Sean Hannity Considering a
Political Run in the Future?

Mediaite, by Tina Nguyen

Apparently, Sean Hannity’s recent threats to leave the “Socialist State of New York” may be the cover for a more elaborate plan — namely, a potential run for political office. Though the Fox News commentator has publicly mused about moving to Florida or Texas after his children graduate from high school/he finds a way to move his massive staff out of New York, he’s allegedly mentioned in private that he would like to run for public office once he does move. According to The Hill, Hannity’s pipe dream may actually not be a pipe dream: A source who was on Hannity’s Fox News

He would be the Democrats´ worst nightmare. It would be delightful to watch their heads explode.

He´s fearless and a stand up guy. Go for it, Sean. He would stand up to the pussies like Obama, Shumer and Reid. Forgive my language. I I was born in NJ.

I heard Charles Krauthammer say that Sean Hannity did not have any idea he was in a wheel chair until seeing him in the FOX booth at a convention. Either Sean is blind to anyone except himself or he´s really not all that smart. In a debate or a long campaign this would come out.

I´m with #3. Sean Hannity is certainly personable, but I´m not at all sure how sharp he is. He doesn´t seem to do or say anything particularly original.

No offense to one of our faithful conservative warriors, but I really agree with #3 and 6. The progressives have hold of so many areas of American life that it will take a candidate with a sharp intellect as well as personal charm to achieve what´s necessary in elected office. I really doubt Sean is serious about this.

I´m surprised at the lack of appreciation for Sean here. I don´t know how he´d be as a Congressman - it might not work at all - and I hate the shout-fests he presides over. But he does change minds and bring people over from The Dark Side and I wonder how many converts the people dismissing him have logged lately.

´Hacking the Constitution´: States
Quietly Plan to Ditch Electoral College
Fox News, by Staff    Original Article

Nearly a dozen states have quietly signed onto a plan to effectively ditch the Electoral College and instead, award the White House to the candidate that wins the popular vote. The National Popular Vote agreement would take effect if states that represent 270 electoral votes all commit. New York has most recently joined the efforts, bringing the number of states to 10 plus the District of Columbia. Altogether, they represent 165 electoral votes. Without the Electoral College, FoxNews.com digital politics editor Chris Stirewalt said we would have had a whole different trajectory of presidents. If presidents are selected through the

WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court has upheld Michigan´s ban on using race as a factor in college admissions. The justices said in a 6-2 ruling Tuesday that Michigan voters had the right to change their state constitution to prohibit public colleges and universities from taking account of race in admissions decisions. The justices said that a lower federal court was wrong to set aside the change as discriminatory. Justice Anthony Kennedy said voters chose to eliminate racial preferences because they deemed them unwise. Kennedy said nothing in the Constitution or the court´s prior cases gives judges the authority to undermine the election results. Justice

Sure, approving the Keystone XL pipeline would alienate a small but deep-pocketed sect of the Democratic base, leaving President Obama and his party without that particular battalion of influential donors and infuriating its activists into a probably well-publicized frenzy — but not approving the pipeline is liable to have the some of the same effects with a different heavily-donating wing of the party. When the Obama administration announced yet another through-the-upcoming-election delay of the embattled project on Friday, using the legal holdup on the ground in Nebraska as their entirely lame excuse, Big Labor was evidently none too amused. In the late summer of 2013, a series of videos began to surface on the internet which showed the bloody Syrian civil war had taken a turn toward the unspeakable. The videos revealed images of young men foaming at the mouth; the bodies of children, contorted and discolored; the floors of makeshift hospitals covered with bodies of civilians that died of an apparent chemical weapons attack. In the days that followed, American officials and independent observers confirmed that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad had committed a flagrant violation of international norms and used Sarin gas against civilian targets. She told the children that if they eat right the majority of the time, then a splurge or snack is not going to hurt them. When it comes to immigration, many Republican members of the House have long distrusted their leader, Speaker John Boehner. Now, things have gotten even worse. Boehner has assured members who oppose comprehensive immigration reform that nothing will be done on the issue until the Obama administration "can be trusted to enforce our laws." Given the average GOP Congressman´s view of Barack Obama, that means "never." That´s certainly how many members interpreted the speaker´s words. Sign Up for the Byron York newsletter! If Jeb reaches for the nomination, there will be a titanic battle between the party establishment and the Tea Party. Steve Schmidt, McCain’s strategist in 2008, insists that in the end Republicans usually settle on the most electable candidate. To get by, this Bush may be forced to trim his positions, although the cautionary tale of Romney suggests that he would have to tack artfully and carefully for the sake of the general election. Certainly he will have the resources to outlast, discredit, and disqualify his rivals.

The Obama administration is poised to entertain a flood of new clemency applications from thousands of federal prisoners who were given harsh sentences under mandatory-minimum laws following drug convictions, Attorney General Eric Holder said Monday. Holder said in a short videotaped statement that he wants to shrink the federal prison population by a modest amount while ensuring ´that those who have paid their debts have a chance to become productive citizens.´ At the center of the move is a set of old sentencing rules that punished crack-cocaine offenders with more time behind bars than users or traffickers of powder cocaine.

Perhaps the most remarkable feature of American democracy is the magnificent estate of public land that it reserved from the very beginning for the use of all citizens, rich or poor. There is nothing like it in the democracies of Europe, which came into being with nations already carved up into private fiefdoms. The Great Idea that hundreds of millions of acres of forests, deserts, rivers and prairies should be owned by, and managed for, the public interest has had a profound and lasting influence on American culture.
