Obama tries to reach past TV
to touch diminished audience
with State of Union

Washington Times, by Stephen Dinan

President Obama has been losing his TV audience — literally. With the State of the Union proving ever less entrancing for viewers, the White House is desperate to turn the speech into a multiday event in an effort to bolster interest in Mr. Obama’s policies, even if people don’t tune in to hear his words. With online question-and-answer sessions, a “virtual road trip” scheduled for Friday and a presidential video, the White House is determined to spread Mr. Obama’s message beyond Tuesday night’s hourlong address. “Literally, the conversation never ends,” said Lee Rainie, director of the Pew Research Center’s Internet

Prior to, and including bam´s first SOTU event, I used to watch them every year, even when a (D) POTUS gave it. President Ronald Reagan was, IMO, the best.
The current clown in chief has so sullied the event and its importance, that I no longer can tolerate it. The whole atmosphere in that building has been made foul by his partisanship and progressive ideology.

The audience is diminished for a reason, that being that the speaker is a proven liar from start to finish. Maybe he should try to increase his audience by passing out interactive, megabuck, "Loot the Treasury" BS Bingo cards.

I haven´t watched any TV news - Fox or msm since. I get all the truth I need right here. It will be "just words" just a pack of lies like everything he says.

“No matter how you watch, we have a version that fits your experience,” the White House said in its email.

No you don´t, you miserable little wad of puerile prevaricators.

I´ve said this before, and I´ll say it again a thousand times. stinky is not welcome in my home. Not on my television, not on a magazine cover, not in my car, truck or home radio; nowhere.

I don´t much care for bacteria, either.

stinky is clueless as to the "state of the Union," unlike many of us. I disagree with those who claim he´s some sort of alinsky genius who is brilliantly running his evil James Bondish scheme. he´s an organ grinder monkey, and nothing more. Nothing more. stinky is a oscitant tool; better to pay attention to the organ grinders who are jerking his chain.

his stupid little speech means nothing.

Obama makes one wish our next President to be more like President Coolidge - often called "Silent Cal". The story of why he was called "Silent Cal" is quite cute and gives me a good laugh. Here it is from Wikipedia:

Coolidge was famous for saying only what was absolutely necessary. He was unfriendly to the press, and often declined interviews, which is one of the reasons he is not one of America´s commonly heard of presidents. At one instance, a reporter informed the president that she had a bet with a friend of hers that she can get him to say more than two words in an interview, and Coolidge just looked at her, said "You lose" and walked away.
Maybe some day America will again be blessed by such a man.

Obama is so narcissistic that he is in love with the sound of his own voice/and appearance. Maybe he will eventually end up like the mythological character Narcissus, who was renowned for his beauty. He was exceptionally proud, so much so that he thought those who loved him were unworthy.
As divine punishment he fell in love with his own reflection in a pool, not realizing it was merely an image, and he wasted away to death, not being able to leave the beauty of his own reflection.*

My favourite moments from Dear Leader´s SOTU speech tonight were when the teleprompter broke down and he had to wing it:

"...and uh, uh, let me be clear, Karl Marx had many good, uh, points.."
"..and how ´bout that Beyonce? Yowza! Ya, know, she and I have this little thing..."
"...I don´t hate Republicans, I just want to liquidate them, haha!"
"...feels like I´m standing on an altar and ya´ll are worshipping me. Hey, you are!"
"...who said I didn´t understand socialism? Sure I understand socialism, all we Democrats do. What do you knuckledraggers think we´re fighting for, anyway?"
"..and for my next trick, I now declare pot legal in DC, especially the White House"
"...and like I told the UN, the future must not - let me be clear, must not - belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam. Peace be upon me."
"...and sitting over there on the Left are my good buddies Bill Ayers, Van Jones and Rev Wright. Hi guys! and uh, down with the USA!"

We have Michelle Obama sitting in the Royal Box like a queen;
legislators jumping up and down like toads worshipping the joke of a president; victims of this and victims of that promoting a political stance will be honored; human examples to inspire our great leader will be on hand even the homo basketball player; this spectacle is a fraud with one lie after another perpetrated on the American people.
What joke!!!!!!!

Better, for health, not to watch this avalanche of lies !
Rush, Dennis Prager, Larry Elder, Mark Levin, depending on when you´re driving your car, can critically retell all you will ever need to know, and with much less pain.
Barry is only the Fop Medicine Man in all the old wonderful western movies. The medicine pitchman at the carnival, who is only talking to the dumbest people in the crowd, only the most stupid who will buy his magic elixir in the little bottle with the fake label.
Yeah, that´s Barry, directing his TelePrompTer garbage
to the most ignorant, beer soaked in the diminishing audience. And all he talks about is agitation to annoy and anger the dumbest. Nobody has spoken to the ignorant like this since Caesar Chavez brilliantly addressed the farm workers, who´d never had anyone talk right directly to them. Barry, the commie agitator.

I want to make a point. Do you know what is happening in Ukraine right now? The Ukrainians walked to the streets (in bitter cold, btw) to protest the policies of the government. And it wasn´t that much of the policy change. We, here in America, are silently guzzling the transformation of the country. Leftist clique already silenced the media, entertainment, Wall Street, Healthcare industry... We are losing our freedoms and prosperity at a staggering pace. And not a peep from American people! Does it prove the point that we deserve this gov´t? Imo, it does!

It so ticks me off that we like proverbial lambs are waiting what obozo will unveil today so tomorrow we can hear about it on Mark´s show! And what? Nothing! And I am talking about 2-3-5 million "conservatives", the most politically active people in the country. The rest of the populus - the low info people, they will not pay attention to it at all. No, I stay corrected: they will be fed the fascist/commie propaganda by local newspapers (reprinting the nyt and wapo) and alphabet TV channels. With all the morning schmoes cooing about the incredible wisdom and selfless bravery of our beloved Fuehrer!

I can still remember the year I accidentally tuned into the SOTU and became mesmerized by Pelosi Galore twitching in anticipation and jumping to her feet every third word, clapping like a trained seal flapping its flippers for another mackerel.

That´s the same evening I learned to appreciate the ROFLMOA abbreviation we all use everyday. I kept waiting for her to turn around so I could see if she had one of those crank handles in her back like the jack-in-the-box I had as a child.

The SOTU circus just won´t be the same without that old crone behind the pResident. It is totally incredible that a grown woman can stumble her way to the Speakers Chair while being that stupid.

Long-term unemployed struggle
to find — and keep — jobs

For the long-term unemployed, finding a job is hard — but keeping one may be even harder. New research tracking people who have been out of work for six months or longer found that 23 percent of them landed a job within a few months of the study. But a year later, more than a third of that group was unemployed again or out of the labor force altogether. The findings are the latest in a bleak but growing body of literature suggesting long-term unemployment has become a trap that is difficult to escape. Economists say that means the long-term unemployed could become a permanent underclass, left behind by the nation’s broader

Social Security stops trying

The Social Security Administration announced Monday that it will immediately cease efforts to collect on taxpayers’ debts to the government that are more than 10 years old. The action comes after The Washington Post reported that the government was seizing state and federal tax refunds that were on their way to about 400,000 Americans who had relatives who owed money to Social Security. In many cases, the people whose refunds were intercepted had never heard of any debt, and the debts dated as far back as the middle of the past century. “I have directed an immediate halt to further

Despite promises to the contrary, it appears that State Senator Wendy Davis (D-Fort Worth) voted on bills that affect her clients and favorably impact the bottom line of her law firm. “I have never done anything in a way that represents a conflict in my voting and something that would benefit me personally,” she said in an interview, but state records seem to tell a different story. The Dallas Morning News´ Senior Political Writer Wayne Slater (DMN) reported that Davis supported legislation governing a toll road project. That would be all well and good except for the fact that the

Democrats Lose Two More Special

Democrats have had a recurring problem in special elections this year: Their voters aren’t turning out. If a weak economy and continued Obamacare problems persist, the November elections could be a disaster for Democrats. Last week, Democrats lost two special elections they weren’t planning to. Arlington, Va., is a classic wealthy ObamaTown, filled with government workers and limousine liberals. Mitt Romney won only 29 percent of the vote in 2012. But last Tuesday, Democrats lost their first election for the five-member Arlington County Board in 15 years when John Vihstadt, a Republican running as an independent, won a vacancy on

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said little as federal agents seized and then released cattle last week from the Bundy ranch, but there is little doubt that the highly charged episode was threatening to become a political headache for the Nevada Democrat. The Bureau of Land Management is headed by former longtime Reid aide Neil Kornze, who was confirmed by the Senate as BLM director on Tuesday, just as federal authorities descended on the cattle ranch outside Mesquite, Nev. Mr. Kornze issued a statement Saturday saying that the bureau would return the cattle and withdraw its agents from the ranch

On the defensive about their prospects in the midterm elections this fall, congressional Democrats have spent all of April savaging the Republican budget proposal, decrying the Koch brothers and championing a series of bills meant to ingratiate themselves to struggling middle-class voters. In promoting legislation that would extend unemployment benefits, increase the minimum wage and promote equal pay for women, the Democrats have declared themselves the party that will ensure a “fair shot” for all. Republicans, they insist, are the party of special interests. It has been a classic Washington messaging campaign for these partisan

On a trip to Moscow early in her tenure as secretary of state, Hillary Rodham Clinton played the role of international saleswoman, pressing Russian government officials to sign a multibillion-dollar deal to buy dozens of aircraft from Boeing. A month later, Clinton was in China, where she jubilantly announced that the aerospace giant would be writing a generous check to help resuscitate floundering U.S. efforts to host a pavilion at the upcoming World’s Fair. Boeing, she said, “has just agreed to double its contribution to $2 million.” Clinton did not point out that, to secure the donation, the State Department

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin blasted President Barack Obama for nominating as his new Health and Human Services Secretary the same woman who ordered the shutdown of the war memorials during the so-called government shutdown last year. After accepting Kathleen Sebelius´ resignation Friday, Obama nominated Sylvia Burwell, the former Office of Management and Budget director. This is the same person who sent the email initiating the barricading of the memorials, even as veterans were arriving in D.C. on their "honor flights" to see the memorials that they built. Following the massacre of grammar-school children in Newtown, Conn., in December 2012, high-powered weapons have been used to kill innocent victims in more senseless public incidents. Those killings, however, are only a fragment of the total harm caused by the misuse of firearms. Each year, more than 30,000 people die in the United States in firearm-related incidents. Many of those deaths involve handguns. The adoption of rules that will lessen the number of those incidents should be a matter of primary concern to both federal and state legislators. Legislatures are in a far better position than judges to assess the

The Obama administration said Friday that it would block Iran’s nominee as ambassador to the United Nations from entering the United States, setting up a new confrontation with Tehran just as relations with the Islamic republic appeared to be improving. The decision to bar entry to the diplomat, who was allegedly involved in the 1979 seizure of the U.S. Embassy in Tehran, followed intense political pressure on the administration from Republicans and Democrats on Capitol Hill. But it also marked a rare instance in which Washington has effectively vetoed another country’s preferred choice as envoy to the United Nations. Iran

Struggling homeowners across the country could face significant new tax bills if they receive mortgage relief from their banks, a prospect that threatens to slow the housing recovery and put further strain on distressed borrowers. The collapse of the housing market and plunging home prices left millions of people stuck owing more on their mortgages than their homes were worth. Some have worked with their banks to reduce the loan amount to avoid foreclosure or enable a sale. In 2007, Congress adopted a law that spared those homeowners from being taxed on the amount of the loan that was forgiven. But

President Obama addressed the White House press corps today, announcing that with the final numbers in, Obamacare´s exchanges have attracted eight million sign-ups -- 35 percent of whom are "under the age of 35," he said. Several elements of his comments were misleading: (1) At first blush, the 35 percent stat is both significant and impressive. As recently as last month, the share of "young invincibles" signing up for plans was struggling in the 25 percent range, far short of the actuarial target of nearly 40 percent. A leap into the mid-30´s, while still shy of the goal, would constitute a major step, and would bode well for the risk pools'

When it comes to tracking the cost of Obama family vacations, there are two primary challenges. First, the Obamas are prolific jet-setters, so there are many details to track. Second, the Obama administration, clearly embarrassed by these lavish and frequent family vacations, stonewalls the release of records at every turn. But we have been relentless in pursuit of this information. Our attorneys file the lawsuits and make our case, and our investigators pour through pages of records and crunch the numbers. And the information we’ve uncovered – information that would otherwise remain under lock and key – shows that the

To "honor the dignity and work of immigrants," Democratic House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi helps Bishop Marc Andrus wash the feet of two children Thursday at Saint John the Evangelist Episcopal Church in San Francisco. Pelosi also used the occasion to talk about passing HR15 - bipartisan immigration legislation that her office says would "reduce the deficit by nearly $1 trillion, secure our borders, unite our families, protect our workers and provide an earned pathway to citizenship." Imagine a vendor on the National Mall, selling burgers and dogs, who hasn’t paid his rent in 20 years. He refuses to recognize his landlord, the National Park Service, as a legitimate authority. Every court has ruled against him, and fines have piled up. What’s more, the effluents from his food cart are having a detrimental effect on the spring grass in the capital. First, the good news: We are close enough to the end of the Obama presidency for his crowd to talk about a presidential library. Now, the bad news: Obama´s retirement is still 1,008 days distant. Plenty of time though to round up the dough to build it somewhere. Figure they need Solyndra-style money, at least $500 million. The last two presidents – Bill Clinton and George W. Bush -- built their legacy edifices totally with private money. [Snip] However, Obama supporters have a different take. They think taxpayers should put up $100 million in public money for Obama´s library.

Remember when Lois Lerner, in answering a planted question at an American Bar Association conference, admitted the IRS had targeted conservative groups but tried to pass it off as the work of rogue agents — “our line people in Cincinnati”? Today we know there were indeed federal agents involved. But they weren’t rogue, and they weren’t confined to IRS workers in Cincinnati. Thanks to a Freedom of Information request by Judicial Watch, we now have an e-mail Lerner sent to colleagues noting the Department of Justice was looking into criminal prosecutions of these tax-exempt groups. We know something else, too. These investigations
