US Congress Serious About Immigration
Reform? If So, Let’s Follow
Mexico’s Law!

Nearly 30 years after the Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA) of 1986 was signed into law by President Reagan, ostensibly to fix the illegal alien problem once and for all, America begins 2014 embroiled in yet another bitter, divisive, gut-wrenching debate over the fate of tens of millions of illegals who reside here unlawfully. These tens of millions of uninvited and unwelcome peoples have settled here despite IRCA and despite the terrorist attack of 9/11 which should have caused our leaders to forcibly close US borders to unlawful entry. As US lawmakers struggle to find answers to this continuing problem, our

rather than that, here´s a novel idea. How about we rigorously follow our OWN law? And perhaps prosecute those who refuse to do so. Including the creeps overseeing those "sanctuary cities". And the business owners who, quite openly and unashamedly, employ illegals.

I think because if being threatened with jail is why businesses are pushing for amnesty through the chamber of commerce. I am opting this on Boehner´s, Ryan´s, Cantor´s, and McCarthy´s Facebook pages.

I think it is past time for a letter writing campaign...one to each congressman in your state plus an extra for Speaker Boehner:

Enact a single issue law to enforce the current laws and close the border first before primary filing closes or we will a find a primary opponent to force your retirement.

Maybe that would get their attention.

To add salt to the wound illegals are able to obtain the in-state tuition in States like CA and CO colleges.

Obscene. When you consider, if you are an American citizen coming from say, AZ and want to attend Cal State University not only you will be charged out-of-state tuition which is comparable to private college tuition, but also if you are a white student, diversity will likely wipe out any chance in obtaining a seat regardless of the GPA and PA.

Visit a So Cal state-funded college...you would swear you left the US.

When the current law was passed it was hailed for its humanity...the problem isn´t the law; it´s entirely the lack of enforcement and the active support of government that amounts to encouraging illegal border crossing. Maryland is one of the leaders in this travesty.

Since American politicians of both political parties refuse to effectively enforce the US immigration laws because of conflicts of interest involving either flooding the country with new foreign born voters for partisan political purposes or flooding the US job market with cheap foreign labor, Mexican illegal aliens have been getting away with all the factors that would be prohibited if the tables were turned and there were large numbers of Americans in Mexico in violation of the Mexican immigration laws. It will take a long time to design and implement the immigration law enforcement measures necessary to ensure that this silent invasion from Mexico and other countries can be brought to a close. If the politicians continue to allow illegal aliens to morph into US citizenship when allowed to maintain their home country citizenship and allegiances it will not be long before it will become politically impossible for this country to maintain any sort of effective border lines or immigration laws.

“To me, it’s not a question of ‘if’ we fix our broken immigration laws,” Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan said Wednesday, “it’s really a question of ‘when.’” Ryan, who was making the economic case for reforming our nation’s immigration system, was speaking at a breakfast hosted by the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Ryan called the nation’s immigration laws “chief” among the problems that are curbing economic growth. Noting the rate of retirement among baby boomers, Ryan said reforming the immigration system is necessary to fill future jobs. “Please know that we understand the value of immigration,” Ryan told the crowd. “We

A group of conservative House Republicans put a Medicare “doc fix” bill in mortal peril with their objections – but then acquiesced to a plan from GOP leadership to pass it without a vote. The vote was repeatedly delayed this morning as top Republicans scrambled to find the necessary votes for the legislation. Making the problem more difficult: the bill was brought to the floor under suspension of the rules, meaning it needed a 2/3 majority rather than the normal 1/2 majority. Huddling with leadership in an ornate room off the House floor, a group of GOP lawmakers who form

When House Republicans penned their Pledge to America in 2010, they convinced American voters they would advance a conservative agenda if they regained control of the House that year. Four years later, what promises have they actually delivered? ObamaCare is still intact, our national debt has grown by $3 trillion, and Republicans have capitulated to Democrats on every issue from the debt ceiling to the budget. Republican leaders in both the House and the Senate have failed conservatives and have failed to keep their Pledge to America. Let’s examine how the GOP pledge has fallen flat. Maine’s tea party governor, reared in poverty, is on a mission to reform the state’s welfare system. Gov. Paul LePage rolled out a four-proposal package on Monday that will get committee hearings in the legislature Tuesday afternoon. The reforms, which mostly tighten restrictions around the program, are part of an ongoing crusade against what LePage has described as a bloated program. “Big, expensive welfare programs riddled with fraud and abuse threaten our future,” he said in his state of the state speech last month. “Too many Mainers are dependent on government handouts. Government dependency has not — and never will— create prosperity.”

A triumphant President Barack Obama declared Tuesday his signature medical insurance overhaul a success, saying it has made America´s health care system ´a lot better´ in a Rose Garden press conference. But buried in the 7.1 million enrollments he announced in a heavily staged appearance is a more unsettling reality. Numbers from a RAND Corporation study that has been kept under wraps suggest that barely 858,000 previously uninsured Americans – nowhere near 7.1 million – have paid for new policies and joined the ranks of the insured by Monday night.
