In Speech to Congress, Obama
To Talk of Ignoring Them

New York Daily News, by Dan Friedman

Original Article

Posted By:NorthernDog, 1/26/2014 5:57:50 PM

President Obama will be addressing Congress Tuesday in his State of the Union speech, but much of his speech will include plans to bypass them, White House officials said Sunday. "We need to assure to the American people that we can get something done, either through Congress or on our own, White House Senior Adviser Dan Pfeiffer said on CNN. “If Congress doesn’t act, the president will,” Pfeiffer said in a separate appearance on Fox News. (Snip) "It sounds vaguely like a threat, and I think it also has a certain amount of arrogance,” said Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.).

I am interested to see which Justices attend.
I hope Hannity has a prominent seat as Gohmert´s guest. Oh how I would love to see Mark Levin and Rush sitting there too.

He can say anything he wishes, but the rubber will meet the road when he actually goes around the Congress and attempts to implement his very liberal and unpopular programs in an unconstitutional manner.

Just a reminder and public announcement he will indeed commit unconstitutional acts. Perhaps he can be arrested for conspiracy to commit unlawful acts by announcing a sudden, and illegal seizure of power from the Congress and committing a Presidential coup d´etat.

Desperately watching his power slip away, he is going further and further toward the edge.

He is proposing taking governance of the country away from the people´s locally elected representatives and placing it in the control of just himself and his White House henchpersons.

But nothing will happen because he is black.

Time for Boehner and the GOP House to grow some stones and tighten up the purse strings. Zippy can rant and rave all he wants about executive action, but he still has to pay for all his foofraw, and only Congress, and more specifically the House, can prvide the funds.

Right on #1. A smart decision by Rep. Gohmert. If others had as much sense, they would have invited Franklin Graham, Sarah, and pro-life advocates. If a number of Senators and Representstives would have worked together on this, what a statement it would have made!

The radical authoritarian Left has never been big on representative democracy, checks and balances, divided government and all that stuff.

It is just a pain in the behind to have to jump through all those hoops, when you already know what needs to be done and how to do it.

Proletarian False Consciousness. The workers do not know what is in their own best interest. Left to themselves they frequently make the wrong choices. They listen to talk radio, Fox News - and they are pawns and dupes of the Koch Brothers.

This is why the Party vanguard, the intellectuals who know the score, just need to assume control of the government and make all the decisions until the workers are educated to their own interests.

The way it works: Obama issues an illegal executive order. As soon as it works well enough that someone is harmed by it, they have standing and then they file a legal action against it. A judge issues an injunction prohibiting implementation and things go back to what they were before while the case works its way up to the SCOTUS, a three year process. The whole thing is ridiculous.

“On the third day, he rose again.” That line, from the Nicene Creed, is a foundational statement of Christian belief. It declares that three days after Jesus died on the cross, he was resurrected, a glimmer of the eternal life promised to believers. It’s the heart of the Easter story in seven little words. But how that statement is interpreted is the source of some of the deepest rifts in Christianity — and a stumbling block for some Christians, and more than a few skeptics. Did Jesus literally come back from the dead in a bodily resurrection, as many traditionalist

´8THEIST´ license plate in NJ: Why

If you can get a New Jersey vanity license plate that reads “BAPTIST,” why not one that reads “8THEIST”? That’s the question Shannon Morgan, a self-describe atheist, is asking in a lawsuit after the New Jersey department of motor vehicles denied her vanity plate application. Her main complaint is a bureaucracy deeming that “8THEIST” has connotations that offend “good taste and decency,” the bar which the state uses to judge the suitability of personalized plate messages. She also wants the state to adopt a more “viewpoint-neutral” vanity plate approval policy, since when she typed “BAPTIST” into the DMV application it

When Chelsea Clinton announced Thursday that she’s pregnant, it took the media about two nanoseconds to home in on what that really means: Hillary, should she run for president in 2016, will campaign as a grandmother. And her hard work to keep it healthy paid off, as both the President and First Lady praised her quinoa-kale salad and even inquired after the recipe. It had been scheduled for a vote Wednesday evening in the Senate, where the party holds a slim one-seat majority. The move came after Sen. Imagine a vendor on the National Mall, selling burgers and dogs, who hasn’t paid his rent in 20 years. He refuses to recognize his landlord, the National Park Service, as a legitimate authority. Every court has ruled against him, and fines have piled up. What’s more, the effluents from his food cart are having a detrimental effect on the spring grass in the capital. Would an armed posse come to his defense, aiming their guns at the park police? Would the lawbreaker get prime airtime on Fox News, breathless updates in the Drudge Report, a sympathetic ear from Tea Party Republicans?
