Republicans to the rescue?
Jewish World Review, by Thomas Sowell

Original Article

Some supporters of President Obama may be worried about how he and the Democrats are going to fare politically, as the problems of Obamacare continue to escalate and it looks like the Republicans have a chance to win a majority in the Senate. But Democrats may not need to worry so much. Republicans may once again come to the rescue of the Democrats, by discrediting themselves and snatching defeat from the very jaws of victory. The latest bright idea among Republicans inside the Beltway is a new version of amnesty that is virtually certain to lose votes among the Republican base and

That´s just what I said earlier. IF the brain washed GOP pushes this through and/or agrees to push it through, GOP is doomed and then we have a totalitarian government. We´re doomed as I said earlier. Thank you freaks who voted for Obama TWICE!

The solution to ´immigration reform´ is simple, GOP Establishment: adopt the exact same immigration laws Mexico has. In fact, translate into English word for word their own law and use that for reform.

That way when you´re accused of being bigoted, insensitve and racist by La Raza or any other militant Latino organization (or by the Mexican government for ´violating human rights´) you can point out you´re merely replicating what Mexico considers a ´just immigration law´. What´s good for the goose is good for the gander.

This is who Republicans are. This is what they do. The "leadershp" of Republicans in the Congtress is made up of persons who consider themselves to be elites, entitled to hold their seats until death. To retain their seats, they practice a "don´t rock the boat" philosophy, usually abbreviated as RINO. Better to be a permanent minority and remain in Congres than to actually fight for anything is their motto.
Herein lies the deadly problem of having no term limits: Members end up representing the lobbyists who pay their expenses rather than their constituents.
Throw the bums out!

it matters little what the law says. Truly.
either,
a) some judge with delusions of grandeur will "discover" a hitherto-undiscovered emanation of a penumbra that both puts that judge as True Ruler of the Nation *and* determines that citizenship and residence in the USA is a "basic human right of ALL"
or,
b) the President et al will simply ignore those parts of the law found to be disagreeable. Normally, we would call such an attitude and behavior "criminal malfeasance in office", to be followed by a period in a nearby crossbar hotel. But Obumble seems to get away with it. And so did George W. Bush before him, who blazed the trail that Obumble is paving. Lots of blame to go around.
and, please note, that there is NOWHERE in the Constitution the authority granted for the Executive Branch to pick and choose like this, nor for the Judicial Branch to have such claims of Supreme Authority.
time for a housecleaning, and it will take more than Tea.
"when in the course of human events, it becomes ...." remember how that goes?

Though former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin was not included in a Public Policy Polling survey of potential 2016 Republican presidential contenders, she was still overwhelmingly the most liked person among Republican primary voters. According to Public Policy Polling: The best liked person we tested on this poll with Republican primary voters is actually Sarah Palin who has a 70/20 favorability rating. She´s followed by Huckabee at 64/18, Ryan at 58/18, Paul at 58/21, Bush at 56/18, Cruz at 45/20, and Christie at 40/38. Most of those numbers are similar to what they were a month ago but Christie´s seen a substantial drop

Texas gubernatorial hopeful Wendy Davis brushed off criticism about her life story from Bristol Palin, saying that nothing Palin accused her of was true. Davis was responding to a blog post from the daughter of former Gov. Sarah Palin, who wrote last week amid questions about the timeline of Davis’s personal biography, slamming her for allegedly leaving her kids behind with her ex-husband after finishing law school. “Gosh, children are sooo inconvenient, huh? I’m glad my mother didn’t put motherhood on the shelf when she was elected to City Council, then became our mayor, then governor,” Palin wrote,

The newspaper business stinks Take a look at the product People don´t read, they skim Readers trust peers, not institutions Does anyone really "read" a newspaper anymore? Did they ever? It´s a pretty important question, given all the newspapers trading hands these days. The Washington Post and The Boston Globe are the latest. Of course, the deals seem to get cheaper. They´re in the millions now, when not too long ago they were in the billions. Another sign of the industry´s ongoing decline. That downward trend started with TV competition,

My effort to expose the Senate minority leader´s ugly campaign upended my life. Here´s what happened(.) Earlier this year, I secretly made an audio recording of Sen. Mitch McConnell, the most powerful Republican on the planet, at his campaign headquarters in Kentucky. I’m a liberal activist in Kentucky. I’m also a citizen journalist — at least I used to be — because I don’t subscribe to the lie that activism and journalism can be separated. Howard Zinn wrote,“You can’t be neutral on a moving train.”

President Obama told donors like Jessica Biel, Justin Timberlake (who was wearing hipster glasses), and Tommy Hilfiger that Washington gridlock is pretty much Rush Limbaugh´s fault on Monday evening at a fundraiser at Harvey Weinstein´s house in New York´s Greenwich Village. Obama admitted that his theory — that after the 2012 election, the Republican "fever" would break, and they´d decide to co-sign some of his agenda — was wrong.

President Barack Obama’s deputies have quadrupled the number of signatures that petitioners on the administration’s “We the People” website must collect to get an official response from the White House, following a series of popular, provocative and disrespectful signature drives by his critics. Some of the petitions sought approval for states to secede after Obama’s re-election, while others called on the White House to disavow executive orders that restrict gun rights, or to deport CNN’s British-born, progressive host Piers Morgan.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D., Nev.) said the fault of struggling to sign up on the Obamacare exchanges didn’t lie with the faulty website, but with the people who weren’t “educated on how to use the Internet.” Explaining the reasoning behind the latest Obamacare delay, Reid said too many people just didn’t know to use their computer properly and needed more time. Apparently, it had nothing to do with the well-documented failings of the website that have embarrassed the White House for months. “We have hundreds of thousands of people who tried to sign up who didn’t get through,” he said.

Okay, THAT was certainly embarrassing. At the end of a joint news conference with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte in the Netherlands on Tuesday, the applause for Barack Obama came from a grand total of one guy. One. After thanking the crowd twice for suffering through his boring, standard worn-out spiel, Obama looked around the room, expecting the usual fanfare and applause he receives from his loyal followers back home. It never came. Instead, the Leader of the Free World was met with one slow, awkward clap. Question: was MSNBC’s Chris Matthews in the house?

U.S. President Barack Obama and Pope Francis met Thursday for the first time at Vatican City, offering a chance for a reset of sorts between the administration and Catholic leadership following years of strained relations. The two world leaders greeted each other with a smile and a handshake, and posed for pictures before sitting down across a table from each other. The goal of the meeting: Focus on areas where two of the world´s most influential men agree and gently tread ground where they differ. The President and the Pontiff will, as the White House said in a statement, focus on "shared commitment

According to the AP-GFK survey released Wednesday, 59 percent disapprove of Obama´s job performance while 41 percent approve. A similar poll released by the news outlet in January found 45 percent approved of him while 53 percent disapproved. Other recent polling has found Obama´s disapproval rating slightly lower, remaining in the low 50s. A CBS News poll Tuesday showed 50 percent disapproval, while Gallup has his disapproval at 52 percent. In the AP poll,

On Tuesday night two things happened. 1. A trio of Secret Service agents were sent home from Amsterdam after one was found passed out drunk in a hotel hallway. 2. The Obama Administration announced (another) extension of the enrollment deadline for Obamacare signups. At first glance, these two events have little in common with one another. But, modern politics is all about narratives and storylines. And, both of these events confirm a growing concern from the public about President Obama: That he´s just not up to governing his administration and, by extension, the country, effectively.

One by one, the myths of the Affordable Care Act have been revealed. When the curtain on open enrollment falls on March 31, the last remaining big myth of ObamaCare will be fully exposed: The individual mandate has failed. After a last-ditch effort with President Obama himself encouraging "young invincibles" to sign up before the deadline, the administration is scrambling to boost enrollment. On Tuesday, the White House announced that people who applied for coverage on the federal health-insurance exchange will have until mid-April to finish the paperwork. The mandate was supposed to be the administration´s magical elixir for the assorted shortcomings

While traveling in Italy on Thursday, President Obama shared the news in a conference call with thousands of health-care navigators and volunteers helping enroll people on state and federal marketplaces. As the volume of consumers seeking health plans has surged -- there were over 1.5 million visits to HealthCare.gov Wednesday and more than 430,000 calls to the marketplaces´ call centers -- Obama urged those on

These Republicans are applying conservative principles to 21st-century challenges, focused on middle-class concerns like lowering costs and improving access to college, modernizing health care and reforming the tax code. They aim to broaden prosperity´s reach through markets and merit, not government and corporate cronyism. They´re also concentrating on helping the poor by changing Washington´s dizzying assortment of antipoverty programs to emphasize work and make the safety net more effective and sustainable.
