NYC ´Human Rights´
Czars Lose to Jews

Weekly Standard, by Mark Hemingway

Yesterday, THE WEEKLY STANDARD reported on the New York City human rights commission´s dubious case against seven business owners in the Hasidic community Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The commission alleged that these Jewish stores were guilty of religious and sexual discrimination for posting dress code signs requiring "No Shorts, No Barefoot, No Sleeveless, No Low Cut Neckline," and the stores were facing $75,000 in potential fines. The commission had already been slapped down last year by an administrative judge for alleging that the posted dress code was an attempt by the Orthodox Jewish business owners to impose their religion on others—after all,

Business owner´s rights are constantly being chipped away at.To me, a privately owned business has the right to set the rules and regs for a patron of their business. If somebody doesn´t like it,they can go some where else.

Why should the gov´t be able to tell you who you can rent an apt. to? You´re he one who puts the money in it to make it live able and you don´t want to spend a fortune rehabbing the place after the animal tenants move out.

Now there´s another bakery who wont make a gay wedding cake. How is that the government´s business. Just go to another freakin bakery.

Next we will need criminal penalties for potential customers who refuse to patronize a particular business for reasons that may be racist, sexist, ageist or fill in the blank-ist.

Equal does mean equal....doesn´t it ?

This fight might be more easily won by small businesses based on their right to choose with whom they want to associate, rather than on discrimination ´´rights.´´
The Supreme Court decided long ago that corporations are persons.
Persons have the right to freely associate with whoever they wish....conversely to not associate with others.

Who´s next? The eateries with the "no shirts, no shoes, no service" signs?

What about restaurants that require men to wear jackets?

Had this sign been posted in a Muzlim business, no one would dare protest.

Years ago in Miami, when the Latinos arrived and opened businesses, they would not wait on American whites or speak English. No one sued.

Since 1941, comic book fans have followed the exploits of teenaged Archie Andrews and his friends. This July, they´ll find out how he dies. "Life With Archie" #36 hits stores on July 16, and CNN can reveal exclusively that it tells the story of how Archie sacrifices himself to save a friend. Few details are known, but it seems fitting that Archie would go out a hero. The 37th issue one week later will end the series. The "Life With Archie" series has been telling the stories of possible future Archie scenarios for the past few years, and so Archie will continue to

Jeb’s Jejune Swoon: Why did Jeb Bush say those provocative, seemingly jejune things about illegal border crossing being “not a felony” but ” an act of love? Obviously it’s what he actually thinks. But, again, why did he say it? Two theories: 1) He’s running in 2016 and thinks he can compensate for giving amnesty to all the illegal border crossers (mainly from Mexico) by cracking down and even deporting visa-overstayers (who aren’t so much from Latin America).(Snip)2) He’s not running, but he’s making space for Marco Rubio. Look at it this way: The GOP establishment is desperate to suppress

Democrats are facing a senior problem that could get even worse this year. The party has traditionally had trouble with older voters, losing the group aged 65 and over by 21 points in 2010 — when Republicans picked up 63 seats — and by 12 points in the 2012 presidential race. Seniors are the GOP’s most reliable voting bloc in midterm years, turning out in higher numbers than Democratic base voters. A recent Gallup poll showed seniors have become even more Republican over the last two decades; in 2013, 48 percent considered themselves Republican. LONDON - Peaches Geldof, the wild-child second daughter of concert organizer Bob Geldof who worked as a model, a television presenter and a fashion writer and filled the pages of British tabloids with her late-night antics, has died at age 25. There was no immediate word on the cause of her death at her home in Wrotham, Kent, southeast England. Her father said in a statement Monday: "Peaches has died. We are beyond pain." "She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us," he said. "Writing 'was' destroys me afresh. What a beautiful child. How is this possible that we will not see her again? How is that bearable? We loved her and will cherish her forever."
