President Obama explains to
Bob Costas why he didn´t attend
the Sochi Olympics

Yahoo!Sports, by Mike Oz

Original Article

Posted By:JoniTx, 2/8/2014 4:13:05 AM

President Barack Obama went one-on-one with NBC Sports anchor Bob Costas in an interview before the Winter Olympics opening ceremony aired for the primetime audience in the U.S. Obama — a tired-looking Obama, we should add — talked to Costas from the White House, not from Sochi (the interview was recorded Thursday). Costas addressed that in his first question to the president. Why didn´t he attend the Olympics? And why didn´t the vice president, the first lady or any other high-ranking members of the president´s cabinet? Obama´s response: Unfortunately, I haven´t had a chance to go to the Olympics since

Obama does not want to see any Americans win a gold medal because then he would have to hear the national anthem, which he despises of course.

I was shocked at his rambling, no responsive answers - especially because I am certain he had the questions in advance! And to think he´ll be getting a couple a hundred thousand bucks to give speeches once he leaves the White House. What a country!!

Originally he and Biden weren´t going to attend, and a weak delegation was appointed, as a way of protesting the gay issue. I notice he didn´t mention that now. Must have done some polling or something. Also, glad to hear that Biden and his wife "have got pretty busy schedules themselves." Wasn´t aware of that!

He didn´t go because he wouldn´t be the center of attention.

He didn´t go because the international media would not fawn all over him.

He didn´t go because he would have to pretend to be proud of American contestants who EARNED the right to be there.

Anyone who has dealt with it, can look at the "president´s" eyes and know exactly why he looked "tired" and was "rambling" in the interview with the obnoxious costas. He seems detached from "reality" because he WAS and IS.

Obie still has his panties in a bunch because Putie took in Snowden. So Obie thinks that by cutting off his own nose to spite his own face is how to get into Putie´s head. Who was the chick sitting next to Putie last night at the Olympic opening ceremony?

Understandable he didn´t want a Motel 6.
He could have slept in Air Force One, out on the tarmac. Best accommodations anybody could ask for.

I was so excited about the Olympics ramping back up, had the guide programmed for the opening ceremonies last night, but then right off the bat NBC had to go and spoil it all by imposing upon us with an interview with Odumbdumb. I switched over to Greta. Why oh why do they insist on assaulting us with his unwanted presence?

Obama was clearly wasted. Who knows, perhaps it was a feeble, but failed attempt to demonstrate disregard for Putin for snatching the world spotlight from him for the next few weeks.
And how about the answer Obama gave Costas about his personal relationship with Putin? "He respects ME..." but nothing about MUTUAL respect, this from the man who makes it his business to bow and scrape at every opportunity.
Sending an in-your-face Rainbow Delegation led by Janet Napolitano is another childish jab at Putin---from our President who wants us to know at every turn that we must respect ALL cultural differences, whether or not we agree with them. Had this been Dubai instead of Sochi, would he have sent his gay contingency as well?
I personally find the Kremlin´s march toward morality refreshing and couldn´t help comparing last night´s dignified and beautiful Opening Ceremony with the SuperBowl´s chaotic, frenzied Halftime Show of tattooed, pierced and probably drugged so-called performers.
Sigh.

Obama is a stoned slacker, low IQ, self centered idiot. He didn´t want´t to be on the same continent as Putin. He´s probably still grounded for the ´selfies´ he took with the blonde. Michelle knows he would do it again at the Olimpiks when he would see himself on the Jumbotraum.

Now, now, let´s not be too harsh on el presidente. He is a great supporter of athletics. Like golf. Or like basketball. Or like . . . well, anything that enables him to stay out of the oval office and take responsibility for the country. On the other hand, when he´s on the back nine he has less opportunity to do damage (unless you´re one of our ambassadors in the middle east).

As far as going to the Olympics; Obama knows he would be on Putin´s turf and knows Putin would upstage him every chance he got. Obama and Putin hate each other and Obama would rather stay home and lie to his constituents and pat himself on the back than be made of fool of by a real leader (even though Putin is also evil).

A man was charged with attempted murder and aggravated battery in a Friday shooting that left a 40-year-old man in the Brainerd neighborhood with six gunshot wounds. Deontae C. Jones, 18, was held on $1 million bail after appearing in Cook County bond court Sunday afternoon. Prosecutors said Jones approached a man who was outside his residence on the 9300 block of S. May St., checking to see if his recycling bin was full when Jones approached the man and fired at him. The victim began running away and fell to the ground, said Cook County Assistant State’s Attorney Naheda

The first family attended Easter services Sunday at the Nineteenth Street Baptist Church, a Northwest Washington congregation that welcomed the Obamas on the eve of the president’s first inauguration. The Obamas’ motorcade left the White House shortly before 10 a.m. (Snip) The motorcade pulled up to the church, about four miles away, just after 10. The first family arrived through a tented entrance and sat in the second pew in a mostly, but not completely filled church, joining an estimated 250 others. The president wore a light khaki suit. The first lady was wearing a cream dress and sweater. Daughters

(He would later learn that it was a delicate subject at the Vatican.) A doctor, he has a curious mind. A mind shaped by logic and by science. The premature presidential polls have started rolling out and are consistent: The race for the White House is as much a fantasy as “Game of Thrones” — filled with as many off-the-mark, off-their-rocker relatives and pretender-contenders to the throne as any “Song of Ice and Fire": REPUBLICANS -Jeb Bush, Son of George the First, brother of George the Second -The Good: Last-name recognition - The Bad: Last-name recognition: Brother Bush’s illegal war and the collapse of the economy. WASHINGTON — IT’S weird to be jealous of your car. But I am. Men look at my car with such naked lust, their eyes devouring the curves and chrome, that I often feel as though I’m intruding on an intimate moment. Women like it, too. They sometimes grin and give it a thumbs up as it growls by, and one girlfriend fondly refers to it as “the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Goddess car.” But the icon evokes a special feeling in men. It’s the Proustian madeleine of cars, stirring old dreams and new. Guys sometimes follow in the American beauty’s

California Unemployment Holds

California’s unemployment rate is rotten and holding steady. In March, according to the Los Angeles Times, the rate was 8.1%. In February, it was exactly the same. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that the state only added 11,800 net new jobs in March, many of them in construction, government, education, and health services. The greatest gains were in professional and business services, with 3,100 new positions. But the jobs numbers in hospitality, manufacturing, and leisure dipped, and the biggest drop came in financial activities, as the slowing rate of mortgages forced banks to fire employees. The field of finance

On Easter weekend, Diogo Morgado portraying Jesus Christ is on screens everywhere. Morgado is the star of Son of God, by executive producers Mark Burnett and wife Roma Downey, which continues to thrive in theaters, pulling in $59 million since its debut Feb. 28. Downey believes there will be a "spike" in attendance at theaters this weekend because of the spiritual holiday for a film that has already proved a box-office force. "People are in that head-space and in that heart-space. It´s that time of the year where people are much more reflective and much more open to connecting with

SCARBOROUGH, Maine- John C. Houbolt, an engineer whose contributions to the U.S. space program were vital to NASA´s successful moon landing in 1969, has died. He was 95. Houbolt died Tuesday at a nursing home in Scarborough, Maine, of complications from Parkinson´s disease, his son-in-law Tucker Withington, of Plymouth, Mass., confirmed Saturday. As NASA describes on its website, while under pressure during the U.S.-Soviet space race, Houbolt was the catalyst in securing U.S. commitment to the science and engineering theory that eventually carried the Apollo crew to the moon and back safely. His efforts in the early 1960s are largely

Democrats seek to reshape midterm

Democrats have a problem and everyone knows it. President Obama calls it a “congenital disease.” If they can’t control it, Obama could spend the final years of his presidency battling not only a Republican House but also a Republican Senate. Democrats don’t vote in midterm elections. That’s an exaggeration, of course, but the core of the Democratic coalition is made up of many people who turn out to vote only in presidential elections. The Republican coalition — older and whiter — suffers less from midterm falloff. So much has been made of the building blocks the president assembled to win his

Once the province of activists and stoners, the traditional pot holiday of April 20 has gone mainstream in the first state in the nation to legalize recreational marijuana. Tens of thousands gathered for a weekend of Colorado cannabis-themed festivals and entertainment, from a marijuana industry expo called the Cannabis Cup at a trade center north of downtown, to 4/20-themed concerts at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheater — acts include Slightly Stoopid and Snoop Dog — to a massive festival in the shadow of the state capitol where clouds of cannabis smoke are expected to waft at 4:20 p.m. MDT Sunday.

For Hillary Clinton, having her own baby grandchild to kiss on the campaign trail, could be one of the biggest boosts to her possible presidential election campaign. Although the former Secretary of State and First Lady has not said if she will run in 2016, the arrival of her first grandchild will soften her image, analysts have said. While Chelsea only revealed her pregnancy on Thursday, supporters of her mother have already started cooing over a possible baby in the White House. With the Clintons having a near-royal status in the U.S., the announcement of a new arrival due this fall has sent

That was quite a victory dance President Obama did Thursday while claiming Obamacare is “working” because eight million people have now supposedly signed up for the health care program. He even indulged in some less-than-subtle mockery of Republicans - and by extension the majority of Americans who have disapproved of Obamacare since before it became law. "The repeal debate is and should be over,” Obama said, taking a dig at Republicans who are “going through, you know, the stages of grief … anger and denial and all that stuff …” But a president who is viewed by most Americans as less

GREENSBORO, Ga. — Golf holes the size of pizzas. Soccer balls on the back nine. A mulligan on every hole. These are some of the measures — some would say gimmicks — that golf courses across the country have experimented with to stop people from quitting the game. Golf has always reveled in its standards and rich tradition. But increasingly a victim of its own image and hidebound ways, golf has lost five million players in the last decade, according to the National Golf Foundation, with 20 percent of the existing 25 million golfers apt to quit in the next few years. People under 35 have especially spurned the game, saying it takes too

In a speech earlier this week, Lisa O. Monaco, President Barack Obama’s assistant for homeland security and counterterrorism, insisted that American parents must be vigilant because their “confrontational” children could be on the verge of becoming terrorists. Monaco’s full, prepared text is available here. She presented the speech, entitled “Countering Violent Extremism and the Power of Community,” at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government on April 15. Monaco began her remarks by eloquently describing the lives tragically lost last year during the Boston Marathon bombings. Interestingly, the Harvard grad failed to mention the religion or the motive of brothers Dzhokhar and Tamerlan

Hi, everybody. For millions of Americans, this time of year holds great meaning. Earlier this week, we hosted a Passover Seder at the White House, and joined Jewish families around the world in their re-tellings of the story of the Exodus and the victory of faith over oppression. And this Sunday, Michelle, Malia, Sasha, and I will join our fellow Christians around the world in celebrating the Resurrection of Christ, the salvation he offered the world, and the hope that comes with the Easter season. These holy days have their roots in miracles that took place long ago. And yet, they still inspire us, guide us, and strengthen us today. They remind us of our

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Thursday that a family of dissident ranchers and their supporters in his home state of Nevada are ´domestic terrorists,´ citing this week´s standoff with the federal government´s Bureau of Land Management. Cliven Bundy has refused to pay grazing fees for land where his hundreds of cattle roam every day. The land is owned by the federal government, which says he owes more than $1 million. Bundy, however, insists that since his family has been using the land since the 1870s, Uncle Sam can´t collect the grazing fees. A tense standoff developed this week after

WASHINGTON--Rushing to an afternoon vote last month, Sen. Ted Cruz hopped the underground tram to the U.S. Capitol from his office across the street. The Texan planted his black ostrich cowboy boots in the middle of the small subway car without getting so much as a nod from the other senators--Republican or Democrat--amiably chatting or huddled in their seats. Mr. Cruz finds himself standing alone a lot these days. His response to the cold shoulders: "The establishment despised Ronald Reagan" before he became president, "but the people loved him." For the 43-year-old Republican, the Reagan name illuminates his political life´s

If the Rev. John DeBonville could preach a sermon to lift the souls of churchgoers across America, his message would be simple: Stop dressing so tacky for church. DeBonville has heard about the “come as you are” approach to dressing down for Sunday service, but he says the Sabbath is getting too sloppy. When he scans the pews of churches, DeBonville sees rows of people dressed in their Sunday worst. They saunter into church in baggy shorts, flip-flop sandals, tennis shoes and grubby T-shirts. Some even slide into the pews carrying coffee in plastic foam containers as if they’re going to Starbucks. “It’s like

President Obama asserts that 8 million people have signed up for Obamacare, as though that were something to be proud of. In fact, Obamacare has always been a fiasco from a fiscal perspective–a black hole of subsidies and expanded Medicaid, with largely fictitious mechanisms in place to pay for it. As the number of subsidized participants grows, the disaster gets worse. Charles Blahous explains: Our national discussion…is missing the truly significant story here; what is unfolding before our eyes is a colossal fiscal disaster, poised to haunt legislators and taxpayers for decades to come. It is quite possible that the ACA is

“On the third day, he rose again.” That line, from the Nicene Creed, is a foundational statement of Christian belief. It declares that three days after Jesus died on the cross, he was resurrected, a glimmer of the eternal life promised to believers. It’s the heart of the Easter story in seven little words. But how that statement is interpreted is the source of some of the deepest rifts in Christianity — and a stumbling block for some Christians, and more than a few skeptics. Did Jesus literally come back from the dead in a bodily resurrection, as many traditionalist
