Super Bowl XLVIII: Seahawks lead

EAST RUTHERFORD - The Seattle Seahawks lead the Denver Broncos, 22-0, at halftime of Super Bowl XLVIII. The first Super Bowl played in New Jersey - and the first held outside in a cold-weather venue - kicked off in front of a MetLife Stadium crowd of 82,529 with a game-time temperature of 49 degrees. It did not make this the coldest Super Bowl ever, but you´d be hard-pressed to find someone in the building who would complain about that. The Seahawks scored on the first play of the game, and they didn´t need their offense to do it. Broncos QB

I guess there is something to the analysis I heard yesterday. I think it was the FOX sports guys saying Peyton would be under the most pressure cuz of his unbelievable reputation and record. The Seahawks want it BAD and don´t quite have the same dynamic. Seattle DOES want this win badly and I think it gives them a big edge!

Jimmy Fallon and Will Ferrell dress as valley-girl teens for a humorous sleepover skit featuring Michelle Obama during Fallon´s fourth night as host of ´The Tonight Show.´ Michelle Obama’s appearance on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” Thursday was anything but a drag. The same thing, however, couldn’t be said for the newly minted affable host, who donned women’s garb in a hilarious sketch featuring the first lady and a cross-dressed Will Ferrell. Gone, the White House said, is Obama’s proposal for chained CPI — an offer to reduce the the benefit increases for Social Security and other federal social programs. How much more are black people in this country supposed to take? On Saturday, a Florida jury failed to convict Michael Dunn for the callous murder of Jordan Davis. Though he was convicted of three counts of attempted murder and also on a gun charge, a mistrial was declared for the first-degree murder charge. The former senator’s strong second-place showing in 2012 shocked—even scared—the GOP’s kingmakers, who saw in him an abortion-hating firebrand with no chance of beating Barack Obama. So it’s no surprise that today, the party’s mainstreamers are acting like he’s old news, again dismissing a Santorum presidential candidacy. Not that he cares. He’s too busy plotting another possible run at the White House. In recent months, Santorum has gathered his inner circle of longtime advisers to sketch out a presidential campaign.
