Is Boehner’s Gavel on the Line?
Roll Call, by Matt Fuller & Steven T. Dennis

Original Article

Updated 8:15 p.m. | Speaker John A. Boehner should lose his gavel if he pursues immigration this year, a prominent tea party Republican said in an interview with CQ Roll Call on Tuesday. “I think it should cost him his speakership,” Rep. Raúl R. Labrador of Idaho warned, if Boehner puts an immigration overhaul on the floor. But even if Boehner shelves immigration, Labrador said, the party needs new leadership — and the two-term lawmaker is not ruling out a run for leadership himself. “There is a hunger in the conference for bold, visionary leaders, and this is not just conservatives — you

Comments:
This could get very ugly and Boehner will not go quietly into the night. He enjoys the perks and money way too much. When Labrador is asked about Cantor as the new leader he said he "could provide that bold leadership, but he needs to be more open about it..." What on earth does that mean? Cantor is weak and mealy-mouthed. He is not a strong leader.

It is time for the Republicans to put a Real Leader in place. Boehner has to go, and Cantor should not even be a choice here.

Call your Reps and push for it.

The Dems are going to double and triple down on this immigration thing, as it is the ONLY way they can take Congress back, and have to have illegals be able to vote this fall for them!!

The push from Dems will continue to get heavier as the election time nears.......
Boehner WILL cave to them !

Although he is a freshman congressman, in time and with more experience Jim Bridenstine would be a great speaker.

I´ve been told that the Speaker of the House can be ANYBODY and does not have to be in congress. How about Gingrich? He did a great job in the 1990s. We need someone who has nothing to loose and willing to take it to the Democrats.

Boehner is a loser. He has been an appeaser to Obama´s administration because of his cowardice to take him and the the media on. Last week he said" don´t pick a fight if you believe you don´t have a chance to win it". Perhaps he should check with the Patriots who on April 19, 1775 stood up to the Brits who
were the strongest nation in the world at the time. The Brits fired the "shot heard round the world". The American Revolution was on. George Washington and a few thousand farmers took on Great Britain and their despotic king on and although they were often beaten by the Brits the won the final and last battle at Yorktown where Cornwalis quit and signed the peace treaty which created the United States of America, which became the greatest nation in the world, that is until 2008, when a mulatto president has degraded us to a 3rd world status.

If you do a quick Internet search for "Gwyneth Paltrow," you´ll find an onslaught of furious comments about the actress. Alhough the 41-year-old often stirs up controversy (thanks to everything from her touting her own wood-burning pizza oven to referring to her recent breakup as a "conscious uncoupling"), this latest reaction is due, in part, to a New York Post open letter to Paltrow regarding an interview she gave on the challenges of being a movie-star mom. On Friday night O’Reilly stood by his words and called Lee both a “pinhead” and a “liar” in response. O’Reilly mocked Lee’s insinuation on MSNBC that on the right, “we all use phrases that denigrate African-Americans.” He went through a list of examples he believes bolsters his “race hustler” charge and said, “How about pinhead, congresswoman? New allegations are raising additional questions about former CIA Acting Director Michael Morell´s involvement in crafting the administration´s flawed narrative on the Benghazi attack, ahead of his scheduled testimony next week on Capitol Hill. Morell is set to testify publicly for the first time on Wednesday about his role in crafting the controversial Benghazi "talking points," which initially blamed a protest for the deadly attack. The former acting director, and deputy director, was called to testify to explain potentially conflicting testimony he gave Congress about the talking points and the administration´s role. The White House took steps Friday toward issuing methane emissions regulations at hydraulic fracturing sites, a move that would slash greenhouse gas emissions in hopes of meeting President Obama´s climate goals but will invite backlash from industry. The news is a victory for environmental groups, which note that methane -- a short-lived, potent greenhouse gas that has a 20 times greater impact on climate change than carbon dioxide -- is the largest remaining unregulated greenhouse gas, accounting for 9 percent of U.S. emissions. The oil and gas industry, however, has warned that regulating methane emissions would stunt domestic energy production by raising

Although U.S. agriculture only accounts for about 9 percent of the country’s greenhouse gas emissions, according to the Environmental Protection Agency, it makes up a sizeable portion of methane emissions — which is a very potent greenhouse gas.
