Pentagon to relax rules on personal
religious wear — including beards,

NBC News, by Jim Miklaszewski & Courtney Kube

The Pentagon on Wednesday is expected to announce widespread changes to rules governing religious items and religion-based physical attributes that service members can maintain while in uniform — including beards, some religious tattoos, and turbans. NBC News obtained an early draft of the new Department of Defense instruction which states that the military will make every effort to accommodate “individual expressions of sincerely held beliefs” (conscience, moral principles, or religious beliefs) of service members. It goes on to say that unless doing so could have an adverse impact on military readiness, unit cohesion, good order and discipline, health and safety,

So the Chaplain can´t pray in Jesus´ name but, we will accommodate the muslims. Wanna bet Crucifix´s are forbidden but prayer mats are ok. And we must stop whatever is going on and allow the muslims to stop and pray. This nation needs to be put on a suicide watch cause the people in power are slitting our own throats.

Does this mean Hasidic Jew servicememen can wear their yarmulkes and schriemels (fur hats)?
Will muslim female servicemembers be allowed to wear burkhas? In desert camo of course.
Will American Indians be allowed to wear face paint and feathers?

This has nothing to do with accomodating religion; it is an all-voluntary military after all, and those who feel military dress codes inhibit their religious expression need not join.

This, like gays in the military, women in combat, restrictions on military chaplains, cutting of military budgets and pensions, VA cutbacks, etc. are all part of a plan by the Obama regime to demoralize our military, create chaos and dissent, and weaken it.

Uniforms are used to minimize the differences in a group. As soon as you allow differences to be expressed (like head scarves, turbans, face hair), there is really no purpose in having the uniforms anymore. Allowing differences just seems crazy to me. Defeats the purpose.

The British have a long history of having Sikhs both in the old Imperial Indian Army and in modern times in the British Army. Sikhs have always been able to wear their turbans and beards. Currently there are a few Sikhs in the guards regiments that guard Buckingham Palace and other locals in London and they wear their turbans rather then the normal bearskin hats. Some years ago the Sikh population group in the UK wanted the government to form a Sikh infantry regiment the membership in which would be limited to 100% Sikh enlisted men but the government would not go along with that. The Sikhs are the only group in the British Army who are shown such a uniform deference. The British also have a regiment of Gurkhas that are formed in accordance with a longstanding treaty with Nepal, but that is a different story.

Actually I think this is great, it will give the American people a chance to see what they are up against in trying to maintain America as it was founded to be and perhaps get them to want to bring back all of the American values.

We would also get to see to what degree we´ve been sold out and try to focus on it at the polls, instead of what time dancing with the stars goes on. Or what the Kardashians are up to this week.

Although the Civil Rights Act, the landmark legislation which just reached its 50th anniversary, made great strides in desegregating the economy, economic discrimination is still widespread, and anti-discrimination legislation alone can never rectify the economic damage inflicted upon blacks by slavery and our Jim Crow apartheid regime. The Civil Rights Act was a mild reform, all things considered, but one conservatives fought with vigor and one many conservatives are still bitter about to this day. When the Civil Rights Act passed in 1964, the primary purpose was to root out discrimination in public accommodations (like hotels and movie theaters)

Say what you will about Sens. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and Ted Cruz (R-Tex.), but they know a train wreck when they see it. They also know when to separate themselves from the cranks and the losers on the right. Although both supported the shutdown and were heartily supported by tea party groups in their own Senate races, neither one has endorsed Matt Bevin in Kentucky, Milton Wolf in Kansas or Chris McDaniel in Mississippi. In fact, Cruz’s office confirms he hasn’t endorsed anyone in the primaries. He may weigh in after the primaries. Rand Paul has endorsed two very establishment

A Russian fighter jet made multiple, close-range passes near an American warship in the Black Sea for more than 90 minutes Saturday amid escalating tensions in the region, a U.S. military official said Monday. In the first public account of the incident, the official said the Russian Fencer flew within 1,000 yards of the USS Donald Cook, a Navy destroyer, at about 500 feet above sea level. Ship commanders considered the actions provocative and inconsistent with international agreements, prompting the ship to issue several radio queries and warnings. The fighter appeared to be unarmed and never was in danger of

It’s hardly been a secret that in recent years the moderate center of the Democrat party has been driven away and what remains is a conglomeration of disparate blocs which, to date, the party has been able to treat as if there were no conflicting interests between them. As the midterm elections approach and the administration’s incompetence, along with the distaste for the president’s signature ObamaCare legislation, drive the party’s chances down further, the make-believe coalition of opposites may well crumble if the opposition doesn’t blow it. Democrats hope to retain control of the Senate and recapture the House by driving
