Following in the footsteps of Barack Obama, Chris Christie, and of course Brian Williams, former Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney joined Jimmy Fallon for what could very well be the last “Slow Jam the News” session before the host leaves Late Night for the Tonight Show. The bit gave Romney a chance to simultaneously air his criticisms of President Obama’s second term and the continue the campaign to humanize himself after his 2012 loss. When he brought up the troubled Obamacare rollout with its website “glitches,” Fallon chimed in with, “Glitch, please.” The highlight of the whole thing came near

My quarrel with Mitt is not that he wasn´t the best choice coughed up by the Republican establishment--he was. My quarrel with him is the absolutely feckless campaign he ran after we handed him the nomination. He refused to attack Jugears on any level all while the Obama campaign was ruthlessly beating him around the ears with lies. I don´t know what it takes for the R party to put up a fighter, but I am beginning to think it ain´t ever gonna happen.

A day after the U.S. said it would not allow Iran’s proposed U.N. envoy Hamid Aboutalebi, a diplomat with links to the 1979 hostage crisis, to enter the country, Iran has dismissed the decision and affirmed it would take the issue directly to the U.N. “We do not have a replacement for Mr. Aboutalebi and we will pursue the matter via legal mechanisms anticipated in the United Nations,” said Abbas Araghchi, a senior Foreign Ministry official, as quoted by Iran’s official IRNA news agency. Stephen Colbert, the political comedian made popular on "Comedy Central," will be taking over for David Letterman as the host of CBS’ "The Late Show" once Letterman retires. But Colbert is no ordinary host. The late night comedian built himself up as a satirical political opinion character who rarely shows a normal side. The alert was just the latest example of the federal government’s continued struggle with oversight over its outside contractors. The lack of oversight “exposes the department to significant financial risk,” the auditor said. “It creates conditions conducive to fraud, as corrupt individuals may attempt
