TCU Students Demand Higher
Quality Toilet Paper

CBS Local Media (Dallas/Fort Worth), by Joel Thomas

Original Article

FORT WORTH - Behind closed doors in stalls around its campus, Texas Christian University has a tissue issue. The school only provides one ply toilet paper in its dorms, classroom and office buildings. At least for now. “This is a big thing,” said student body president Cody Westphal. “You know, TCU has this reputation for the highest quality everything — whether it is education, technology, teachers, students — whatever. I think the next obvious step would be to take the step of quality toilet paper!” Students in dorms craving the two-ply comfort of home were on their own.

Such soft students... Trying to get something for the money and four year investment. Could this be the future of all "sheepskin"?

maybe, and I guess they could bring their own
but I can almost - almost - sympathize, having been in far too many situations where the bathroom stationery was either so thin it needed multiple layers to function, or was so coarse it seemed to have treebark, branches, and the odd aphid body there. Guess the institutions are saving money so as to provide million dollar salarie$$ to the assistant deputy associate secretary for the spring diversity celebration.

TCU´s tuition is almost $30,000 per year, not including room and board. For that, the toilet tissue should be at least serviceable.

I worked for a newspaper many years ago and the toilet paper was made from recycled newsprint. It was slick and awful. So bad we started bringing our own. This finally shamed the publisher into upgrading the TP quality.

However, the findings do not mean women should stop using birth control, the researchers say. They looked at the women’s birth control use up to three years prior to the onset of MS symptoms. Overall, researchers found a 30 percent increased risk of developing

Although the Civil Rights Act, the landmark legislation which just reached its 50th anniversary, made great strides in desegregating the economy, economic discrimination is still widespread, and anti-discrimination legislation alone can never rectify the economic damage inflicted upon blacks by slavery and our Jim Crow apartheid regime. The Civil Rights Act was a mild reform, all things considered, but one conservatives fought with vigor and one many conservatives are still bitter about to this day. When the Civil Rights Act passed in 1964, the primary purpose was to root out discrimination in public accommodations (like hotels and movie theaters)

Some time back, whenever a big racial controversy erupted, I trained myself into the habit of reading about it at FoxNews.com, just for the unbelievable comment threads. Let’s put it this way: If my friends and I went out to a bar and started playing a “let’s write the racist FoxNews.com comment thread” drinking game, our efforts couldn’t begin to approach what I read there.I wasn’t alone. Liberal websites started feasting on these threads. And so, a couple of years ago, Ailes & Co. got wise. Stories about race were, at least in my disheartened experience, closed to comments.
