Stronger Pacific winds explain
global warming hiatus: study

LONDON - Stronger winds which have cooled the surface of the Pacific Ocean could explain what is likely to be a temporary slowdown in the pace of global warming this century, researchers said. Last year, scientists on the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) said the pace of temperature rise at the Earth´s surface had slowed over the past 15 years, even though greenhouse gas emissions, widely blamed for causing climate change, have risen steadily. (Snip) "This hiatus could persist for much of the present decade if the trade winds trends continue, however, rapid warming is expected to resume once

How come the computer models did not take the winds into account?

Heck, we see that every day in Washington,D.C. In some cases we hear it as well (and it stinks!).

Of course, we all know that this is a lame BS excuse by the Warmists to explain why the world didn´t overheat and everybody die in 2013.
But let´s say they are right, and the Pacific winds tempered the heat gain. Then that would say that earth has autofeedback systems in place to counter the doomsday scenarios of these idiots.
Either way, they are frauds and fools.

An article at American Thinker today notes that the 0bama administration is allowing ocean sensors, surface stations and satellites to fail and not be replaced. Could it be that these sensors show no warming and thus render the AGW theories useless? Back in the 1990´s, many surface stations in remote areas were abandoned when they did not show the expected warming.

As our Dear Leader said, decisions should be science based. Building a model proves nothing. Science is a process and models are only one of the beginning steps. If the warmth of the whole planet is being held in the deep pacific, it should be easy to find and measure. Until this kind of hard research is done this speculation is worthless.

Remember the great model that demonstrated melting glaciers? REAL scientists measured and found they were dead wrong.

Oh, has anyone actually measured the winds to prove that first piece is in place? Probably not. They probably heard someone say "It´s been windier than normal the last decade." Yeah, right.

I guess some idiots on the left figured out that global warming isn´t flying because everywhere you look has ice, snow and frigid temps. So they come up with this lame excuse to cover it up.At the same time they´re admitting that greenhouse gases aren´t the real culprit,it´s just good ole wind.

Next time you talk to a global warmist, ask them: if greenhouse gas limits had been put in place in 1998, would they be credited for the current cooling trend?

Thank God the deniers held out, or GW would be firmly esconced as immutable fact.

The key to it all is measurement. The truth will become apparent if that is done patiently and honestly. Technology makes it possible.

And there is the rub. No private individual or groups have the resources for such an effort. And governments, right up to and including the UN, have the resources but no reason to be honest if the numbers do not promote an absolute state.

Climate change has been occurring continuously for millions of years. The two biggest factors in that change has been that great big bright light in the sky and the Earth´s internal temperatures.
Since the Earth has undergone several cycles of ice ages, wouldn´t that be explained only by the heat from sunlight being lesser?
Wouldn´t the end of the ice ages be explained by the heat from sunlight being increased?

Those "stronger winds" contain the usual "hot-air" that we now expect from the IPCC and the Stepford scientists who support them ... when was their last computer model that successfully predicted reality? ... at this point we can no longer tell the difference between those "winds" and the usual flatulence emanating from the UN-Cadre-of-DOOM.

When there are winds that are counterclockwise to the hyperbolic vortex - - it results in a temperature phase which is oblique to the nearest polar vector. Once the phenomenon has calcified - - a longitudinal parabola becomes dominant and thereafter - - oh. wow! - - look! - - a squirrel! Really! Really! A squirrel!

Hank Aaron’s recent comments about the need for America to realize that racism is still very much alive and thriving — only now due to those who wear “neckties and starched shirts” rather than KKK hoods — has sparked an angry backlash and many fans are turning the tables, calling the baseball legend himself a racist. “Hank Aaron is a s*****g piece of [expletive] [racial slur],” one man said in an email to the Atlanta Braves’ front office, one of the teams Mr. Aaron used to play for, CBS News reported. “My old man instilled in my mind from a

Western Washington University sent a questionnaire to students asking them for advice on how the administration could succeed at making sure that in future years, “we are not as white as we are today.” The question notes that WWU’s racial make up does not perfectly reflect the nation at large, and asks students to consider strategies that other universities have used to focus on skin color as the paramount indicator of a student-applicant’s worth. The president of WWU has stated that his explicit goal is to reduce the white population on campus, according to Campus Reform. “I’ve said before and I’ll say it

How do you ensure that you won’t be ostracized, denounced, or fired if you are a media celebrity, captain of industry, or high public official? For some, sexist banter is certainly no problem. Stand-up comedian Bill Maher called Sarah Palin a c–t and a tw-t, but suffered no ill consequences. David Letterman joked on air that Sarah Palin’s 14-year-old daughter had had sex with Alex Rodriguez during a New York Yankees game. There was no downside to that either. President Obama tosses around “sweetie” as he wishes. No problem with that. No one believes Barack could be condescending to women.

WASHINGTON — Former President Jimmy Carter joined fellow Nobel laureates Wednesday in opposing Keystone XL, insisting that approving the pipeline would trigger “more climate upheaval” around the globe. In an open letter to President Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry, Carter and the nine other Nobel Peace Prize winners bluntly warned the leaders: “Your decision on the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline will define your climate legacy.” The missive, published as an advertisement in Politico, represents the first time Carter has taken a position on the $5.4 billion project and makes him the first former president to come

When President Obama needed a preacher to fulfill the closing prayer duties at the annual White House Easter Prayer Breakfast, he turned to none other than the Episcopal Church’s first openly gay bishop — who said he was as shocked as anyone at the appointment. The Right Rev. Gene Robinson said in a tweet, accompanied by a photo of Mr. Obama behind a podium at the event: “POTUS ‘preaches’ at the Easter prayer breakfast. Then, out of the blue, asks ME to close with prayer. OMG!” Newsmax said he also emphasized that the words he chose to close the breakfast

With Easter soon approaching, the Rev. Al Sharpton on Wednesday drew parallels between the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the resurrection of President Obama’s political career. Joining the “Tom Joyner Morning Show,” Mr. Sharpton said that his message for this Easter is that “no matter what the world may do to you unfairly, no matter how you’re crucified — nailed to the cross at home, or in your personal relationships, or on the job — that you can rise if you don’t lose yourself during the hard times and the challenges.” The reverend went on to say that Christ endured so much humiliation and unearned suffering leading up to his death,

FORT WORTH — Democratic gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis will undergo neck surgery today, her campaign said Tuesday. “After experiencing shoulder and right arm pain in recent weeks, Sen. Davis will have a routine surgical procedure to remove bone spurs and degenerative discs that are creating compression on the nerves in her neck,” campaign spokesman Zac Petkanas said in a statement Tuesday. “This is a common issue experienced by runners and endurance athletes,” he said. Davis, of Fort Worth, will undergo the outpatient surgery at the Fort Worth Brain and Spine Institute. Dr. Thomas Ellis will perform the
