Is it too late to go back to college?! Rutgers University is offering a course on Beyoncé at the school´s Department of Women´s and Gender Studies. The class, which is called "Feminist Perspectives: Politicizing Beyoncé," is being offered during the Spring semester at the college. Queen Bey 101 is taught by PhD candidate Kevin Allred, who explained to the Rutgers Today newspaper exactly what students can expect from the class. "This isn´t a course about Beyoncé´s political engagement or how many times she performed during President Obama´s inauguration weekend," he said.

Comments:
And you folks thought college was a waste. Ha! /s off/

I am willing to bet that classes like this are not taught in China or any other country that views itself as being in competition with the United States.

And a person who takes this class will whine about how unfair the system is when she can´t find a job after college.

Note that I am presuming that no male would take a class like this...unless he watches the TV show Glee.

Spring´s thaw is reviving the economy, too. A recent batch of government and business reports show a U.S. economy emerging from winter´s deep freeze. Economists had expected the growth to accelerate in 2014 after two years of slow and steady improvement. But an unusually bitter winter sent factories, hiring and consumer spending into hibernation. Now, as temperatures rise, the economy is regaining momentum. (Snip) Shopping has also recovered along with temperatures. Total U.S. retail sales rose last month by 1.1 percent, led by purchases of autos and furniture. Consumers account for about 70 percent of all economic activity, making them

The piece came just days after a 73-year-old white supremacist and veteran, Frazier Glenn Miller, was arrested in an attack that killed three people at a Jewish center in Overland Park, Kansas. In the column, op-ed contributor Kathleen Belew writes: In 2009, the Department of Homeland Security issued a nine-page report detailing the threat of domestic terrorism by the white power movement. Russia and Ukraine struck a deal Thursday to end unrest in eastern Ukraine stoked by pro-Russian militants, Secretary of State John Kerry said. The militants must refrain from violence, lay down their illegal weapons and return seized buildings to their rightful owners, Kerry said. In return, Ukraine agreed to offer amnesty to protesters who had not committed capital crimes. Kerry called the agreement “a good day’s work,” but warned that the United States would impose further sanctions on Russia if it didn’t see progress soon. “None of us leave here with the sense that the job is done because the
