Seahawks Coach, Players: Super
Bowl 2014 Great, But Jesus Better

Breitbart Sports, by Kevin Scholla

Original Article

As our church service came to an end today, our pastor asked if we´d like to stay a bit longer to see a quick video featuring some of the Seattle Seahawks. Everyone seemed interested. This despite the fact that Broncos gear far outweighed any Seahawks swag in the chapel. Heck, the Bears, Chiefs, and Eagles were better represented than the team from the great northwest. Still, the congregation was ready to give the film a chance. Everyone was pleased that they did. The video featured Pastor Mark Driscoll of Mars Hill Church interviewing four Seahawks players and one assistant coach.

Watching the game now and Jesus is clearly on their side! Amen!

I love the stories of football players who are true believers. God is with us!

I kind of wanted Denver at the outset but didn´t have strong feelings. Obviously Denver has not earned ANYTHING in this game.....if the life stories and feelings of the Seahawks guys are true, I´m very happy for them, even if I personally am not religious.

When you get right down to it, individuals in the last 4 to 5 years have more openly been speaking about their faith more so than before. I am not referring to the T.V. or church ministries but individuals in a broad spectrum of business, organizations. Sarah Palin did not shun her faith and was not embarrassed to admit she prayed prior to the debates and at other times and asked for guidance as well as GWB while he was in the WH. Perhaps the pendulum is beginning to sway again back to a more God fearing society.

Jesus is our Savior - the Creator. Years ago in this country, most people would have found the comparison of our Lord to the Super Bowl laughable.

Imagine if a former Republican presidential candidate and U.S. senator had called a current Republican president a delusional liar whose programs are wasteful. Would the mainstream media not be all over the story? Such a person would be interviewed at length by Wolf Blitzer on CNN as well as made the rounds of the morning talk shows and the Sunday news programs as well. The media buzz would be red hot on this topic for days extending into weeks. Well, there is such a person but because he is a Democrat saying these things about President Obama, we can expect

President Barack Obama hits Chicago on Wednesday for two jumbo priced fundraisers to benefit the Democratic National Committee. Obama hosts a roundtable—I am told keyed towards business executives—at the Chicago Cut Steakhouse downtown where about 25 folks are expected; the tab is up to $32,400. The Obama roundtable is hosted by Mesirow Financial Chairman and CEO Richard Price. Later, Obama is the headliner at a dinner for about 55—donating up to $10,000--at the Lincoln Park home of Craig Freedman and Grace Tsao-Wu, who is an Obama major donor and fund-raiser. Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin tops a national poll of female candidates that Americans want to run for president. The Economist/YouGov survey asked respondents in a series of polls last week which female candidate not named Hillary Clinton they would want to run for president. Palin is first in the national survey with 9%, followed by Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and former Secretary of State and National Security Adviser Condoleeza Rice with 8%. Michelle Obama is fourth with 2% of the vote. In other national polls, Palin has the highest favorability rating among Republican presidential primary voters. If she does

Here is a seeming paradox of American life. One the one hand, there is a broad social-science correlation between religious faith and various social goods — health and happiness, upward mobility, social trust, charitable work and civic participation. Yet at the same time, some of the most religious areas of the country — the Bible Belt, the deepest South — struggle mightily with poverty, poor health, political corruption and social disarray. Part of this paradox can be resolved by looking at nonreligious variables like race. But part of it reflects an important fact about religion in America: The social goods

Boston firefighters gathered Thursday at Logan Airport to meet the family of a fallen comrade in an emotional show of respect and gratitude. Massachusetts Port Authority Fire Department members waited silently outside the gate of a flight escorting Lt. Edward Walsh’s mother. He was one of two firefighters who died earlier in the week while trying to tame a blaze in the city’s Back Bay neighborhood. The picture was taken by Max Widmer as he waited to board his plane and the firemen waited for the JetBlue flight that carried her to Beantown free of charge, according to WCVB.

AUSTIN - The dedication of the Vietnam Veterans Monument at the Texas Capitol on Saturday highlighted the pain, pride and solidarity of those who served in an unpopular conflict. "They fought, they bled, all too often they died for their country. When they came home, there wasn´t any parades. There weren´t any picnics. Instead they were treated with indifference or, even worse, with outright scorn," said Gov. Rick Perry. Perry said the bronze sculpture of an infantry patrol, unveiled before a throng of veterans, will "stand as a declaration that in Texas, we understand how blessed we are to have

After a disastrous presidential campaign in 2012, can Texas Governor Rick Perry mount a credible bid for the White House in 2016? Texas Governor Rick Perry is currently on a media tour touting the theme that America is a great place for second chances, specifically second chances for Texas governors with national ambitions. Perry is trying to erase the memory of his disastrous 2012 GOP presidential campaign which included “brain-farts” and “oops” debate moments with his folksy, charming, and uniquely American manner. Curious about Perry’s comeback strategy, I asked Texan and GOP presidential media guru, Mark McKinnon and he said,

As part of its plan to reduce U.S. greenhouse gas emissions, the Obama administration is targeting the dairy industry to reduce methane emissions in their operations. This comes despite falling methane emission levels across the economy since 1990. The White House has proposed cutting methane emissions from the dairy industry by 25 percent by 2020. Although U.S. agriculture only accounts for about 9 percent of the country’s greenhouse gas emissions, according to the Environmental Protection Agency, it makes up a sizeable portion of methane emissions — which is a very potent greenhouse gas. A startling rift appeared Tuesday on the Supreme Court as the three female Justices came out swinging like Brunnhildes — women warriors — for what they erroneously labeled an “entitlement” to employer-provided contraceptives and morning-after pills. The Justices were hearing oral arguments in Sebelius v. Hobby Lobby Stores, Inc., a case hyped by the Democratic Party as a test for women’s rights. Justices Kagan, Ginsberg, and Sotomayor sprang on Hobby Lobby’s attorney , interrupting his every sentence and pummeling him with questions taken right out of the Democratic Party’s “war on women” playbook. Incidentally, Maraniss was telling the truth: Ann´s "days in Seattle" weren´t mentioned in Dreams from my Father and were only vaguely implied in Maraniss´s lengthy 2008 article. With high school seniors and their families now deciding where to enroll for college next fall, they might want to take a gander at research showing the best -- and worst -- values for a degree. The shocker in a survey by PayScale, a research firm that focuses on compensation, is that there are schools where students would have been better off not attending. Why? The 20-year net return on their college investment amounts to a financial loss, even when financial aid is included. Taking the time to get and spend money on a degree, in short, means you might actually find yourself in a financial hole. The survey may add to parents' doubts about

When atheist director and co-writer Darren Aronofsky promised that his epic "Noah" would be "the least biblical film ever made," that was not hyperbole. "Noah" is a brilliant, compelling, beautifully-mounted, beautifully-acted piece of storytelling conceived for the sinister purpose of leading people to believe that Christianity and Judaism are something they are not. (Snip) What does matter, though, is The Message. The Message is everything. And this is where Aronofsky is the snake in the garden. Using a $135 million, he and Paramount have brilliantly and deviously disguised the Pagan god Gaia as the God of the Old Testament … as THE God.
