Get ready for an immigration
fight the public doesn´t want

Washington Examiner, by Byron York

Just a few weeks ago, a State of the Union call for immigration reform would have seemed an exercise in futility. But now, President Obama, who Tuesday night will urge the House to pass new legislation, might have at least an outside chance of getting what he wants. Immigration reform is back. Left for dead countless times in recent months, the effort to overhaul the nation´s immigration system -- and deal with the estimated 12 million immigrants now in the country illegally -- is again on the priority list for Speaker John Boehner and House GOP lawmakers. But there´s a problem,

Since these politicians are so driven by polls, have they bothered to look at how low this ranks in what Americans want??

The problem is that Americans don´t want immigration reform. They want the laws enforced!

But why should the RINO´s give a rats patoot what we think. We just pay their salaries!

I get worn out by the constant need to object to Boehner and other republicans for their actions or in actions! I had a quota of 10 contacts during the election...then 5...and now, I want to live my life.

It is bad enough that we have to be alert to and fear obama and his czars and agencies, but to not trust members of our own party to FIGHT for us and to Listen to us is outrageous.

It looks like Omaha, Schumer, and crew are about to use a proposed big amnesty to split the Republicans before the 2014 election, and that a bunch of establishment big business oriented Republicans are going to facilitate that in their quest to in-source a massive flood of cheap foreign labor into the legal US job market, where they would legally be able to compete with American workers for just about every scarce job out there. That is certainly not good for the average American worker who is bound to suffer more wage depression in the years to come, as both millions of legalized aliens and tens of millions of new foreign workers enter the legal US labor market.

Note to the Maroon John Boehner, only 3 percent of registered GOP voters want immigration reform.

Take this idiotic cause up and lose the opportunity for a 2014 House and Senate majority.

We need new leadership in the House, Fire John Boehner.

Byron York has been thumping on this drum for quite a while. It´s as if he runs out of ideas and then remembers he can always write another grab-your-money-and-your-babies-because-the-illegals-are-coming column. Yes, there will be some minor tinkering with the immigration laws, but no, there is not going to be a big fight over legalization or anything approaching "amnesty" (which is the Chicken-Little term) because after November, we will have new House members and new Senators and the priority isn´t going to be a ruinous fight over major changes in immigration law.

It doesn´t matter what we want anymore. The democrats and RINO´s want "we the people" taken out of the equation for good. They are tired of having to listen to us and work for our votes. We´d better shake things up this November or I´m afraid we won´t get another chance. It may be too late already, but we have to try.

I guess those long time Republican senators are more worried about being shunned at the Washington political parties, than being relegated to the minority party forever. They will probably just switch parties and continue to party in Washington.

Dealing with illegal aliens is not an "immigration" issue. It´s a massive law enforcement issue. As for the 11 to 12 million illegals figure we have been hearing from the goobermint for years---that´s probably closer to the number of illegal aliens presently "occupying" the State of California!

92 million Americans are without work and yet the Republicans NOW, at this time, want to legalize millions to appease the Chamber of Commerce? Tell me how this makes sense to the citizens of this country. Do WE mean nothing? Does OUR future, OUR children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren mean nothing? Is OUR birthright so meaningless that they would sell it for votes, greed, and power? I am weary of the daily struggle to convince myself that MY party has not turned its back its constituents. However, by their actions, I can only conclude that they are filled with contempt for us. I wish voting them out was a viable solution. Unfortunately, they intend to do their dirty deeds before we get the chance.

"Establishment Republicans" are paying off the Chamber of Commerce, In exchange for cheap labour the Chamber will provide funds to fight off conservative primary challengers. The Republican party is not and never has been a conservative party, it is the party of "crony capitalists", they see this as an opportunity to rid themselves of the Reagan influence thinking things are so bad now that they will win in 2014 and 2016 without their conservative grass roots base.

For the Republicans, to address the immigration issue right before mid-term elections is madness. Legal Americans, by a huge magin, don´t consider it to be a major issue. It is though Boeneher is receiving his orders from the Regime and he will be coordinating the disaster with the msm.

The Republicans have a good chance to win the senate and increase the majority in the house, if we don´t give the msm a big issue to take the focus off Obie´s failures and concentrate on the bad tea party, evangelical conservatives....day and night. I thought this was the reason the House gave in going along with the 1.1trillion dollar spending bill...so not to give the enemy ammunition. Madness I tell you.

If we don´t speak up, they are going to cram this down our throats.

When you call Boehner´s office also inquire what it is that Obama has on him that keeps him from calling a Select Committee on Benghazi. 181 GOP House members have asked Boehner to do this, but he refuses. Why?

Don´t ever call it amnesty unless you are a Boehner RINO TRAITOR
It´s a massively deceptive Catholic membership drive to control socialist communist voting forever.
It´s one more irreversible garbage demo commie law, once passed, these thirty million aliens will be able to hire lawyers and sue America for anything they please.
This disastrous idea includes the millions in prison, all those in violent drug running gangs, the millions who live in Latin enclaves, like the Muslims, whowill not learn to speak, or read English, like the Muslims, for that matter.
It includes millions who have churned out as many babies as is Catholically possible, ALL of whom already HAVE FULL CITIZENSHIP..How many millions of those do we have already?
This proposed mass of legalized laborers will become the tool of a new virtual government controlled and demanding labor union. They will demand rights you´ve never dreamed of. They will further destroy our already weakened low end minimum wage job system.
Legalizing illegals will become the government´s biggest most harmful nightmare of all previous nightmares.
It´s the dream of all of Washington´s Communists !
It is the essence of PLANNED CHAOS !
Byron York is the perfect example of a soft communist, posing as a RINO-like republocrat, and hanging around
annoyingly found in conservative circles, like FoxNews TV. Byron´s not an obvious commie giveaway, like Bob Beckel, Alan Colmes and Juan. He´s destructive nevertheless.

The conservative way of protesting is to call our congressman and complain, then go back to work to pay taxes that support a communist regime. Conservatives really feel this is ´doing their part´ to get what we want. The left will do what ever is necessary to get their agenda passed, either legal or illegal and will never stop until they win. We will not win on any agenda when the left is willing to take things a lot further than the right is.

There can be only one true reason for any Republican to write or vote for legislation granting people here illegally citizenship or the sop word amnesty, and that is to secure the Latino vote in elections.

Why are you sticking it to legal citizens and legal immigrants who waited in line and supporting criminals. That isn´t why you were sent to DC, you were voted into office to represent American Citizens, not foreigners.

That is a cowardly and traitorous route for any politician to take because your job is to legally round them up and send them home along with sealing our borders. Do your job, quit begging for support from criminals.

The GOP is on a suicide mission and I for one will be happy to help them along in the next election. We know Democrats are traitors and now we have fellow travelers.

Beyond the Republicans who appear ready to commit long term political suicide by granting some sort of legal immigration status to masses of illegal aliens, who once eligible would almost all become liberal Democrat voters, Obama has to be the most confused President in the history of the USA, on one hand he is speaking out about income inequality between the average American and the rich who he refers to as the one percent, and on the other hand he is calling for a massive amnesty for illegal aliens and what amounts to an "open borders" immigration policy on into the future, that would allow tens of millions of new foreign workers to enter the USA and compete against American workers for any scarce job across the entire US economy.

When you factor in the law of supply and demand in the labor market, along with the flooding of that labor market with what amounts to cheap foreign labor, the result is bound to be more income inequality throughout the USA, and not less, as employers move to hire the lower cost foreign workers over higher wage earning US workers.

Clearly Obama´s economic policies are doing a lot of damage to the average American worker and you have to wonder if that is not being done on purpose.

Researchers at Princeton and Northwestern universities have pored over 1,800 US policies and concluded that America is an oligarchy. But the government is not the only American power whose motivations need to be rigourously examined. Some 2,400 miles away from Washington, in Silicon Valley, Google is aggressively gaining power with little to keep it in check. Several elements of his comments were misleading: (1) At first blush, the 35 percent stat is both significant and impressive. As recently as last month, the share of "young invincibles" signing up for plans was struggling in the 25 percent range, far short of the actuarial target of nearly 40 percent. To "honor the dignity and work of immigrants," Democratic House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi helps Bishop Marc Andrus wash the feet of two children Thursday at Saint John the Evangelist Episcopal Church in San Francisco. Pelosi also used the occasion to talk about passing HR15 - bipartisan immigration legislation that her office says would "reduce the deficit by nearly $1 trillion, secure our borders, unite our families, protect our workers and provide an earned pathway to citizenship." The Democratic leader´s ceremony coincides with Pope Francis´ similar ceremony in Rome to mark Holy Week.

Imagine a vendor on the National Mall, selling burgers and dogs, who hasn’t paid his rent in 20 years. He refuses to recognize his landlord, the National Park Service, as a legitimate authority. Every court has ruled against him, and fines have piled up. What’s more, the effluents from his food cart are having a detrimental effect on the spring grass in the capital. Would an armed posse come to his defense, aiming their guns at the park police? Would the lawbreaker get prime airtime on Fox News, breathless updates in the Drudge Report, a sympathetic ear from Tea Party Republicans?

First, the good news: We are close enough to the end of the Obama presidency for his crowd to talk about a presidential library. Now, the bad news: Obama´s retirement is still 1,008 days distant. Plenty of time though to round up the dough to build it somewhere. Figure they need Solyndra-style money, at least $500 million. The last two presidents – Bill Clinton and George W. Bush -- built their legacy edifices totally with private money. [Snip] However, Obama supporters have a different take. They think taxpayers should put up $100 million in public money for Obama´s library.

Less than 16 hours after Chelsea Clinton announced she was pregnant, a lot of major news outlets started staring into the crystal ball of Chelsea’s womb, wondering what this currently floating zygotic multicellular being meant for the prospects of Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign, which is also a floating, zygotic, multicellular being. Their answer: The immaculately conceived Clinton child could mean everything. And no, it’s not just the fact that having a grandchild could be personally fulfilling to Hillary and Bill (mazel tov, by the way), or that a cute baby would be a sweet cherry on top of Hillary’s already

The first step is admitting… It was a simple question to someone accustomed to much tougher ones: What was her proudest achievement as secretary of state? But for a moment, Hillary Rodham Clinton, appearing recently before a friendly audience at a women’s forum in Manhattan, seemed flustered.(Snip)So…no definitive successes and some clear-cut failures. And that’s the generous New York Times assessment. The Democrat fantasy story about Mrs. Clinton paints her as strong and accomplished on her own. In reality, this is a woman who is professionally defined almost entirely by two men in her life, both of whom happen to have

Remember when Lois Lerner, in answering a planted question at an American Bar Association conference, admitted the IRS had targeted conservative groups but tried to pass it off as the work of rogue agents — “our line people in Cincinnati”? Today we know there were indeed federal agents involved. But they weren’t rogue, and they weren’t confined to IRS workers in Cincinnati. Thanks to a Freedom of Information request by Judicial Watch, we now have an e-mail Lerner sent to colleagues noting the Department of Justice was looking into criminal prosecutions of these tax-exempt groups. We know something else, too. These investigations
