NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio’s
Culture of Intimidation

Mediaite, by Noah Rothman

Original Article

New York City’s changing of the guard is complete and citizens of the cultural capital of America awoke on Wednesday morning to a disturbing revelation: Theirs is now a city run by a mayor bent on political vengeance against his perceived enemies. The wailing of the kulak class began shortly after the sun set on Tuesday evening as a powerful snowstorm bore down on the city. With powdery flakes pouring down at almost an inch an hour, the city’s public services slowed to a crawl. It was then, apparently, that the most important function of a city’s government during such a

Not even one month into office, and DiBlasio has managed to anger the wealthy Dems in the upper East Side. And, he isn´t giving up on a special tax on the "rich" even though Cuomo is state-funding the pre-K boondoggle that DiBlasio had used as the justification for those taxes.
It will get worse…much worse. He will be hated even by the elite Dems within a year.
I predict a Republican mayor of the remnants of NYC that might exist in 2018

I am not a city boy and never wanted to live in a big city like NYC. I can see the appeal from an arts and leisure standpoint. The theater, the food, etc. but there is a limit to what people will stand for. Once it becomes truly onerous to the wealthy a lot of them will move. After all, they can always come back and visit.

The computer in my lap allows me to roam the world. I can order any kind of specialty food from dozens of on-line delicatessens, books, movies, etc. I can watch Olivier do Henry V or Clint Eastwood do Dirty Harry.

IMHO the future will have less and less wealthy people willing to live in an expensive hive with several million others.

I went to the chart featured in the article and did the math on the primary voting. Votes for Republicans in the primary were on 9.35% of total votes cast so I only feel sorry for 9.35% of the affected residents and urge them to move. The other almost 91% have only themselves to blame and would be laughing if the Dems. had done this to Republican voting areas. They´re just upset their own tactics have been used on them but that´s what happens when you support thugs.

Okay, it´s just a coincidence that the first day after the sort of closing of ObamaCare enrollment is April´s Fool Day. Still, we do seem to be entering a new phase of the ObamaCare mess saga: the everyday is April Fool´s Day phase, in which the administration and its supporters giddily proclaim that ObamaCare is a huge success. An alternate theme is that ObamaCare doesn’t exist, so what is the fuss about? Move on, people. An example of the first came when ObamaCare architect Ezekiel Emanuel went on “Morning Joe” yesterday, the sort of deadline for enrollment, and touted the “big surge”

Before the Obama administration gave an inaccurate narrative on national television that the Benghazi attacks grew from an anti-American protest, the CIA’s station chief in Libya pointedly told his superiors in Washington that no such demonstration occurred, documents and interviews with current and former intelligence officials show. Some conservative political groups have run into trouble making ads that criticize Obamacare. The ads were intended to showcase "horror stories" from the Democrats´ national health care overhaul, but instead attracted zealous fact-checking and ferocious pushback from media outlets and liberal activists. The most striking example is a recent ad from Americans for Prosperity, the organization backed by Charles and David Koch, the conservative businessmen-philanthropists who have emerged as this year´s Target No. 1 for Democrats. The ad featured a Michigan woman, Julie Boonstra, who said she had been diagnosed with leukemia and given a 20 percent chance of surviving, but

The government’s estimate of autism has moved up again to 1 in 68 U.S. children, a 30 percent increase in two years. But health officials say the new number may not mean autism is more common. Much of the increase is believed to be from a cultural and medical shift, with doctors diagnosing autism more frequently, especially in children with milder problems. “We can’t dismiss the numbers. But we can’t interpret it to mean more people are getting the disorder,” said Marisela Huerta, a psychologist at the New York-Presbyterian Center for Autism and the Developing Brain in suburban White Plains, N.Y.

New York, California, Illinois and Michigan are traditionally among the most reliably Democratic states in the union, as an interactive 2012 map created by Slate shows.
