The blunt truth — White house drug czar
contradicts Obama on marijuana

Washington Times, by Ernestt Istook

President Obama’s latest claims about marijuana are contradicted by research and official positions of the Office of National Drug Control Policy, which is part of the White House. And Mr. Obama’s words have anti-drug leaders worried about negative repercussions among youth.Mr. Obama claimed to The New Yorker magazine that marijuana is no worse than cigarettes or alcohol and he promoted state efforts by Colorado and Washington to legalize marijuana, which remains illegal under federal law.The National Drug Control Policy’s official stance, posted on the whitehouse.gov website, says the opposite of Mr. Obama on all counts. For example, as documented in agency

As does medical research and the law. Further evidence of this officer of the court´s disdain for the law he has sworn to uphold in that capacity and as president.

Two wrongs don´t make a right. Obama is trying to justify his own use of pot. Then he turns around and says he doesn´t want his daughters using it. If it is good enough for our children, because they will get it and use it and claim that Obama says it´s ok, then why isn´t it good enough for his? He is one messed up Dude.

And what else is the Office of National Drug Control Policy supposed to say? They have to justify their existence, too. Big Government and law enforcement have too much sunk into the narrative to change it now. Too much at stake.

Narcissists can always justify their bad behavior. If they deem it okay, who´s to argue? Plus, a stoned society is easily controlled. What vodka is to Russia, marijuana will be to the United States. They are to drunk to care, people here will be too stoned to care.

Of course zippy would say that. He´s still chooming. Remember the TV interview when he was giggling about foreign policy or some other serious issue (can´t remember what it was) and the interviewer asked him if he was "punch drunk"? His behavior also makes it look like he´s still tooting up the blow as well. Then there´s the doctor´s order to "moderate" his drinking. Face it, we have a substance abuser in the WH, an addict, a junkie.

Just imagine if this were GW Bush.

So now, in a purely political move to re-ingratiate themselves with younger voters, the progressives are going to become pushers of marijuana.

And when the President says, "marijuana is no worse than cigarettes or alcohol" but doesn´t condemn the same, he´s basically saying, "Go ahead, smoke cigarettes, marijuana and drink booze".

He just loves people, doesn´t he?

This "war on drugs" sends billions in support of law enforcement that does little to fight the war on drugs, but supports the police in innumerable ways. The drug czar is their king. Follow the money. This "drug czar" depends upon this fear for his kingdom to survive. Take a look at Switzerland and how they deal with this issue.

Prohibition elimination of all mind altering products (many call it legalizing), would quickly eliminate (1) the massive criminal underworld of plundering, black market
high prices, (2) gang killings, police, lawyers and judicial bribing and theft, (3) and the billion dollar money laundering crimes of New York´s ten biggest banks! Just for starters.
All users would no longer be criminals subject to low class housing midnight military raids that have become
Steven Seagall frightening and commonplace.

At this point, every state and city would EACH make their own laws about "user".behavior. Vegas, Hollywood,
would be the worst with stoned people crazily wandering the streets and driving into walls. But most of America would construct easily accepted local rules to keeping any kind of "using" in private and off the streets. Rehab clinics would prosper, prisons would empty out.

One of the most dramatic benefits would be found right next door in Mexico, where drug running billionaires have either bribed or killed virtually every politician and policeman in the entire country. They´re either paid off or murdered ! That would stop, the minute American caused, premium prohibition prices stopped, and American drug pricing dropped back down to open market pricing. And, farmers would no longer be forced to grow drugs only, and could grow food again.

Post #16 sees thing clearly. No government should have the power to tell anyone what he or she may or may not ingest.

Drug prohibition has wasted countless trillions of dollars and caused uncountable deaths of innocent persons and ruined the lives of countless others..

Many make the point that marijuana and other narcotic drugs may cause brain damage and other problems. OK - - maybe they do. But that´s no reason whatsoever for the government to get involved.

Oppose narcotic drugs if you choose to. Devote your life to convincing others not to use them. But the moment you allow the government to prohibit personal choice - - you´re signing the Death Warrant for your own personal freedom.

No doubt about which side of the argument that the Choomer-in-Chief is on. No need to even read the article. Every whacked-out child of the sixties dreamed of the day when a "cool" drug-addled communist could win the White House. Unfortunately, Barackus Husseinus Maximus has more brain damage than can be explained by drug use.

#16 and #18 make good arguments. Every police force in the country is double the size they need to be solely because of drug laws. More cars, cash and firearms have been confiscated in the name of drug enforcement than any other crimes and these oranizations benefit locally and personally from the financial gains of such confiscation. Of course they want to keep it illegal. Being stoned is not a state that I care to be in but it is not illegal under any interpretation of the Constitution.

#16, you are correct. And what people do NOT understand is it will NOT create more addicts. There will always be a small percentage of people who will self-medicate. That will never change. But the world will not all suddenly become addicts if you stop criminalizing it. Is the entire population alcoholic now?? They should be if you listen to some of the rants. Geez. One thing that would also stop, if you legalize all substances, is the big business of the criminal justice system. That system has become a fat cash cow ever since the "War on Drugs". Legal issues from this destroy more lives than the actual drugs do. It is easier to get off and stay off drugs if there are not so many legal constraints and stigmas than it is once you get caught up in the system. With regard to vodka and the USSR.... People drink excessively in a lot of those northern locations, but I think if there had been more opportunities and freedoms, there would have been a lot less self-medicating. People do not drink excessively or take drugs for no reason. Most addiction is NOT physical...it is psychological, societal or emotional. Physical addiction is tough to kick but it is relatively easy and if there were no other issues, the user would probably stay off.

Post #16 and Post #23 make eminent sense.

There are too many "conservatives" who react emotionally - - like the leftists do - - when it comes to individual freedom with respect to narcotic drugs.

Their eagerness to jump into bed with government prohibition schemes is always a disappointing spectacle.

You can´t be free to own guns - - or to start your own business - - or to not buy government health insurance - - if you don´t allow others to intoxicate themselves as they choose to.

Stupid and self-destructive people deserve to be as free as intelligent and sober ones. If you agree to have the government control their lives - - who will stop the government from controlling yours?

About 1% of the population in this country carry the genes for schizophrenia.

African Americans ~ depending on the part of the country, have a 2.5% to 4.5% chance of carrying those genes.

Recent studies (readily available on the internet) report that marijuana can trigger early onset of schizophrenia in those who are susceptible.

Until we get a gene test together to detect this problem long before it becomes the focus of someone´s life no one can know if marijuana use will turn you into a schizophrenia victim.

Even Obama wasn´t immune to this ~ he´s a total nut case with a mild form of schizophrenia, but he´s still a nut case.

Imagine if he had had one of the genes that leads to violence.

Toddlers show racial bias when picking playmates, a study reveals. They also take account of how fairly others behave. Researchers tested the reaction of white 15-month-olds as toys were distributed. Two white adults divided the toys, one equally and the other unequally. Seventy per cent of the toddlers chose to play with the researcher who distributed the toys fairly. But in a second test, when one researcher favoured a white recipient over an Asian one, they picked the ‘fair’ researcher less often, the journal Frontiers in Psychology reports. And the babies are more likely to help those who share the same ethnicity, which is known as

Hank Aaron’s recent comments about the need for America to realize that racism is still very much alive and thriving — only now due to those who wear “neckties and starched shirts” rather than KKK hoods — has sparked an angry backlash and many fans are turning the tables, calling the baseball legend himself a racist. “Hank Aaron is a s*****g piece of [expletive] [racial slur],” one man said in an email to the Atlanta Braves’ front office, one of the teams Mr. Aaron used to play for, CBS News reported. “My old man instilled in my mind from a

Western Washington University sent a questionnaire to students asking them for advice on how the administration could succeed at making sure that in future years, “we are not as white as we are today.” The question notes that WWU’s racial make up does not perfectly reflect the nation at large, and asks students to consider strategies that other universities have used to focus on skin color as the paramount indicator of a student-applicant’s worth. The president of WWU has stated that his explicit goal is to reduce the white population on campus, according to Campus Reform. “I’ve said before and I’ll say it

Funny question in the headline, yes? But since President Obama worries more about the threat of terrorists´ improvised nuclear device going off in a major American city than anything Russia can throw at us, I was wondering if the government had deigned to share with us citizens any tips for, you know, surviving something their own intelligence points to as the likeliest unlikely Black Swan event. Well, no. And yes. No — very few people in Washington, D.C., who work for the government have any idea what they would do if a 10-kiloton nuclear device exploded at the intersection of 16th and K

Like him or hate him, there is no disputing that Rush Limbaugh’s very special brand of mixing right-wing politics with his flare for entertainment has produced one of the most successful radio programs in the medium’s long history. Whatever the burning political question of the day, millions of Americans have relished the opportunity to tune into Rush’s program, knowing that he would quickly take that hot potato, throw a few gallons of verbal kerosene into the mix and elevate the matter into a five alarm fire with a just a few well-chosen words spoken in the style only Rush Limbaugh could

When President Obama needed a preacher to fulfill the closing prayer duties at the annual White House Easter Prayer Breakfast, he turned to none other than the Episcopal Church’s first openly gay bishop — who said he was as shocked as anyone at the appointment. The Right Rev. Gene Robinson said in a tweet, accompanied by a photo of Mr. Obama behind a podium at the event: “POTUS ‘preaches’ at the Easter prayer breakfast. Then, out of the blue, asks ME to close with prayer. OMG!” Newsmax said he also emphasized that the words he chose to close the breakfast
