Silence Reigned, Heroes Died
Breitbart, by Billy & Karen Vaughn

We are all familiar with the US Marine Corps slogan “Looking for a Few Good Men.” Truth is, America’s military has always had plenty of “good men.” What it seems to lack in spades is good leaders. Recently we met former Secretary of Defense Robert Gates on the set of Hannity. We’d spent most of our day scouring his newly released book, Duty, hoping to better understand the seeming total lack of leadership and direction our military has been subjected to in recent years. In all honesty, there were no revelations in Mr. Gates’s book, only confirmations of what we

Any problem, at any level (personal, family, city, nation, company, etc.) can be traced back to one thing: a failure in leadership.

Somewhere along the way, someone failed in their opportunity to lead themselves, their family, their city, their nation, their company out of the problem.

Apply this to anything in your life and you´ll begin to see things very differently.

Pardon a second post - I offered this article as the OP because Billy and Karen Vaughn are coming to The Villages TEA Party on Monday, February 10th at 6:30 p.m. The meeting is at the Savannah Recreation Center.

If you live in or near The Villages in Florida, come and join us. If you come, get there early - at least 60 to get a good seat. Hope to see you there - I expect they will be selling their book, Betrayed, at the meeting.

"As parents of a Navy SEAL killed in action, perhaps the most difficult words to swallow in his entire memoir were the following: “I never doubted Obama’s support for the troops, only his support for their mission.”"

This statement from Gates reveals the shallowness of his thinking. As the article states, if one really care about the "troops," one cares greatly about their mission.

IMHO, this Gates quote casts a great amount doubt on the objectivity of this book.

The military despises Obama.
Privately, he has no respect whatsoever.
Same goes for "Biteme"

I have seen this gracious, humble couple many times on Fox News to tell their story and try to get anyone in Washington to listen. They break my heart every time I see them. There has been little attention paid to this and no investigation after the fact into the horrific murders of those SEAL heros and what connection, if any, there is to 0bama, Biden or anyone in his regime related to their bragging about killing bin Laden and identifying those heros. Usually they are never, ever identified. Benghazi was a horrific event. The shooting down of this helicopter murdering all of those on board is equally horrific, if not more so. There should also be an investigation into this. Sadly, we know exactly what will happen in that regard.

FTA: How could any president, with a clear conscience, send men and women to fight and die for a cause in which he himself does not believe?
Answer: That´d be a bludgeoned conscience.

It says so very much of our fighting men and women that they still "lace up their boots every morning before the fight" and do so with honor.
Thank God for them and their supportive families.

More political street art has surfaced and this time it is in Georgia. A familiar poster with an image of President Obama taking a putt above the words “SUB PAR” appeared in Augusta on Friday morning around the Masters Golf Tournament. The image can be seen in several places including at the main entrance of Augusta Country Club, on electrical boxes, on resident lawns, and near the local mall. Another similar poster around town shows the president in golf gear next with the words : “If you like your handicap you can keep your handicap.”

Back during the 2012 election cycle, I had the good fortune to attend a meeting in Washington DC sponsored by Herman Cain. He had withdrawn from the presidential race and felt that the tea party needed to come together behind Mitt Romney. There were a number of attendees from around the country to include some of the larger tea party organizations. What ensued during that meeting was remarkable in what it didn’t achieve. The visceral and open anger towards a Romney bid was palpable. There was very little talk about defeating Obama. In fact, most of the time was spent by

Like many of you, I have read and watched “news” reports about Malaysian flight 370 (MH370) ad nauseum. And I have been especially struck by (and concerned by) what has not been reported. For example: did you know that the pilot of MH370 was Muslim? Did you know that the copilot was Muslim? Did you know that the captain of MH370 was a fervent supporter of Muslim political activist Anwar Ibrahim? Did you know that Captain Shah was (is?) Ibrahim’s son-in-law? Did you know that Ibrahim was convicted of sodomy (a crime in Malaysia) only hours before flight 370 took off?

President Obama will go down to Toluca, Mexico for a 9-hour visit. He will see that Toluca is an industrial town outside of Mexico City that looks like a portion of the industrial Midwest has been transferred south of the border. He will sit down with a couple of leaders who are leading and getting things done. Let´s hope that he listens for a change.

Over the years, liberals occasionally get sloppy and let it slip that the inspiration for their vision of America comes directly from a left-wing activist/community organizer and student of Chicago mobsters, Saul Alinsky, author of a handbook for revolutionaries entitled Rules for Radicals. Just prior to his death in 1972, while discussing life after death in a Playboy interview, Alinsky said that, if given the choice between heaven and hell, he´d choose hell.

The 44th President of the United States is, of course, Barack Hussein Obama II. Barack Hussein Obama II has also been known by names such as Barry Soetoro, Barry Obama, and Barack Hussein Obama (Soebarkah). To be sure, only supposed madmen note that the name "Soebarkah" originated in very tight spatiotemporal proximity to the operations of a cult called "Subud" that was founded by a Muslim named Mohammad Subuh -- a cult wherein personal name changes were the order of the day.

On Fox News Sunday, political analyst Brit Hume said that Eric Holder’s claim that his treatment at the hands of Representative Louie Gohmert (R-TX) at a House hearing this week was unprecedented toward an Attorney General, made him a “crybaby,” and that he and President Barack Obama had in fact benefited “enormously” from being the first African Americans in their respective positions. “This strikes me as kinda crybaby stuff from Holder,” Hume said. “My sense about this is both Eric Holder and Barack Obama have benefited politically enormously from the fact that they are African American and the first to

Let me obliterate a bit of confusion here: the Obama administration attempted to go to war with a rancher in Nevada. Let me amplify a little bit of truth: They tucked tail and have returned home. And let me add a bit of clarity: they had no choice! As the nation began to become familiar with the plight of the family of Cliven Bundy, many of us harkened back to another standoff in which the Federal government attempted to bully it´s outcome: Waco, Texas and the Branch Davidian massacre. It is telling that in the Nevada case the feds pulled out so

They’re both qualified, respectful of each other (shocker!), and represent the vast majority of middle America. So what’s not to like about another Clinton/Bush race for 2016? When you mention the prospect of Clinton vs. Bush 2016 a funny thing happens. First, there is the reflexive response: "Oh no, not again. We don´t need more dynastic politics in this country." But upon further reflection, you realize Jeb Bush vs. Hillary Clinton would be a great race and actually good for the country. Let´s review. QUALIFICATIONS—THEY’VE BOTH GOT THEM. Barack Obama won the presidency because in an election where the premium was on change, it mattered little

A rapid shift to wind and solar power is needed if the world is to avoid catastrophic global warming, the United Nations warns in a crucial report today. Emissions of greenhouse gases need to be cut by up to 70 per cent before 2050 to control climate change, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) says. ‘Large-scale changes in energy systems’ are required, with coal power stations to be switched off and replaced by wind and solar. And the transformation needs to be made in the next 15 years or controlling climate change will become increasingly harder and more expensive. The report was published

LAS VEGAS — The Nevada Republican Party stripped opposition to abortion and gay marriage from its platform Saturday as state convention delegates instead focused on judging fellow Republicans on their worthiness to serve in office and adherence to GOP values. The platform, with few changes, was adopted overwhelmingly as the Las Vegas convention stretched late into the evening. The vote mirrors that of the Clark County GOP, which voted earlier to remove platform language defining marriage as between a man and a woman and statements opposing abortion. Many Republicans are re-evaluating their strong stances on conservative social issues as public

Although both supported the shutdown and were heartily supported by tea party groups in their own Senate races, neither one has endorsed Matt Bevin in Kentucky, Milton Wolf in Kansas or Chris McDaniel in Mississippi. A brazen flash mob has been caught on camera storming a California store and making off with $20,000 worth of sunglasses. Shielding workers from what they´re doing, they quickly stuff dozens of fashion specs into their bags. A store clerk pleads with them to stop, before running out of the shot to get help and dial 911. A Russian fighter jet made multiple, close-range passes near an American warship in the Black Sea for more than 90 minutes Saturday amid escalating tensions in the region, a U.S. military official said Monday. In the first public account of the incident, the official said the Russian Fencer flew within 1,000 yards of the USS Donald Cook, a Navy destroyer, at about 500 feet above sea level. Ship commanders considered the actions provocative and inconsistent with international agreements, prompting the ship to issue several radio queries and warnings. The fighter appeared to be unarmed and never was in danger of

It’s hardly been a secret that in recent years the moderate center of the Democrat party has been driven away and what remains is a conglomeration of disparate blocs which, to date, the party has been able to treat as if there were no conflicting interests between them. As the midterm elections approach and the administration’s incompetence, along with the distaste for the president’s signature ObamaCare legislation, drive the party’s chances down further, the make-believe coalition of opposites may well crumble if the opposition doesn’t blow it.
