Millionaire Congresswoman: Income
Inequality is ´Existential Threat´ to U.S.

Rep. Rosa DeLauro (D-Conn.), who is worth millions of dollars according to her congressional financial disclosure statement, says Congress needs to tackle income inequality because it “poses an existential threat to our nation and our way of life.” On the House floor last Wednesday DeLauro said, “Every generation of leaders in this institution has faced their own time of testing. Whether it’s an economic panic, Great Depression, slavery, Jim Crow, Civil War, World War, Cold War. There are times when our country is confronted with a crisis that poses an existential threat to our nation and our way of life

I have an idea. Let´s flood the unskilled labor market with new immigrants. That can only help the problem.... get worse.

We can solve the problem quickly and easily. All the democrats in Congress, all other government positions and donors to the democrats can donate all their income, possessions, savings, etc. to those who refuse to work. Alternatively, they can each adopt a ´poor´ family, including extended family of several generations, and care for all of them for the rest of their lives. Then the rest of us honest working taxpayers can keep what we earn. That was easy. I feel better already.

Income inequality doesn´t exist. Income, excluding family wealth and connections, is a function of education and experience.
When I was a low income earner, I went to school, got a BS in Business and MS in Computer Science.
Income and life are much better.
Not having an education is a threat to the individual and thus to the country too - because it costs us money in welfare, medicine, diminished GDP, etc.

Most people soften with age. I thought the younger Rosa de Lauro was enough to have a drop down screen installed in the event that she appeared on TV when I didn´t have a remote within reach. I apologize. All bets are off. This woman is so strangely ugly that it doesn´t matter if she´s dropping pearls from her teeth while she speaks since it´s impossible to get past how she looks. And now that we´re told she´s loaded, shouldn´t she be required to wear a bag on her head if she speaks in public or have Harry Reid pass some kind of bill requiring her to have needed work to make sure small children who unwittingly see here aren´t traumatized?

CHICAGO — Democrats have dominated state government here for so long that they even held on to the governor’s office in 2010 as their last governor, Rod R. Blagojevich, was facing corruption charges that would send him to federal prison. But now comes Bruce Rauner, seen as the front-runner in Illinois’s Republican primary for governor on Tuesday, who portrays himself as an outsider — the opposite, he suggests, of everything weary Illinois voters have seen too many times before. Both Republicans and Democrats are taking notice. No decades-long veteran of insular Statehouse politics, Mr. Rauner, 58, a multimillionaire businessman, is

The Chicago River´s bright emerald green in honor of St Patrick´s day is a tradition that´s been upheld in the city for more than 50 years - but how did it begin? The tradition has its origins in the city´s efforts to detect illegal sewage dumping back in 1962. Plumbers would use fluorescein dye along the river, which would turn bright green if toxic sludge was detected. The dyeing of the river is still sponsored by the local plumbers union, but now they use a harmless vegetable dye to get the desired hue. The exact formula is a closely guarded secret,

By now it’s settled on most people, including Democrats, that the loss of Alex Sink to David Jolly in Florida’s 13th Congressional District was, in the words of the New York Times, “devastating” to Democrats. It’s a district Ms. Sink carried in her unsuccessful race for governor against Rick Scott, a district that Barack Obama carried in his two elections, and a district that demographically now favors Democrats.
