Obama Battles O’Reilly in Pre-Super
Bowl Interview: ‘You and Your TV
Station’ Push Benghazi, IRS

Mediaite, by Evan McMurry

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 2/2/2014 5:54:00 PM

President Barack Obama sat down with Fox News anchor Bill O’Reilly for a pre-Super Bowl interview, a reprise of the Q&A the two did before the 2011 game, and Obama’s sixth straight pre-Super Bowl interview. O’Reilly grilled Obama on why Kathleen Sebelius had not been fired, noting that he as a taxpayer was paying her salary, and also asked if Obama thought the “If you like your plan you can keep your plan” claim was his “biggest mistake?” Obama responded to both queries by arguing that the implementation of the Affordable Care Act was an ongoing process, and he was committed to

Comments:
I have been the first to criticize O´Reilly, but I think he did a good job in this interview in coming out full force with 0bama and doing the best he could in stopping him from endless bloviating. As always, 0bama looked small and petty when he got in the dig about Fox. How rude and petty for a sitting president, how could we expect anything less from him. Of course he never gave a direct answer to any of the pointed questions from O´Reilly.

Really, O´Reilly! Amazing job!
Loved the "as a taxpayer" approach; he smartly became one of us--- not a celebrity. He pushed Obama just far enough and then let him hang --- ONLY when even pea-sized brainiacs could see that Obama was dodging and lying. Good, GOOD job! Very pleasantly surprised!

Obama was clearly angry that O´Reilly wouldn´t let him off the hook. He´s not used to that.

Nonetheless, he didn´t give any straight answers.

Mr. President do you think FOX should cover up your Administrations numerous scandals or should they cover them up as thereat of the main stream media?

Mr President if FOX is not being fair with you, has the media been fair to Gov Christie recently?

Mr. President do you think it puts a Chill in the 1st Amendment over the Charging Mr. D´Souza over campaign donations after some of the highly suspect campaign contributions in both your elections.

Mr. President does it give a poor appearance that you put a campaign doner in charge of the IRS Investigation.

No O´Reilly probably did not ask these questions and Obama went on the attack anyway.

I can´t believe O´Reilly pushed this hard, but then he probably thought this was his last shot at an interview with Obomba. I would have followed up with Obomba blaming FOX for Benghazi mess by asking, Mr. President, then why did you lie to the American people?

Won´t watch it, but I´d bet that O´Reilly´s didn´t ask the 3 questions I would have asked...

Where were you during the Benghazi attack and what were you doing that was more important than saving our foreign service people?

Where was Hillary during the Benghazi attack and what was she doing that was more important than saving our foreign service people?

Who gave the stand down order and why?

I would normally NEVER listen to anything that 0bama has to say, but this was worth the ten minutes to hear it. I don´t like O´Reilly, either, but this was fascinating to see his "calm" & focused demeanor with our current Prince of Darkness (can I say that?).

Things popped out. One, 0bama admits to changing the "Grandfather clause" on his healthcare act. This is unconstitutional. He claims that there is a videotape that shows the "terrorist" attack on Benghazi. What is he talking about and where are all the audio/video made that night from phone calls and the overhead drone? Finally, 0bama claimed 3M signed up, and then said these were 3M young people carried by their parents signing up.

So what was the question posed by one of O´Reilly´s viewers? He had been soliciting questions a couple of weeks ago and promised that one of them would be asked.
I submitted mine, but I´m sure it was 86d.

Americans died in Benghazi, the President should be fully prepared to give the full account of what happened and why.
The IRS, by not granting tax exemptions to groups of the opposition party prevented them from raising funds to support their candidate..denying Americans a free and full election.
Obama is a dirty President..he smells from a mile away. That will be his legacy.

I swore I wouldn´t watch this, but decided to at least start out watching. Glad I did because I think O´Reilly really tried holding Obama´s feet to the fire. Of course Obama lied, but he ended up looking like a petulant child in the process. Anyone who was impressed with Obama rather than O´Reilly in this interview has a few screws loose. The only time O´Reilly let up on Obama was when he asked for his prediction about the Super Bowl Game. Sorry reply to that one too.

This was BOR best interview with the slippery Hussein.
He gave him tough questions and wouldn´t let him filibuster.
Hussein looked like a girly man about to have a throw down
He lied to the American people about Benghazi because it didn´t fit his "AQ is done" narrative.

Would I have liked for him to press a bit harder? Of course. But, like it or not, Mr. Obama is the President of the United States, and Bill O´Reilly handled the interview with all due respect.

O´Reilly knew Obama wasn´t going to answer his questions and already knew Obama blamed Fox News and Limbaugh for all his woes. He had just publicly said so. So when he asked his questions he quickly moved along to the next using body language that showed he was annoyed at the non-answers. Marshall McLuhan - the media is the message.
BOR played right into hands of BHO. BOR held this interview just before the SB - when no one was interested in politics; minds were on the SB. The fact that BOR asked all the hard questions will come to serve BHO, the dems, Hill and others very well in the months ahead. Why? Because, their answer will be ´asked and answered, now let´s move on´.
What BOR did was to assist in one of the most dems most critical ´document dumps´. When do pols dump bad news - Fridays when minds are tired and focused on the weekend; come Monday, it´s old news.
No one will remember his answers and he (and the rest of the dem gang) will claim it´s old news, that the chief went before the enemy and answered all the questions and now drop it.
We lost this round, like the Broncos lost the SB.

Despite some posters criticisms, I still think O´Reilly did a good job. We have to remember he only had about ten minutes to interview our King and of course Obama would want to stall. O´Reilly kept trying to pin him down, then had to move on with another question. I just hope it helped open the eyes of the sheeple who still like Obama. If they have even a tiny brain, they could tell Obama is nothing but an empty suit, liar, and waffles more than the Waffle House.

If only the hot shots on the other channels would be so tough when they interview their darling Obama.

The column I wrote last week, it turns out, has created somewhat of a storm. This is due to one thing only: Rush Limbaugh read it aloud on his radio program. (Start reading in the middle from where it says “BREAK TRANSCRIPT.”) That one decision by Rush led all of our mutual enemies to go viral, sending numerous Tweets and Facebook posts attacking Rush and me for supposedly arguing that the anti-Semitic neo-Nazi Glenn Miller acted because of Max Blumenthal. Iran is insisting that the United States accept its decision to appoint a former terrorist as it representative to the United Nations, which held a closed-door meeting on Tuesday to address Tehran’s concerns over the matter. President Barack Obama signed into law last week a widely supported bill preventing countries from appointing terrorists as their U.N. ambassadors. The bill came in response to Iran’s selection of Hamid Aboutalebi as its next envoy to the United Nations. The pick drew outrage on Capitol Hill and elsewhere after Aboutalibi was identified as having played a key role in the 1979 Iranian hostage crisis,

Also, Obama’s itinerary includes a meeting with “Malaysian civil society leaders,” but according to the White House he will not meet with Anwar Ibrahim, the veteran opposition leader who since the late 1990s has been embroiled in a legal battle with the government widely viewed as a politically motivated harassment campaign. Secretary of State John Kerry called Earth Day today “proof that the steadfast determination of millions is powerful enough to change the course of history.” “I still remember participating in the very first Earth Day back in 1970,” Kerry said in a statement this afternoon. “It helped to unleash a wave of grassroots activism that ultimately led to the creation of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and landmark laws like the Clean Air Act and the Clean Water Act. This Earth Day we need to consider new ways to unleash a new wave of activism to tackle today’s long list

When she was secretary of state, Hillary Clinton instituted a Quadrennial Diplomacy and Development Review. The first one was completed in December 2010. Nearly four years later, AP reporter Matt Lee asked State Department Jen Psaki to name one thing that Clinton’s QDDR accomplished. Just one. She can’t. LEE: “Off the top of your head, can you name one tangible achievement that the last QDDR resulted in?” PSAKI: “Well Matt, obviously it’s in an extensive, expansive process.” LEE: “So no.” PSAKI: “We’re looking at how it was done last time.” LEE: “Just one.” PSAKI: “I know, I’m making an important

U.S. military personnel has been on the ground in Yemen sifting through the aftermath of recent drone strikes, helping to retrieve bodies and data from the scene of a handful of weekend drone strikes carried out by the CIA, a source told Fox News on Tuesday. Separately, Fox News has learned that U.S. pilots provided airlift to Yemeni troops via Russian-built MI8 helicopters overnight for a separate ambush on a vehicle believed to be carrying top Al Qaeda militants. The missions follow the recent targeting of suspected terrorists in the country. On Monday, a suspected U.S. drone strike in southern Yemen killed 68 people,

President Obama vowed that the nation would be "strong right alongside" the victims of the Oso, Wash. mudslide after touring the area where a hillside gave way last month and wiped out a small neighborhood, killing at least 41 people. "The country is thinking about all of you and have been throughout this tragedy," Obama said. "We´re not going anywhere. We´ll be here as long as it takes." Obama thanked first responders, federal officials, and lawmakers, saying they have been "relentless in making sure Oso has the resources they need." And Obama said he was "inspired by the incredible way the community

The Citizens Commission on Benghazi, a self-selected group of former top military officers, CIA insiders and think-tankers, declared Tuesday in Washington that a seven-month review of the deadly 2012 terrorist attack has determined that it could have been prevented – if the U.S. hadn´t been helping to arm al-Qaeda militias throughout Libya a year earlier. ´The United States switched sides in the war on terror with what we did in Libya, knowingly facilitating the provision of weapons to known al-Qaeda militias and figures,´ Clare Lopez, a member of the commission and a former CIA officer, told MailOnline. More than 2,800 Internal Revenue Service workers who had been disciplined recently received millions of dollars in bonuses and time off as part of an employee recognition program, a new government audit shows. The IRS has a program that rewards its employees for a job well done, but a report released Tuesday by the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration found that, between October 1, 2010, and December 31, 2012, more than 2,800 recently disciplined IRS workers got more than $2.8 million in monetary awards and more than 27,000 hours in time-off awards. The employee infractions included not paying their taxes. “While not

The self-styled “civil rights” organization Southern Poverty Law Center, which despite mounting controversy maintains some links to government agencies, released a bizarre and factually challenged screed attacking critics and opponents of the deeply controversial United Nations plot known as Agenda 21. Apparently unfamiliar with the definition of basic words such as “conspiracy” and “theory,” or with the UN plan itself, the SPLC also lashed out at “activist groups,” “mainstream politicians,” voters, “extremists,” and others who question or oppose the UN agenda for what it calls “sustainable development” in the United States.

The Obama administration is poised to entertain a flood of new clemency applications from thousands of federal prisoners who were given harsh sentences under mandatory-minimum laws following drug convictions, Attorney General Eric Holder said Monday. Holder said in a short videotaped statement that he wants to shrink the federal prison population by a modest amount while ensuring ´that those who have paid their debts have a chance to become productive citizens.´ At the center of the move is a set of old sentencing rules that punished crack-cocaine offenders with more time behind bars than users or traffickers of powder cocaine.

Former Sen. Bob Dole (R-Kan.) said a number of junior GOP senators considering a presidential run in 2016 do not yet have the experience — specifically naming Rand Paul (Ky.), Marco Rubio (Fla.) and Ted Cruz (Texas). The former 1996 GOP presidential candidate sounded particularly skeptical of Cruz in an interview this week with The Wichita Eagle. "A number of the younger members, first-termers like Rand Paul, Rubio and that extreme-right-wing guy, Ted Cruz — all running for president now. I don´t think they´ve got enough experience yet," Dole said. The 90-year-old former senator said, however, his main concern about 2016 is living

If Jeb reaches for the nomination, there will be a titanic battle between the party establishment and the Tea Party. Steve Schmidt, McCain’s strategist in 2008, insists that in the end Republicans usually settle on the most electable candidate. To get by, this Bush may be forced to trim his positions, although the cautionary tale of Romney suggests that he would have to tack artfully and carefully for the sake of the general election. Certainly he will have the resources to outlast, discredit, and disqualify his rivals.

Washington - Michelle Obama said "splurging is the key to life" if you regularly eat right and stay active. Her biggest guilty pleasure: French fries. "How would you appreciate vegetables if you never had chocolate?" she asked. "You couldn´t live without a little chocolate, a little French fries." The first lady took questions from children reporters Monday after appearing at the White House Easter Egg Roll. She told the children that if they eat right the majority of the time, then a splurge or snack is not going to hurt them. "I still splurge when I can, but that's why I try to exercise almost every day," she said.

There’s a pattern of falsifying statistics throughout the entire Census Bureau. And anyone who attempts to blow the whistle on the fraud is either retaliated against or ignored, according to two new sources who have experienced the process firsthand. As I’ve been writing for more than six months, the Census Bureau office in Philadelphia uncovered a case of fraud in 2010, did nothing about it and allowed the practice to continue. In that instance, a data collector named Julius Buckmon was faking reports that went into the nation’s all-important jobless tally and consumer-inflation survey. Because the Census Bureau’s surveys are scientific — meaning

New audio reveals an Eastern Connecticut State University professor warning that Republicans will “want things to go back — not to to 1955, but to 1855? if they win control of Congress in November. Republican victories could also put him out of a job, he cautioned. “We will live in a very, very, very different kind of country if that happens,” Professor Brent Terry told students in his Introduction to Creative Writing course, according to audio obtained by Campus Reform. “I mean, colleges will start closing up if these people have their way.” Over the course of his rant, Terry characterized conservatives

Global sea levels have risen by 8 inches (20cm) since 1880 and scientists predict they could rise up to 3ft (98cm) by 2100. But despite the UN’s recent threats of war, famine and extreme weather, such a dramatically different world caused by sea level rise can be hard to imagine. To help picture the future, Martin Vargic, an amateur graphic designer from Slovakia, has created a map depicting the planet with sea levels around 260ft (79m) higher than they are today. He imagines what Earth would look like if the ice sheets surrounding the North and South poles melted, releasing

Thirty-eight Republican lawmakers, including such unlikely bedfellows as John McCain of Arizona and Ted Cruz of Texas, have joined to support a lawsuit challenging the legality of the Affordable Care Act and accusing the president of repeatedly ignoring the law he signed for political reasons. The lawmakers have signed onto a legal brief in support of a lawsuit filed by Sen. Perhaps the most remarkable feature of American democracy is the magnificent estate of public land that it reserved from the very beginning for the use of all citizens, rich or poor. There is nothing like it in the democracies of Europe, which came into being with nations already carved up into private fiefdoms. The Great Idea that hundreds of millions of acres of forests, deserts, rivers and prairies should be owned by, and managed for, the public interest has had a profound and lasting influence on American culture. But not everyone has accepted it. Cliven Bundy’s armed standoff with the National Park

At a petite 5’3’’, Sage Santangelo may not look like a combat fighter at first glance. But the female second lieutenant has never let that hold her back from pursuing her dream of becoming an infantry officer in the Marine Corps. Growing up, Santangelo found she was always able to keep up with the guys and enjoyed playing hockey on all boys’ teams. But when she joined the Marines, Santangelo found the playing field changed; she was segregated into female-only training units and as a woman, was relegated to less strenuous physical training than her male counterparts. And that’s why,
