America’s Latest Heroine Fights Back
Power Line, by John Hinderaker

Original Article

We wrote here about the then-upcoming hearing on the Obama administration’s IRS scandal before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. One of the witnesses at that hearing was Catherine Engelbrecht; she was a sensation. She introduced herself to the committee: Good morning Mr. Chairman and Members of the Committee. My name is Catherine Engelbrecht. I am the Chairwoman of True the Vote, a nonprofit election integrity organization; the Founder of King Street Patriots, a citizen-led liberty group; and President of Engelbrecht Manufacturing. (snip) Ms. Engelbrecht detailed what has happened to her since

Rest assured: We are all Ms. Engelbrecht

How long before the Dem/Leftists unleash the Hounds of Hell on her?

We need a plan to counteract those tactics. ASAP.

If Sarah Palin were a shrinking violet, she would have faded away under the relentless attacks.

Every Conservative encounters this; but the Left is particularly vicious to women! and Blacks and other minorities who dare to wander off the Leftist plantation.

Wars are not won by playing defense only.

No, we shall not yield to the take over of our country by a bunch of individuals who want to turn over 200 years plus of freedom.

I am very proud to have watched it, and suggest that those who haven´t seen it, watch it.
I pray that her attack on the idiot Cummings is but the first, and that this puppet for the communists is laughed out of office.

Bless Ms. Engelbrecht! She´s a tigress, and this nation could always use a few more of those. Hinderaker concludes his piece with this statement:

The more we learn about the rot and corruption in the Obama administration, the deeper it goes. Obama’s misuse of federal agencies to target and intimidate citizens who disagree with him politically is the worst abuse of executive power in my lifetime, by a wide margin.

Nixon´s resignation in August 1974 put paid to one of the Articles of Impeachment, which involved the Administration´s misuse of the Internal Revenue Service to harrass political opponents. The Obama Administration´s misuse of the IRS, the BATFE, the FBI, OSAA, and God knows how many agencies is orders of magnitude worse than anything Nixon ever did. If there were any justice, Obama and various others of his political associates would be in prison for rank corruption.

The bad news is this will also be sweep under the rug ignored or drug out until they can say we have had numerous hearings on this and found nothing(of course you don´t find anything that you refuse to look for.) Deserts always feel like my natural habitat, and I am very fond of them. That being said, I have, for my sins, spent a fair amount of time in Clark County, Nev., and it is not the loveliest stretch of desert in these United States, or even in the top twelve. Protecting the pristine beauty of the sun-baked and dust-caked outskirts of Las Vegas and its charismatic fauna from grazing cattle — which the Bureau of Land Management seems to regard as an Old Testament plague — seems to me to be something less than a critical national priority. Washington- Sen. Ted Cruz said Attorney General Eric Holder should be impeached if he doesn’t indict former Internal Revenue Service official Lois Lerner, who is linked to the agency’s targeting of conservative groups. Speaking on Sean Hannity’s radio program Thursday, the Texas Republican labeled Holder the “most partisan attorney general the country has ever had,” and added that Holder should be impeached for “defying Congress and the rule of law.” Cruz cited the attorney general’s refusal to indict anyone in the months since the inspector general found that conservative and Tea Party groups were singled out for tax purposes. Armed Rangers were brought in from out of state by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) to assist in security surrounding the Bundy Ranch, according to the family. A heated confrontation on Wednesday resulted in Cliven Bundy’s son Ammon being tasered by BLM officials and a 57-year-old protester being shoved to the ground. Stetsy Bundy Cox, Cliven’s daughter, told the Washington Free Beacon that some of the rangers had Oregon and California license plates. “You know, some of these guys don’t even know why they’re here,” she said. “A few people have talked to them and they got called in

Before conservative policy wonks can win any policy victories, they’ll need to overhaul the Republican Party. For an idea of what that might look like and the challenges any transformation will entail, they should look to one of the party’s wonkiest politicians, Louisiana Republican Gov. Bobby Jindal. Last week, as President Obama touted the 7.1 million private plan sign-ups in Obamacare’s first open enrollment period, Jindal gave the world a glimpse at what the outlines of a Republican alternative might look like. Not only would the plan repeal Obamacare; it would, among other things, overhaul the tax code to remove

Ayaan Hirsi Ali is a Power Line hero for reasons that will become clear below. Brandeis University was set to give her an honorary degree at this year’s commencement exercises. Iowa Democratic Rep. Bruce Braley is still taking flak for his recent put-down of Sen. Chuck Grassley. That´s all wrong. Give the trial lawyer a medal for alerting the electorate to a big—if overlooked—issue in this year´s midterm: legal reform. Mr. Braley, as part of his bid to replace retiring Sen. Tom Harkin, found himself at a fundraiser full of Texas trial attorneys. He scornfully warned that a GOP Senate would put the Judiciary Committee in the hands of "a farmer from Iowa [Mr. Grassley] who never went to law school."

Ted Cruz is not on the March 4 primary ballot. But his likeness is all over TV and in campaign materials, as a slew of Republican candidates on the primary ballot are using his words and — in rare occasions — his endorsement to reach out to voters. This year, having Cruz weigh in any way possible “is political gold,” said Mark P. Jones, a political science professor at Rice University in Houston. His thumbs up for a candidate serves “as a signal to Cruz’s plethora of supporters within the GOP primary electorate who the ‘true’ movement conservative in the in the race is,” he said. Although the Civil Rights Act, the landmark legislation which just reached its 50th anniversary, made great strides in desegregating the economy, economic discrimination is still widespread, and anti-discrimination legislation alone can never rectify the economic damage inflicted upon blacks by slavery and our Jim Crow apartheid regime. The Civil Rights Act was a mild reform, all things considered, but one conservatives fought with vigor and one many conservatives are still bitter about to this day. When the Civil Rights Act passed in 1964, the primary purpose was to root out discrimination in public accommodations (like hotels and movie theaters)

Two white adults divided the toys, one equally and the other unequally. Seventy per cent of the toddlers chose to play with the researcher who distributed the toys fairly. But in a second test, when one researcher favoured a white recipient over an Asian one, they picked the ‘fair’ researcher less often, the journal Frontiers in Psychology reports.
