NBC: GOP Inviting ´Duck Dynasty´ Star

During NBC´s live State of the Union coverage Tuesday night, chief White House correspondent Chuck Todd sneered at Duck Dynasty star Willie Robertson being a Republican guest at the event: "...after the shooting with Gabby Giffords and for a couple of State of the Unions in a row....There was more of a dignified feeling about the guests that you would invite. Boy, you can tell things are a lot different now, when you´re inviting Duck Dynasty stars. Everybody´s trying to make a partisan political point." Didn´t hear any complaints about the trash the Obama´s invited to party with them last weekend. If Obama does not respect the office, why should anyone respect him. I thought it was wonderful seeing an all-American Christian family represented at the speech. Obama has said that Duck Dynasty is the one show he allows his girls to watch.

He certainly was not invited as a "person", but as a ploy.

Personally, having William Robertson at the SOTU was perfect irony. The Dumbler had to look at his long flowing gray beard through the hole 63 minutes. Stinky knew full well he was lying again and that the peoples´ friend, Mr. Robertson, represented all Americans calling him a LIAR. Thank you Mr. Robertson for attending the SOTU, it is appreciated.

Stinky could barely make eye contact with Willie, and never made eye contact with his TV audience.

What a Maroon the Dumbler and his staff are.

http://www.lucianne.com/thread/?artnum=770231

Then, I see this headline about Chuck Todd saying Willie Robertson isn´t dignified enough to be a guest at the SOTU address!

Are you kidding me??? Well, no, I see that you are not -

FTA: The networks thoroughly denounced Robertson´s father and fellow Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson after he expressed his religious opposition to homosexuality.

Phil Robertson was quoting the Bible (which "expresses its religious opposition to homosexuality"). The Robertsons are Christians. Willie is way too dignified for the likes of Chuck Todd and those he admires who were putting on that SOTU "show", if you ask me.

Secretary of State John Kerry evidently runs a tight ship, given the paucity of leaks that emerge from his office. So we know he is organized and disciplined. He is also an energetic risk-taker, jumping into high-wire negotiations with Iran, and forcing the Israelis and Palestinians to the negotiating table -- enterprises that could likely end in failure and ruin his reputation. This is a man with character. By contrast, his predecessor at State, Hillary Clinton, appeared to take few risks and has been accused of using the position of secretary of state merely to burnish her resume in preparation

Richard Mack told radio host Steve Deace that Bundy took a stand against the government “trying to make sure other peasants don’t rise up with their pitchforks” and said this moment is exactly like “Rosa Parks refusing to get to the back of the bus.” When Deace brought up the “just following orders” justification that

Crimea is in Moscow’s hands. Some of Kiev’s army has surrendered parts of eastern Ukraine without a fight. And now there are signs that Russian President Vladimir Putin may have picked his next targets: First a small breakaway state in Moldova, west of Ukraine, where thousands of Moscow’s troops are already stationed; then its close neighbor Odessa, Ukraine’s third-largest city and its largest remaining port, where pro-Russian and pro-government groups are tangling. If forces loyal to Putin can successfully disrupt Odessa, it could effectively cut the county of Ukraine in two.

New York City’s welfare system is managed out of a boxy 25-story office building on Water Street in Lower Manhattan. Approximately 5,000 employees work there, directing government programs that provide billions of dollars of taxpayer-funded assistance to the poor and near-poor. A solid majority of the workers at 180 Water Street are African-American or Latino; their voter registration is almost certainly overwhelmingly Democratic; and all but about 300 of them are union members. But from 1995 until this past December, the people who worked in New York’s principal social-services agency were leading one of the most conservative and successful welfare

I am not a fan of the sitcom Rev, which depicts a vicar trying to be kind to his parishioners – with hilarious consequences. His congregation is small, full of delinquents, and the eponymous clergymen is often driven to drink by their unholy antics. Justin Welby disagrees with the show’s depiction of Anglican life because he notes that many churches are growing. The Rev’s, by contrast, conforms to a self-lacerating vision of Christianity as nice but niche. But self-laceration is the stock-in-trade of the

Two white adults divided the toys, one equally and the other unequally. Seventy per cent of the toddlers chose to play with the researcher who distributed the toys fairly. But in a second test, when one researcher favoured a white recipient over an Asian one, they picked the ‘fair’ researcher less often, the journal Frontiers in Psychology reports. How do you ensure that you won’t be ostracized, denounced, or fired if you are a media celebrity, captain of industry, or high public official? For some, sexist banter is certainly no problem. Stand-up comedian Bill Maher called Sarah Palin a c–t and a tw-t, but suffered no ill consequences. David Letterman joked on air that Sarah Palin’s 14-year-old daughter had had sex with Alex Rodriguez during a New York Yankees game. There was no downside to that either.
