Iranian President Hassan Rouhani warned Israel on Thursday of attacking his country´s nuclear facilities, saying Israel will "rue the day" if it does. "Israel knows very well what the response would be. Israel knows well our regional capability," he told CNN´s Fareed Zakaria. "When it comes to practice, the Israelis cannot do that. If they do such a crazy thing, our response will make them rue the day." On the ongoing nuclear talks with the West, Rouhani insisted Iran would not destroy any of its existing centrifuges "under any circumstances." Targeted strikes. Take out as much of the Revolutionary Guard leadership as possible, and as many of the turbans as you can.

Any bets on when the Israeli warplanes become airborne and headed for Tehran?

As soon as Israeli intelligence says Iran is assembling nukes and loading them on missiles.

The Guardian (UK), by Shaun Walke    Original Article

A top Russian official has accused the US of "childish tantrums" in its response to the annexation of Crimea, and suggested that American politicians practise yoga and watch sitcoms to help chill out. "Clearly, the US leadership is really annoyed, and cannot come to terms with the new situation, which has arisen in large part due to the deliberate line taken by the US and its allies in Europe to prepare anti-Russian forces to take power in Ukraine," said deputy foreign minister, Sergei Ryabkov, in an interview with Interfax. Thousands of Ugandans led by President Yoweri Museveni held a rally Monday celebrating tough new anti-gay laws, praising the bill despite international criticism and donor aid cuts. "Thank you for saving the future of Uganda," read signs held by the demonstrators, who marched through the streets of the capital Kampala. Last month, Museveni signed a bill that calls for "repeat homosexuals" to be jailed for life and requires people to report homosexuals. (Snip) Other demonstrators, who sang a song called "bye-bye homosexuality", appealed directly to US President Barack Obama. "Obama, we want trade, not homosexuality," one sign read.

Journalists spotted that ministers at a cabinet meeting were no longer using Apple tablets, and minister Nikolai Nikiforov confirmed the changeover "took place not so long ago". He said the ministers´ new Samsungs were "specially protected devices that can be used to work with confidential information." "Some of the information at government meetings is confidential in nature and these devices fully meet these demands and have gone through the strictest system of certification," he said.

Hawaii law letting police have sex

In movies and television shows, undercover cops running prostitution stings bring out the handcuffs as soon as there’s an agreement to exchange money for a sex act. They don’t usually wait to receive the service. But police in Hawaii have said they need the flexibility to have sex with prostitutes and have fought to save a state law that has allowed them to do so. Civil rights groups and victims’ advocates called that position ridiculous. “We are near certain that no other state in the nation allows for this type of ‘interpersonal’ and highly problematic ‘investigative tool’ to facilitate prostitution arrests,” the Pacific

The vote was widely condemned by Western leaders, who planned to move swiftly to punish Russia with economic sanctions. As the votes were counted, a jubilant crowd gathered around a statue of Vladimir Lenin in the center of Simferopol to celebrate with song and dance. Many held Russian flags, and some unfurled a handwritten banner reading "We´re Russian and proud of it." Fireworks exploded in the skies above. I am having flashbacks to my time as a marine during the second siege of Falluja in 2004. Again, claims are being published that al-Qaida has taken over the city and that a heavy-handed military response is needed to take the city back from the control of terrorists. The first time around, this claim proved to be false. The vast majority of the men we fought against in Falluja were locals, unaffiliated with al-Qaida, who were trying to expel the foreign occupiers from their country. There was a presence of al-Qaida in the city, but they played a minimal and

The State Department has no idea what happened to $6 billion used to pay its contractors. In a special “management alert” made public Thursday, the State Department’s Inspector General Steve Linick warned “significant financial risk and a lack of internal control at the department has led to billions of unaccounted dollars over the last six years. The alert was just the latest example of the federal government’s continued struggle with oversight over its outside contractors. The lack of oversight “exposes the department to significant financial risk,” the auditor said. “It creates conditions conducive to fraud, as corrupt individuals may attempt

Big changes could be just down the road for North Carolina drivers. A proposal is in the works that would change the state tax system to charge drivers by the mile, instead of at the gas pump. The proposal would be to charge a half cent per mile for cars, which would generate almost $500 million in annual state revenue. A driver who travelled 15,000 miles in a year would pay about $75. "Basically you pay per the mile. Do you think members of Congress are overpaid or underpaid? Most likely you’d go with the former, but Democratic congressman Jim Moran argues it’s actually the latter. In an interview with CQ Roll Call, Moran says, “I think the American people should know that the members of Congress are underpaid.” The House recently took up a bill to freeze members’ paychecks, placing another halt on the annual cost-of-living pay increases they would normally get and keeping annual salary at $174,000.
