Sen. Tammy Baldwin: Birth Control
´Basic to Our Economic Prosperity´

Cybercast News Service, by Susan Jones

Original Article

Sen. Tammy Baldwin (D-Wis.) says it was women joining the workforce after World War II that helped the economy grow, producing a "strong and healthy middle class." And that continues to be the case today, she told MSNBC´s Andrea Mitchell on Monday. "And now, in very, very significant numbers, women are...a part of the workforce and have contributed greatly to allowing families to get ahead in the economy. What permits that is women being able to control when or whether they have children and how many. And it is so basic to our economic prosperity that women have that control." Baldwin made

Comments:
We are doomed as long as we have insane radical morons like this in Washington.

There is a huge difference between birth control and killing viable children inside the womb for convenience. She knows it.

Yes, it is very important that women stay in the work force and farm their children out to the state, because the government needs the tax money and needs to keep their day care centers full. Don´t you wonder why your elders grew up in an era where one salary could support a household? And, why it was necessary to have women go to work....yes, it is the need for more tax money to keep the ever growing government afloat.

So why are we encouraging young Roman Catholic immigrants? This is not knocking Catholics, I´m saying the young blue-collar Hispanic males I see have with them two or three children and a pregnant wife. I often see them pay with benefit cards or cash. That´s helping our economic prosperity? Single males tend to send a good portion of their money back to Mexico.

Funny--on the old liberal Dukie neighborhood listserv, I often see recommendations (or requests) for Hispanic nannies, house cleaners, workmen of various kinds, especially for yard work and landscaping. I´m almost 100% certain these workers are paid under the table, thus no taxes are going to Uncle Sam to pay for their benefits.

Always the left to focus on women and their birth control, lets reevaluate the situation, why is it that this right to coverage excludes condoms and vasectomies for men? Is it because when packaged for public debate, it looks stupid to include condoms? Well it does, and so does birth control pills and contraceptives and finally abortions. If women don´t want to get pregnant then don´t engage in sex, or learn about your menstrual clock and learn some basic math skills......that cost nothing, and since the left has long reached into public education to include health/sex education this birth control cost was long ago paid for....stop making me pay twice!

´Sen. Tammy Baldwin (D-Wis.) says it was women joining the workforce after World War II that helped the economy grow, producing a "strong and healthy middle class." ´

What helped the economy grow was this fact that the rest the world was in ruins.

America when from the "Arsenal of Democracy"
to the "Vendor of Democracy".

Women entering the workforce is why we have to have two income households.

Simple economics -
the more of something available - labor,
whether through immigration or
previously stay at home moms,
the less it costs.

Women entering the workforce has had serious detrimental effects
on labor wage levels, (see income inequality)
the culture, (see twerking)
and obviously - politics. (see Sen. Tammy Baldwin)

There is always a neanderthal or two on the sidelines...(10??) Whether you like it or not, a lot of women HAVE TO WORK. Women who do not want to get married need to work anyway. How the heck are we supposed to survive otherwise? That doesn´t mean I agree with this ditz, Baldwin. Birth control is fine...if you are talking about abstinence, condoms or even Ortho-Novum. But abortion is NOT birth control--nor should it ever be used as such! Also, birth control is fine but don´t ask taxpayers to buy it for you. It is affordable to anyone who has the capacity to buy food, a soda, a candy bar or any other small item. Don´t give me that Sandra Fluke garbage. Anyone can afford it and if you can´t, ABSTAIN!!

the estimated number of aborted babies -[ I refuse to call them fetuses -so demeaning to life]had they been protected and allowed to be born alive would have made a vibrant workforce that has no need for illegal labor reinforcement. These women, who chose to kill their babies, are haunted by this terrible memory for the rest of their lives.

This is outrageously stupid.
The "women entering the workforce after WWII that helped the economy grow" did so WITHOUT ABORTIONS, which were only legalized 25 years later.
The 50-million aborted babies since 1970 would be contributing members of our society today, paying taxes, paying social security, creating economic growth. Likely if Roe v. Wade had been ruled in accordance with the constitution, social security would be solvent today.

Women joined the work force in WWII and they managed to build a war machine that defeated Fascism. They did this without needing abortions. Availability to abortion on demand has encouraged unprotected sex, promiscuity and rampant STD´s in our society.

It´s just one reason why today´s news that the liberal host of The Colbert Report will take over for David Letterman on The Late Show smacks of culture, not show business pragmatism. Late night hosts must appeal to a wide audience. So poaching a comedian from the niche-friendly world of cable television makes little sense, particularly a figure with a hard-partisan persona. Solar power has won the global argument. Photovoltaic energy is already so cheap that it competes with oil, diesel and liquefied natural gas in much of Asia without subsidies.
