equal justice and equal opportunity is fully realized,” he said. So long, Ohio. According to a federal judge Monday in Henry v. Himes, the U.S. Constitution now requires that the laws of one state automatically supersede those of Ohio, whether or not Ohio approves. The circumstances surround same-sex marriage, though the precise legal issue is one that has been flying below the radar for some time – the recognition by one state of another state’s same-sex marriage. In the case, several same-sex couples with marriage licenses from California, Massachusetts, and New York sought recognition of their relationships in their home state of Ohio, where marriage is defined as between only one

The Obama administration is poised to entertain a flood of new clemency applications from thousands of federal prisoners who were given harsh sentences under mandatory-minimum laws following drug convictions, Attorney General Eric Holder said Monday. Holder said in a short videotaped statement that he wants to shrink the federal prison population by a modest amount while ensuring ´that those who have paid their debts have a chance to become productive citizens.´ At the center of the move is a set of old sentencing rules that punished crack-cocaine offenders with more time behind bars than users or traffickers of powder cocaine.

If Jeb reaches for the nomination, there will be a titanic battle between the party establishment and the Tea Party. Steve Schmidt, McCain’s strategist in 2008, insists that in the end Republicans usually settle on the most electable candidate. To get by, this Bush may be forced to trim his positions, although the cautionary tale of Romney suggests that he would have to tack artfully and carefully for the sake of the general election. Certainly he will have the resources to outlast, discredit, and disqualify his rivals.

Washington - Michelle Obama said "splurging is the key to life" if you regularly eat right and stay active. Her biggest guilty pleasure: French fries. "How would you appreciate vegetables if you never had chocolate?" she asked. "You couldn´t live without a little chocolate, a little French fries." The first lady took questions from children reporters Monday after appearing at the White House Easter Egg Roll. She told the children that if they eat right the majority of the time, then a splurge or snack is not going to hurt them. "I still splurge when I can, but that's why I try to exercise almost every day," she said.

There’s a pattern of falsifying statistics throughout the entire Census Bureau. And anyone who attempts to blow the whistle on the fraud is either retaliated against or ignored, according to two new sources who have experienced the process firsthand. As I’ve been writing for more than six months, the Census Bureau office in Philadelphia uncovered a case of fraud in 2010, did nothing about it and allowed the practice to continue. In that instance, a data collector named Julius Buckmon was faking reports that went into the nation’s all-important jobless tally and consumer-inflation survey. Because the Census Bureau’s surveys are scientific — meaning
