Christie Touts Free Dinner
Program For Camden Kids

Associated Press, by Staff

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 1/24/2014 1:06:05 PM

CAMDEN, N.J. - Gov. Chris Christie is praising a new pilot program that is offering free hot dinners to students in a half-dozen Camden schools. Christie spoke Thursday at the Dudley Family School to promote the program, which is now serving between 75 and 125 students at each location where it´s operating. He says the concept could be expanded across the city, which ranks the most impoverished in the country. Christie said he´s "always believed that it´s our inherent responsibility to provide every child in the state with a high-quality education" though he has fought lawsuits from a group pushing for more funding

Comments:
Oh sigh. Does he think in sucking up to the wretched Democrats that they won´t continue to destroy him?

Christie also wants to lengthen the school day and year?

Good luck with the teacher´s unions on that.

Any changes, including these meals, will also result in more janitors, guards, and support staff. All at very high costs.

Camden and NJ must be suffering from too much money. Chris has found a cure.

Chris Christie no different from your typical screaming Northeast liberal machine politician (high taxes, strict gun control, massive government overhead and regulation). But just you wait, he´ll be a supersize edition of Ronald Reagan once we elect him to the White House in 2016. You betcha.

Well as long as the parents can use their food stamp cards to purchase two hundred dollar or more Air Jordan sneakers the kids do have to have someplace to eat. That´s the way it is in the ghetto today.

How about this Fatso. No meals, no computers, no after-school babysitting. Let the parents of Camden know that THEY are responsible for their kids. Teach math, English, history. If only you could do that you would have the most successful school in the country. The kids and the parents would be better off.

Take the River Line from anywhere north of Camden to the NJ State aquarium. Last stop. Going thru the City of Camden you will pass one Government agency after another providing "essential services".

The Camden denizens DO NOT CARE. They will let their kids STARVE and they DO NOT CARE.

All cultures are NOT equal.

And thank Kelly Ripa´s dad for the way Camden is; he was a LONG time Camden county democrat pol.

Parents who cannot or will not provide dinner for their own kids arwe guilty of child abuse. Open up group childrens´ homes and take the kids away, teach them to study and value education, and maybe we can get a handle on poverty. Leaving these kids in their current environment will only continue the circle of despair.

Christie should start another program:
You pop em, we´ll raise em.

Most of these children are nothing more than a bigger check and more free stuff. When they get to be seniors, not much changes.

In one city they came up with another plan.
Mom gets injured at work, grandma gets custody because they are so disabled they can´t raise them, and now grandma gets free stuff too.

Sending scores of armed agents along with helicopters and dogs to confront an elderly Nevada rancher over grazing fees may seem like overkill, but critics say it’s not inconsistent with the federal government’s recent approach to environmental enforcement. The simmering truce between the Bundys and the Bureau of Land Management comes after high-profile raids last year by armed federal agents on small-time gold miners in tiny Chicken, Alaska, and guitar makers at the Gibson Guitar facilities in Tennessee. That doesn’t include more subtle threats, such as recent efforts by the Obama administration to raise grazing fees or pressure

Rep. Joe Garcia (D-Fla.) is among the Democrats pressing Congress to take up immigration reform. On Tuesday, he told a conference call that deportations are breaking families apart and leaving children in foster care. "So the human toll has been horrific. This president, by implementation of existing law, has been forced to deport a huge number of Americans." Although Garcia may consider the deportees to be "Americans," legally they are not. But they might become citizens if Garcia and other immigration advocates get their way. Democrats are urging Republicans to sign their discharge petition, which would force a House vote on

The government claims they haven’t paid grazing fees for 20 years. The result was a government assault on the ranch- including snipers with assault rifles, SUV’s, helicopters, airplanes and over 200 heavily armed troops. No

Thank God for Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration J. Russell George. His investigation of what turned out to be the IRS abuse scandal may well have saved the Constitution and the nation. For his fair and impartial investigation into the Internal Revenue Service’s abuse of Americans who dissent from President Obama’s agenda, Democrats have called for an investigation of him. George should not be investigated, but perhaps the Democrats who want him investigated — Reps. Gerry Connolly (D-VA) and Matt Cartwright (D-PA) — should be. Two white adults divided the toys, one equally and the other unequally. Seventy per cent of the toddlers chose to play with the researcher who distributed the toys fairly. But in a second test, when one researcher favoured a white recipient over an Asian one, they picked the ‘fair’ researcher less often, the journal Frontiers in Psychology reports.
