Wendy Davis Comes
to a Moment of Truth

Time Magazine, by Hilary Hylton

Original Article

Posted By:MissMolly, 1/30/2014 3:10:50 PM

When it comes to portraits, a gauzy look can be a welcome thing for people of a certain age. But politics takes place in an unforgiving spotlight, as Texas Democratic gubernatorial hopeful Wendy Davis discovered when the Dallas Morning News exposed discrepancies in her oft-told tale of bootstrapping her way from single motherhood in a Fort Worth trailer park to graduating from Harvard Law School. That narrative has been central to Davis’ appeal as she seeks to translate the national attention from her marathon filibuster in defense of abortion rights last year into votes for her underdog candidacy this year.

Comments:
Is this woman for real? No one can be that cynical.

This is a simple case of Reality Refutes Rhetoric and Reality Wins

Wendy used men to advance her objectives and dumped one of her children in the process. I guess that is a war on men waged by liberal women.

It is fortunate the truth was revealed BEFORE the election.

Wendy, just tell us the truth and let the voters decide.

People are not liking the story, especially because she lied. Maybe it plays well in the lib press as myth, but there is much respect for the truth and over comming adversity when it isn´t a lie.

Two thousand years ago another political leader in history, the fifth Prefect of the Roman province of Judaea said, "Quid est veritas?" Over the centuries we have heard is said over and over even rephrased and said over again. Within the past year we heard it as, "At this point what difference does it make." Now we hear, “I think there obviously is a threat that people across Texas are connecting with me and connecting with the reality of my life story.” "Quid est veritas?"-"What is Truth?" will echo the caverns of the world forever along with, “Consummatum est” - "It is finished!"

Wendy´s first mis-statements (o.k.-lies) were call out by none other than a fellow Democrat/Liberal of the Dallas Morning News. Now, how bad can it get? When trying to blame the Abbott campaign, the author of the article cried foul on Wendy saying he had not talked nor did he receive any info from the Abbott campaign.

Currently Texas is the seen as one of the few States in full economic success.
Wendy Davis is the Obama hope of destroying
the Texas independence created by that success.
That is the only reason she has been selected to run.
Her character at this point is the only weapon open to use against her.
What is that motto--Don´t mess with Texas.Wendy should move on to
California Colorado or new York.but then the competition would be more talented.

Lying can be observed with most politicians. But, with democrats, lying is IN THEIR DNA. ObamaCare, IRS cover-up, Fast & Furious, Benghazi, Clapper, Unemployment stats, ...... there is seemingly no end to it. Such liars assume that the recipients of these lies are just too stupid to detect such deception. Such disdain for Americans may be deserved since Obama was elected twice, and HE is the Lyin´ King.
Wendy Davis? More of the same with the accompanying character deficits exhibited by fellow democrats like Harry Reid, Pelosi, etc. Apparently with Davis you can get the girl out of the trailer park but you can´t get the trailer park out of the girl.

Well, there are 31% in Texas who really will vote for the rat no matter what. She could be a convicted felon running the campaign from inside her jail cell under a life sentence and that "D" besider her name would still get her 31% of the vote. Then, there are the other 10% who are idiots- who would believe even "Santan woulnd´t lie about a thing like that!" and vote for her. So- all she needs is 51%--Her 11% campaign is what she has left- and in this day and age of idiots being allowed and even encouraged to vote- she could actually win it. Longshot or not- I can see the reasons these kinds of people run. Afterall, an illegal alien, communist, lazy jackass Kenyan ran for President and won! twice!

From manicures to motorcycles, four Little League crooks in three states used team funds for more than baseballs, bats and celebratory ice cream cones. Thanks to community kindness, it’s still game-on this spring. With the start of a new baseball season comes a disheartening stat that makes you worry not just for the national pastime, but for the nation itself: In less than a year, four little league presidents have been charged with looting their organization´s treasury. The thefts left three of the leagues in such sorry financial shape that it seemed the kids might not be able to play this spring. But nobler

He put energy and climate change minister Baroness Verma on the spot during the government’s daily question session in the upper chamber. … Lord Simon said: “In a programme some months ago on the BBC it was stated that this country has the

From 1964 to 1968, close to 34,000 Americans died in South Vietnam. We will never know how many Vietnamese women, men, and children perished during those years, but the total, according to most estimates, was at least one million. Among the dead were tens of thousands of civilians—blown apart by explosives dropped from planes, burned to death by napalm, or gunned down by U.S. troops whose commanders told them that, in a village considered loyal to the Vietcong, they should “kill anything that we see and anything that moved.” Their commander-in-chief was Lyndon Baines Johnson. KIEV, Ukraine -- Ukrainian special forces were deployed Sunday to an eastern city where armed pro-Russia men seized a police headquarters and the Security Service office, the interior minister said. Arsen Avakov wrote on his Facebook page that the "separatists" who seized the buildings in Slovyansk had opened fire on the approaching troops. This claim could not immediately be confirmed. The unrest in Slovyansk and the nearby major industrial city Donetsk were the latest shows of spiraling anger in eastern Ukraine, which has a large Russian-speaking population and was also the support base for Viktor Yanukovych, the Ukrainian president ousted in February

Or so the description might have gone had Charlie Crist labored a bit longer on his new memoir, in which the erstwhile governor of Florida—who is now campaigning for the job again—relives the fateful embrace with President Obama that he claims sunk his political fortunes in 2009. Rather than try for style, Crist renders the moment with the racy, staccato gusto that one might expect from a pulpy romance. “We shook hands. The new president leaned forward and gave me a hug.
