IRS rules change seen as

Conservative groups are mounting a major resistance effort against the Internal Revenue Service’s post-tea party targeting scandal rules, which are designed to clamp down on outside groups’ ability to organize as nonprofits and still play a role in political conversations. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell fired a major shot Thursday, taking to the chamber floor to say the rules amount to a declaration of war on free speech and vowing the GOP will try to block them. “Every American needs to know about this abuse of power,” said Mr. McConnell, Kentucky Republican. “Let me be clear: What the administration is

There´s no point in complaining if you aren´t willing to fight when it matters Senator McConnell. The Dems know you will roll over for them so they do whatever they want.

“Every American needs to know about this abuse of power,” said Mr. McConnell, Kentucky Republican. “Let me be clear: What the administration is proposing poses a grave threat to the ability of ordinary Americans to freely participate in the Democratic process.”

The Minority Leader must be feeling the heat coming from his challenger to fire this “major shot.” It might have had more impact if not for the use of the phrase, “Let me be clear,” which has become a “tell”, thanks to Obama, that what follows is meaningless and will not be acted upon.

Conservative groups should not go hat-in-hand to the lawless regime for permission to organize under the 501(c)(4) statute. Don’t identify yourself.

There´s probably few things in life that get under Obama´s skin as much as the Citizen´s United case. These idiots go out here and attacking people´s political free speech, while allowing themselves full throttle fundraising and no red tape applications for their sub group.Organizing for action is probably the most corrupt, exploiting non profit there is,that breaks rules at every turn and you can rest assured they´ve been carved out of this action.

I really don´t get how a supposedly politically neutral office like the president can send special e mails to a special interest groups or attending their fundraising events.+

Things have reached a level where I no longer believe that the situation can be corrected by means of the ballot box. The Obamunists have hunkered down and are not budging. In fact, they are accelerating their deconstruction of all our constitutional protections. The empty mewlings of our totally impotent Republican Congress are not taken seriously and pose no threat whatsoever to Holder, Obama, Reid, Pelosi, etc.

I believe that the battle for America is nigh. The only question is when and where the final spark will ignite it.

Found this on Theblaze, by Mark Levin:
Levin urged the House to pass a resolution that includes language similar to this:

“Whereas the president of the United States has asserted executive powers not granted to him under the United States Constitution, the United States House of Representatives hereby asserts as an equal governing institution that all such acts by the president of the United States are null and void. The House of Representatives further asserts that no federal department, federal official or federal employee is authorized to appropriate any sum of taxpayer dollars in furtherance of any unconstitutional act by the president of the United States.”

Oh wait, I remember, those Tea Party groups are those extremists within the GOP that you and Boehner, et al despise. And reallay, the US Chamber of (Crony) Commerce is not a non-profit so they can donate all they want to the likes of you.

This still can be tracked back to Obama through IRS chief counsel William Wilkins. Remember, Obama met with him in the White House.

Wilkins is one of just two political appointees at the IRS, a generous donor to Democratic candidates and causes, and once represented Jeremiah Wright’s Trinity United Church of Christ.

This is actually a gag rule. But the IRS’s new speech restrictions do not apply to labor unions, trade associations, political parties, or other non-profit groups such as 501(c)(3)’s. The impact is limited to the 501(c)(4)’s, which are the favorite vehicle for Tea Party groups.

So the "golden rule" is still in play. He who has the gold makes the rules. The IRS gets caught so they change the rules. We are in a post constitutional era.

It is a fundamental question. If you meet the requirements (and there are many) to be tax exempt, why should there be a threat of losing the exemption for daring to have an opinion about the source of taxation?

Members of a education, social, medical, or religious group already pay taxes (lets pretend that´s a requirement for being a citizen). So why is it that those same people, gather in a group, and aren´t extraordinarily happy with the people in charge?

BAMMO! We must punish you with taxation. Why? Because it´s a hinderance? Because you know it´s a threat? Because you know it could stop such speech? Isn´t THAT revealing!

The government does NOT subsidize us.

This has nothing to do with the IRS, it´s merely a McConnell act because he´s facing an election. And media are helping him sell it. When it mattered he did nothing. In June 2013 in pubic comments he clearly signaled the IRS scandal was over, that people should move on and look at the big picture. Obama did the GOP a great favor by letting the IRS impede the Tea Party. McConnell can only hope the interference continues forever.

#7 is correct. We have reach the point that elections are moot. Despite the addition of a number of conservatives to the House in 2010, the establishment GOP has gone overboard to get rid of them. So, where is the cohesion needed to fight against the lawlessness of the Dims? Those like Mitchell and Boehner simply want to maintain their own little corner of power and not have anyone rock their boat. And the only reason that Boehner showed a little bit of strength in the past is the fact that a number of those conservatives were making noise about removing him from the Speakership.

I´m still waiting for another shot that will be heard around the world.

Which Death Threat is always on top of the Deaath Threat List? The IRS is always tops!
The FDA, various unions, lobbyists, so many more, but nobody in Washington will utter a meaningful word or revelation about the IRS.
That´s it. And damn few will ever talk about actually removing the IRS, the Epartment of Education, so many brutal force drive aspects, needless aspects of our government. At least, more people are talking about it, even thoguh timidly.
For example, queswtioning the abuse of authority by the IRS has never been as popular as it is now. That´s a good start.

People actually leaving one tyrannically run state like New York or Californai, to go to a no tax state is a terrific new topic for discussion. The Rick Perrys and the Scott Walkers, LePage there are many good stories in the works, thanks to the internet and no censoring of truth.

The fact that Hollywood bankrolled Terry McAuliffe in Virginia makes me think there might be some merit to this, but since the IRS is behind it I don´t know. Cuccinelli, a fantastic conservative who brought the first lawsuit against Obamacare could not compete with the super millions that actors poured into Virginia. But there is nothing the IRS does that is not biased so I guess there should be outrage.

The Social Security Administration announced Monday that it will immediately cease efforts to collect on taxpayers’ debts to the government that are more than 10 years old. The action comes after The Washington Post reported that the government was seizing state and federal tax refunds that were on their way to about 400,000 Americans who had relatives who owed money to Social Security. In many cases, the people whose refunds were intercepted had never heard of any debt, and the debts dated as far back as the middle of the past century. “I have directed an immediate halt to further

Democrats have had a recurring problem in special elections this year: Their voters aren’t turning out. If a weak economy and continued Obamacare problems persist, the November elections could be a disaster for Democrats. Last week, Democrats lost two special elections they weren’t planning to. Arlington, Va., is a classic wealthy ObamaTown, filled with government workers and limousine liberals. Mitt Romney won only 29 percent of the vote in 2012. But last Tuesday, Democrats lost their first election for the five-member Arlington County Board in 15 years when John Vihstadt, a Republican running as an independent, won a vacancy on

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said little as federal agents seized and then released cattle last week from the Bundy ranch, but there is little doubt that the highly charged episode was threatening to become a political headache for the Nevada Democrat. Mr. Kornze issued a statement Saturday saying that the bureau would return the cattle and withdraw its agents from the ranch

On the defensive about their prospects in the midterm elections this fall, congressional Democrats have spent all of April savaging the Republican budget proposal, decrying the Koch brothers and championing a series of bills meant to ingratiate themselves to struggling middle-class voters. Republicans, they insist, are the party of special interests. It has been a classic Washington messaging campaign for these partisan

Following the massacre of grammar-school children in Newtown, Conn., in December 2012, high-powered weapons have been used to kill innocent victims in more senseless public incidents. Those killings, however, are only a fragment of the total harm caused by the misuse of firearms. Each year, more than 30,000 people die in the United States in firearm-related incidents. Many of those deaths involve handguns. The adoption of rules that will lessen the number of those incidents should be a matter of primary concern to both federal and state legislators. The Obama administration said Friday that it would block Iran’s nominee as ambassador to the United Nations from entering the United States, setting up a new confrontation with Tehran just as relations with the Islamic republic appeared to be improving. Struggling homeowners across the country could face significant new tax bills if they receive mortgage relief from their banks, a prospect that threatens to slow the housing recovery and put further strain on distressed borrowers. The collapse of the housing market and plunging home prices left millions of people stuck owing more on their mortgages than their homes were worth. Some have worked with their banks to reduce the loan amount to avoid foreclosure or enable a sale. In 2007, Congress adopted a law that spared those homeowners from being taxed on the amount of the loan that was forgiven. But

In an open letter to President Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry, Carter and the nine other Nobel Peace Prize winners bluntly warned the leaders: “Your decision on the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline will define your climate legacy.” The missive, published as an advertisement in Politico, represents the first time Carter has taken a position on the $5.4 billion project and makes him the first former president to come

Western Washington University sent a questionnaire to students asking them for advice on how the administration could succeed at making sure that in future years, “we are not as white as we are today.” The question notes that WWU’s racial make up does not perfectly reflect the nation at large, and asks students to consider strategies that other universities have used to focus on skin color as the paramount indicator of a student-applicant’s worth. The president of WWU has stated that his explicit goal is to reduce the white population on campus, according to Campus Reform. “I’ve said before and I’ll say it

How do you ensure that you won’t be ostracized, denounced, or fired if you are a media celebrity, captain of industry, or high public official? For some, sexist banter is certainly no problem. Stand-up comedian Bill Maher called Sarah Palin a c–t and a tw-t, but suffered no ill consequences. David Letterman joked on air that Sarah Palin’s 14-year-old daughter had had sex with Alex Rodriguez during a New York Yankees game. There was no downside to that either. President Obama tosses around “sweetie” as he wishes. No problem with that. No one believes Barack could be condescending to women.

With Easter soon approaching, the Rev. Al Sharpton on Wednesday drew parallels between the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the resurrection of President Obama’s political career. Joining the “Tom Joyner Morning Show,” Mr. Sharpton said that his message for this Easter is that “no matter what the world may do to you unfairly, no matter how you’re crucified — nailed to the cross at home, or in your personal relationships, or on the job — that you can rise if you don’t lose yourself during the hard times and the challenges.” The reverend went on to say that Christ endured so much humiliation and unearned suffering leading up to his death,
