Obama’s 7 State of the Union talking
points. No. 1: Defending Obamacare

Washington Post, by Juliet Eilperin

Original Article

Posted By:Scottyboy, 1/22/2014 2:31:19 PM

When President Obama brings up health care during his State of the Union address on Jan. 28, he will make one issue clear (yet) again: He will defend the Affordable Care Act against any and all political attacks this year. Unlike some other initiatives such as immigration, Obama will not ask Congress for anything, focusing instead on the law´s ongoing implementation as the top priority. While the Oct. 1 botched rollout of Healthcare.gov represented a significant blow to both the White House and Democrats more broadly (especially those on the ballot this November), the high-profile speech gives Obama the chance

Comments:
0bama´s ego is only going to get him in deeper trouble. He can´t defend his 0bamacare disaster without lying and he can´t get away with such blatant lying anymore, especially on this topic.
Big Mistake.....bring on the popcorn.

If, after passing your wet dream legislation, you must stand before the people to continue to make a case for it, you are far, far above your ability. The real point is that he has usurped powers unconstitutional to his office. He should be standing before congress having a multi count impeachment read to him. Alas, he assured himself his office by choosing Uncle Doppy Biden.

This midterm election could very well tell which direction that the people of our nation want to go. If it remains status quo, then there may not be much hope for the future of our government or society.

I barely pay attention to the reporting of TSOTU speech. I can´t even stand to hear that smarmy, petulant, snobbish boor speaking.
Everything he says is a lie. If his speechwriters were to write him a plain truth to speak he would probably rewrite it as a lie.

They will try to obfuscate the terms ´health care´ and ´health insurance´.

No one in America was denied health care even before Obamacare.

Some many not have had very good insurance, or none at all.

But they didn´t not get health care even if here illegally since they could simply go to an emergency room (many did for years and years) and receive health care - usually at NO COST.

It appeared Sen. Comment they did. By late Wednesday afternoon, the status update had more than 55,000 replies. “I and a few million other people are a lot better off,” said one user. “I hope you are enjoying your Cadillac plan given to you by your wife’s employer, Goldman Sachs.” “YES, best law ever! Here’s a situation where a black woman in the White House could make a difference. Earlier this week, the U.S. Army released its new appearance and grooming regulations, AR 670-1, and it was a real burn for African-American female soldiers. The updated rules ban twists, multiple braids bigger than a quarter of an inch in diameter, and dreadlocks of any size. Cornrows also can’t be bigger than a quarter of an inch. As of Wednesday afternoon, nearly 8,000 people had signed a petition calling on President Barack Obama to order the Army to reconsider the regulations because they are “racially biased.” The petition

That´s why, if we want to restore a free society and create greater well-being and opportunity for all Americans, we have no choice but to fight for those principles. Do you think members of Congress are overpaid or underpaid? Most likely you’d go with the former, but Democratic congressman Jim Moran argues it’s actually the latter. In an interview with CQ Roll Call, Moran says, “I think the American people should know that the members of Congress are underpaid.” The House recently took up a bill to freeze members’ paychecks, placing another halt on the annual cost-of-living pay increases they would normally get and keeping annual salary at $174,000. With Chris Christie in deep trouble, Republican poobahs are reportedly looking to Jeb Bush to save their party in 2016. The former two-term governor of Florida speaks fluent Spanish, is a convert to Catholicism, and has high name recognition. Jeb could raise millions of dollars over night by just saying “yes” to running. Despite all this, there are strong reasons Republicans should say no to him. 1. His last name is poison. Let’s face it, if Jeb Bush had the last name of Something Else he would have already run for president in 2008 or 2012. According to a recent Washington Post/ABC News poll registered voters were asked if they would definitely NOT vote for Jeb Bush and 50 percent said they would not.

A candidacy by Florida’s former governor would be desirable. But if Republicans want to avoid intra-party carnage, they should be very careful about doing what The Post recently reported: “Many of the Republican Party’s most powerful insiders and financiers have begun a behind-the-scenes campaign to draft
