Congressional Budget Office
sends death blow to ObamaCare

New York Post, by John Podhoretz

Original Article

The Affordable Care Act, aka ObamaCare, became law almost four years ago. It became operational last Oct. 1. Yesterday, Feb. 4, 2014, the ACA may well have been dealt its death blow. The Congressional Budget Office released a major study of the government’s budget and its effect on the overall economy over the next 10 years. In dull bureaucratic language, it delivers a devastating analysis of the inefficiencies, ineffectualities and problematic social costs of ObamaCare. The one-two punch: Virtually as many Americans will lack health coverage in 10 years as before the law was passed — but 2 million fewer

Obama´s Unaffordable Careless Act was always meant to hurt the economy. How can people not have understood this before?

Obamacare is not about health insurance.
Obamacare is not about health CARE.
Obamacare is a TAX.
Obamacare is control.
Obamacare is the destruction of one sixth of the US economy to create a soviet style system to control the health and finances of ALL Americans by DC bureaucrats and their fascist corporates.
Repeal and Replace.
Cruz, Lee and Paul were and are Right.
Boehner, McConnell and yesterday´s Man McCain owe them a very public apology.
Support Cruz, Lee and Rand and not the fascist enablers.

This (Ocare) is the biggest economic train wreck ever foisted upon the American people. Zippy should first be impeached and then the law can be repealed. Desperate times call for desperate measures. The stock markets are screaming for repeal. Be not deceived - bad times are ahead for American business and jobs.

But Nancy Pelosi said obamacare "is going to be a beautiful thing" that allows people to have "freedom."! These stats will have no effect on Democrats and their support for this crap sandwich called obamacare being shoved down our throats. We´re stuck with obamacare after all Speak Boner just reaffirmed it was the "law of the land" recently on the Tonight show. How do these absolute idiots get in Congress and the White House? Podhoretz is dreaming again. Democrats along with help from Republicans are destroying the greatest healthcare system in the world!

The professional progressive/Marxist lier´s will come up with their own little study and deny everything about this CBO report, the progressive/Marxist media will jump all over it and nothing will happen, it then becomes old news and you will be labeled racist to bring it up, how many times have we seen that happen.

None of the stock market pundits will say (extremely non-PC) but this is why the stock market topped out in the first week or two of January. Another undocumented feature of obamaCare.

Which do you fear most,an ever increasing more powerful central government or a constitutional amendment to limit the federal budget and limit terms of office of the congress.
These can not happen through our elected officials in Washington. They will not let go of their power. 35 states will need to ratify a limited constitutional convention.

Since many Republicans are of the same mindset as the Democrats, I just can´t see them ever willingly making any meaningful changes in Obamacare. The Republicans drank the progressive Kool-Aid and are as committed to growing government as the Democrats. Their desire for wealth and power have overshadowed their belief in a restrained government. They may deny it, but their actions prove otherwise. I do no trust them because they have proved unworthy of my trust. Until I see real concrete actions to halt this downward spiral we are on, they have lost me.

If we had no other reason to gawk at the spectacle of an isolated, arrogant and imperial political class inside the Beltway, it would be their blindness to this Tsunami of devastation sweeping through the markets, the economy, the healthcare system, personal finances, the job market and the business community – all a result of the ACA.

Obama and the Democrats birthed this monster, and the feckless Republicans are powerless to repudiate it or the lawless redo’s and remakes that the Administration wreaks on it as it bulldozes through every nook and cranny of the American economy and the workplace.

Before this is all over, Obama and the foul and foolish ACA he has made his legacy is going to tear this country apart.

Death Blow? Buckle your seat belts, folks. When MengleCare falls, the aftermath is going to be even scarier than anything we´ve seen so far. The law has already done some much damage, it´s hard to imagine just how we´re going to go about repairing that damage, but you can bet your bottom dollar on one thing: the repair costs are going to be like nothing we´ve seen so far, and will involve bailouts for as far as the eye can see.

Here´s the scariest part: the Communist Left --led by the Communist Mulatto, will immediately start the push for Single Payer, and we don´t have but a handful of Elected "R"s who will fight back against it.

We have instead, the likes of McCain and Boehner who believe their lives will be complete and successful when they get a favorable mention in the New York Times, and strive daily to please the Editorial Board.

We have one hope: there are enough employed LoFo´s who will have had their health insurance screwed with by October, 1, that they revolt. Even a LoFo can understand insurance and healthcare costs that quadruple. Even they can understand it, and it just might get their attention.

Part of the Neo-Comm´s (my word) manifesto of which Obama´s a true believer...

"A socialist economy must tackle issues of incentives, productivity, technological change, research and development, sustainability, and the organization of production and distribution to make the economy more effective and efficient, in order to make possible the material benefits of socialism. Capitalism uses technological improvements to further exploit the working class; socialism uses technological improvements and increases in productivity to ´fund social programs, to shorten the workweek, and to provide free health and education´."

"A Communist Party is essential for Marxists to test revolutionary theory through practice. We are not a debating society wrangling over obscure texts. We are a political movement, and we welcome all who accept our program. As Marx said, ´The philosophers have only interpreted the world, in various ways; the point, however, is to change it´."

We would be wise to take them seriously.

As bad that Obozocare is now and how much more worse that it will become in the future, don´t look for it to be repealed in any what UNLESS the voters in this country wise up enough to vote out the Dims and RINO´s from the Congress and WH. And I´m not going to hold my breath. As the article mentions, there will be those who are satisified to stay at home, watch TV, smoke a few joints, not pay taxes, have free healthcare, etc. and all the while living a reasonable life at the expense of "the rich". Those types don´t have a clue about the millions that quietly get up and go the work every day and pay their taxes on time and live on a budget and wonder what will happen to them at retirement time. Time for that revolt I´m always talking about.

This is the true cost of freedom and the loss of it. Nothing changes until something changes. Change will happen only when enough people have had enough and are then willing to do what it takes to make change a reality. Hope and change? Great campaign slogan. Now how about this: Had enough? Hope it changes? This time vote for real change. Restore liberty and freedom. Vote for The Constitutional Conservative candidates.

I can´t understand how this law is not null and void right now. It was passed from the Senate to the House under "Budget Reconciliation" meaning it had ZERO effect on the budget, otherwise ALL spending bills must originate in the House. Since that is CLEARLY not the case now, after its rollout, I can´t understand why the House doesn´t just defund the entire thing, or sue the Executive Branch and Senate for breaking the law and possibly committing fraud with all the fudged numbers from the GAO early one.

Good analysis from Podhoretz but his conclusion that Obamacare may not be the "law of the land after the president leaves office" is flawed because it’s based on the election results of 2014. As #30 points out that will depend on Republicans fighting the rampant voter fraud that is the standard operating procedure for the communist Dims. If past is prologue then there is no evidence of that ever happening.

Here is another golden opportunity for the GOP establishment to switch their focus to repealing Obamacare and re-instituting free market policies; tort reform, insurance sales across state lines of policies that offer benefits of use to various segments of society, and no mandate for purchase.

Will the GOP leverage the public disgust for Obamacare to divorce themselves from the Cartel Party, or will they continue on in their role as the battered wife (immigration reform) in order to save their unholy union with the communist left? Tune in tomorrow for another episode of "The Smug and the Sellouts."

I´m having a hard time understanding why the Congressional Budget Office is issuing this major study now as fact, when it could have projected the same results four years ago.

Some will say the bill was passed unread, therefore not subject to verification. In fact that should have been reason for a scathing report when Congress passed an invisible piece of legislation.

This is what happens when you have Community Organizers and incompetents running Organizations they know nothing about. Yes, they did build this, and its trash.

Over 2 billion people are celebrating Easter today, April 20, as the calendars of Western and Eastern churches coincide this year, and these billions of faithful people are celebrating HOPE. The Easter message begins with the hopeful news that death has been overcome by life, that hatred has been overcome by love, and that sorrow has been overcome by joy. The elements of the story involve women arriving at a garden tomb and finding it empty, but even better, meeting the risen Lord, the embodiment of life and love. Their lives are changed forever and so are the lives of many, many

WHAT ARE the implications for Taiwan of China’s continued rise? Not today. Not next year. No, the real dilemma Taiwan will confront looms in the decades ahead, when China, whose continued economic growth seems likely although not a sure thing, is far more powerful than it is today. Contemporary China does not possess significant military power; its military forces are inferior, and not by a small margin, to those of the United States. Beijing would be making a huge mistake to pick a fight with the American military nowadays. China, in other words, is constrained by the present global balance

That was quite a victory dance President Obama did Thursday while claiming Obamacare is “working” because eight million people have now supposedly signed up for the health care program. He even indulged in some less-than-subtle mockery of Republicans - and by extension the majority of Americans who have disapproved of Obamacare since before it became law. "The repeal debate is and should be over,” Obama said, taking a dig at Republicans who are “going through, you know, the stages of grief … anger and denial and all that stuff …” But a president who is viewed by most Americans as less

WASHINGTON — Daniel Swalm was researching his family when he came across a disturbing episode in immigration history. That discovery would lead to a move in the U.S. Senate to apologize for action the nation took more than a century ago. Swalm discovered that under an obscure 1907 law, his grandmother Elsie, born and raised in Minnesota, was stripped of her U.S. citizenship after marrying an immigrant from Sweden. Swalm had never heard of the Expatriation Act that required a U.S.-born woman who married a foreigner to "take the nationality of her husband." This “Open Letter to the Friends of Ukraine,” by a guest columnist who writes under the pen name of Irina Gokieli, dated April 19, offers the author’s pessimistic scenario of forthcoming events in what Vladimir Putin now calls “NewRussia.” “NewRussia” encompasses southeastern Ukraine and parts of Moldova. Notably the author makes a persuasive case that the long-term consequences

The Kingdom tower will measure 3,280 feet when completed, which stretches 568 feet taller than the current Guinness World Record holder for tallest man-made construction, the Burj Khalifa building in Dubai. The building will dominate the skyline of the coastal town of Jeddah on the Red Sea. If you´re afraid of heights, you´ll definitely want to know the 200-story building will feature a massive 98-foot terrace jutting from the side of the 157th floor. The Kingdom Tower won´t come

Holder’s undermining of the

Attorney General Eric H. Holder was reminded during a recent congressional hearing that he has been held in “contempt of Congress” — for nonproduction of subpoenaed documents. He interrupted with a personal rebuke of his questioner. Later, he suggested that questioning of his leadership, nonresponsiveness to congressional oversight, and referring to the contempt vote was evidence of racism. The accusation was made a second time, perhaps as a political stratagem, by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Let’s stop there — and stop the deflection, too. No attorney general of the United States is entitled, for any reason, to escape scrutiny of Congress,

3 Times I Was Framed for Murder –

Have you ever been blamed for a murder? Speak out against jihad terror, and you probably will be. It has happened to me three times (so far): 3. Reza Aslan blames me for murder of Muslim woman in California. Last Thursday in El Cajon, California, an Iraqi Muslim named Kassim Alhimidi was found guilty of murdering his wife, Shaima Alawadi, after she had told him that she wanted a divorce. Before Alhimidi was arrested, this murder was widely reported as an “Islamophobic hate crime”: a note was found by Alawadi’s body that read, “Go back to your country, you terrorist.” Leftists and Islamic

The White House is going to war with another fox — and this time, it’s personal. The Wall Street Journal reports that a red fox has been causing chaos around the White House, tripping security alarms, digging up Michelle’s garden and distracting the president from his duties. The Secret Service won’t give any details about how often the fox trips the White House’s obviously sophisticated security alarms, but rest assured, officials say, they’re watching. President Obama was apparently “stunned” to see the fox roaming freely down the oft-photographed White House colonnade, home to the world’s shortest, but most dramatic, outdoor strolls. The bushy-tailed visitor

A group of seven multiracial Washington and Lee University (W&L) students are demanding the school remove all Confederate flags from campus and "acknowledge" General Robert E. Lee´s "dishonorable side." According to the Roanoke Times, "seven multiracial students, calling themselves ´The Committee,´" have also demanded the school "acknowledge and apologize for participating in chattel slavery." They want recognition of "Martin Luther King Jr. Day on the undergraduate campus" and an end to "neo-Confederates" marching across campus "to the Lee Chapel on Lee-Jackson Day." The students say they will "engage in civil disobedience" if their demands are not met by September 1st. They added: "The

For Hillary Clinton, having her own baby grandchild to kiss on the campaign trail, could be one of the biggest boosts to her possible presidential election campaign. Although the former Secretary of State and First Lady has not said if she will run in 2016, the arrival of her first grandchild will soften her image, analysts have said. While Chelsea only revealed her pregnancy on Thursday, supporters of her mother have already started cooing over a possible baby in the White House. With the Clintons having a near-royal status in the U.S., the announcement of a new arrival due this fall has sent

I began reading the entirety of the first section of the New York Times at nine years old, and continued that practice, more or less, for decades.(snip) ...the power of reverence, intrinsic to what I call the “cascade” of The Times: the near avalanche-like flow and distribution of information through electronic and print networks: through like-minded network newscasts, magazines, local newspaper s, blogs, daytime talk TV, late-night entertainment, statements at media award ceremonies, the celebrity Twitterverse, etc. The cascade rolls through Saturday Night Live, Jon Stewart, The New Yorker, the mouths of third-grade teachers, Elmo, Madonna and Susan Sarandon …through

GREENSBORO, Ga. — Golf holes the size of pizzas. Soccer balls on the back nine. A mulligan on every hole. These are some of the measures — some would say gimmicks — that golf courses across the country have experimented with to stop people from quitting the game. Golf has always reveled in its standards and rich tradition. But increasingly a victim of its own image and hidebound ways, golf has lost five million players in the last decade, according to the National Golf Foundation, with 20 percent of the existing 25 million golfers apt to quit in the next few years. People under 35 have especially spurned the game, saying it takes too

Hi, everybody. For millions of Americans, this time of year holds great meaning. Earlier this week, we hosted a Passover Seder at the White House, and joined Jewish families around the world in their re-tellings of the story of the Exodus and the victory of faith over oppression. And this Sunday, Michelle, Malia, Sasha, and I will join our fellow Christians around the world in celebrating the Resurrection of Christ, the salvation he offered the world, and the hope that comes with the Easter season. These holy days have their roots in miracles that took place long ago. And yet, they still inspire us, guide us, and strengthen us today. They remind us of our

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Thursday that a family of dissident ranchers and their supporters in his home state of Nevada are ´domestic terrorists,´ citing this week´s standoff with the federal government´s Bureau of Land Management. Cliven Bundy has refused to pay grazing fees for land where his hundreds of cattle roam every day. The land is owned by the federal government, which says he owes more than $1 million. Bundy, however, insists that since his family has been using the land since the 1870s, Uncle Sam can´t collect the grazing fees. A tense standoff developed this week after

To "honor the dignity and work of immigrants," Democratic House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi helps Bishop Marc Andrus wash the feet of two children Thursday at Saint John the Evangelist Episcopal Church in San Francisco. Pelosi also used the occasion to talk about passing HR15 - bipartisan immigration legislation that her office says would "reduce the deficit by nearly $1 trillion, secure our borders, unite our families, protect our workers and provide an earned pathway to citizenship." The Democratic leader´s ceremony coincides with Pope Francis´ similar ceremony in Rome to mark Holy Week.

WASHINGTON--Rushing to an afternoon vote last month, Sen. Ted Cruz hopped the underground tram to the U.S. Capitol from his office across the street. The Texan planted his black ostrich cowboy boots in the middle of the small subway car without getting so much as a nod from the other senators--Republican or Democrat--amiably chatting or huddled in their seats. Mr. Cruz finds himself standing alone a lot these days. His response to the cold shoulders: "The establishment despised Ronald Reagan" before he became president, "but the people loved him." For the 43-year-old Republican, the Reagan name illuminates his political life´s

Imagine a vendor on the National Mall, selling burgers and dogs, who hasn’t paid his rent in 20 years. He refuses to recognize his landlord, the National Park Service, as a legitimate authority. Every court has ruled against him, and fines have piled up. What’s more, the effluents from his food cart are having a detrimental effect on the spring grass in the capital. Would an armed posse come to his defense, aiming their guns at the park police? Would the lawbreaker get prime airtime on Fox News, breathless updates in the Drudge Report, a sympathetic ear from Tea Party Republicans?

Conservative columnist Ann Coulter — who used her talk show platform in the last presidential election cycle to campaign hard for former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney — has taken up the mantra once again, calling on Republicans to give the failed White House bidder another shot in 2016. She made the suggestion during a discussion on Sean Hannity’s radio show while speaking of her new book, “Never Trust a Liberal Over 3-Especially a Republican.” Ms. Coulter also addressed the question of Mr. Romney’s shortcomings by saying that his 2012 loss wasn’t entirely his fault. “I think too much blame, not only in this

Prominent Washington correspondents are accusing President Obama and his aides of knowingly stretching the truth on issues like the so-called women´s pay gap just to create controversy and keep issues -- and the president -- relevant. Washington Post columnist Ruth Marcus kicked off the attack last week when she blasted as “demagoguery” the administration´s tactics during the pay gap debate. “The level of hyperbole -- actually, of demagoguery -- that Democrats have engaged in here is revolting,” she wrote. CBS White House Correspondent Major Garrett then weighed in this week in his National Journal
