Democratic lawmakers subpoena
EVERYTHING from Christie aides
over Bridgegate on ´Bloody Friday

Daily Mail [UK], by David Martosko

Original Article

Twenty subpoenas have been served on New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie aides and campaign officials, in a dragnet designed to scoop up documents tied to the Bridgegate scandal--an operation one General Assembly staffer called ´Bloody Friday.´ The office of the assembly´s Democratic majority announced the legal bloodletting Friday afternoon, after subpoenas were approved Thursday by a new investigative committee, barely a day after it was formed. Included are Christie´s chief counsel, former deputy chief of staff and former political campaign manager, the director of his office that oversees the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, his cantankerous spokesman

Comments:
Surely the Dems have a huge file of Republicans with shady pasts--okay, RINOs too--so that if, for instance, the Christie scandal fizzles out early (unlikely) there are many other files to take attention away from Benghazigate and all the other issues the Dems wish would go away.

How quaint...an investigation with real subpoenas...and OMG, enforced compliance for submission of documents. Egad, perhaps the Republicans might take note of how this is done.

"What did you know about the traffic cones and when did you know it?"

This story is already on it´s last legs. We´re a couple weeks in, one thousand pages were already released. Nothing new. The lady got fired. The only thing we don´t know is why she did it. How come nobody at the MSM asks her what her for the story? Or did she get a call from Hillary?

And what a boring scandal. Traffic Cones! I prefer ones like Elliot Spitzer´s call girl. That is Hot stuff.

The Christie apologist can huff and puff with indignation over the unequal treatment of their man by the MSM propagandist while protecting democrats, but that doesn´t change the facts.

Christie IS a fat, vindictive, politician, and his apologist, are doing the same thing as the ´press´ by trying to deflect the arrows: the difference is, the apologists´ voices are weaker.

I continue to be amazed at how the msm suddenly remembered how to cover, wall-to-wall style, stories like this and ask the hard questions. But, of course, having a pubbie as the stool pigeon always helps them remember how to be ruthless as heck. Assuming the msm can retain some of this suddenly re-emerging investigative skill, let´s get started, msm, with go-for-the-juggler investigative reporting of Benghazi-gate, F&F-gate, AP-gate, NSA-gate, IRS-gate, ObieCare-gate. Where to start, msm?

The Democrats already have investigative committees and subpoenas out. Boehner and McConnell haven´t decided what to do on IRS, Fast and Furious, Benghazi, after years of tweedling.

No. 2, is right, much to the disgust of No. 3, who is right about one thing: Christie is fat. I am not sure that´s relevant. Yes, the Democrats have issued a lot of subpoenas but so far without finding any smoking gun. So what good is that doing them? Lots of Republians don´t like Christie and keep hoping the evidence is there somewhere. I was never a particular Christie fan but I am a good enough Republican to hope this ends with the Democrats looking bad, not one of our Republicans.

I blogged yesterday about this "segregated" Muslim event organised by the Islamic Society of the University of East London, due to happen tonight at UEL´s main lecture theatre on its Docklands campus. Much to my surprise, UEL immediately banned it from their campus. [Snip] UEL should be congratulated over this. As I pointed out, it has an "equality and diversity" policy. It didn´t know that the dinner organised by the Islamic society--which was to include a speech by the controversial anti-gay preacher Murtaza Khan--was segregated by sex and was providing a platform for an extremist. The university´s decision to pull the

Tony Blair´s religious charity has links to an Islamic extremist group being investigated by MI5 and MI6, it has been alleged. [Snip] The organisation has been declared a terrorist group in Egypt and Saudi Arabia, and could be banned in Britain, despite insisting they do not have links to extremist factions. The Global Muslim Brotherhood Daily Watch, which has been looking into the group for 13 years, revealed that Dr Ismail Khudr Al-Shatti, an adviser to the Kuwaiti government and a member of Mr Blair’s advisory council, is a leading member of the Kuwaiti branch of the Muslim Brotherhood. the

Deep in the flat and featureless landscape of eastern Ukraine, it is all too possible that the outline of World War III is taking shape. Whipped up by the Kremlin propaganda machine and led by Russian military intelligence, armed men are erecting road blocks, storming police stations and ripping down the country’s flag. They are demolishing not just their own country — bankrupt, ill-run and beleaguered — but also the post-war order that has kept most of Europe and us, here in Britain, safe and free for decades. Vladimir Putin is striking at the heart of the West.

Why are the US authorities trying to extradite and imprison arguably the one man in the world with the skills and influence to bring peace, stability, and prosperity to fractured Ukraine? This week I flew to Vienna, Austria, to find out in a world exclusive interview with Ukraine´s Dmitry Firtash, the billionaire industrialist, philanthropist, and political fixer who is striving desperately to help his country forge an independent future free from the bullying of Russia and the meddling of the West in next month´s scheduled elections. The Internal Revenue Service is considering a bold move to label perks like free lunch given to workers by companies as taxable. The agency wonders if freebies like haircuts and gym memberships are a way to compensate the highly skilled rather than just a way to jumpstart productivity. After all, argue proponents of such a tax, workers at Silicon Valley firms like Google and Facebook receive free meals from famously fancy in-house eateries every day. Some companies even go a step further by offering freebies like haircuts, car services, and child care. Typical workaday folks can expect to pay for all

Climate change’s latest casualty appears to be fish — or more specifically, fish brains — as researchers say the carbon dioxide that’s being absorbed into the ocean is causing the scaly creatures to lose their survival instincts. In other words, the fish are losing their minds, The Daily Mail reported. The acid from atmospheric carbon dioxide seeps into sea waters, dissolves and ultimately lowers the pH balance, researchers said. The acidic waters then hamper the fishes’ sensory systems, so they’re not able to distinguish between smells any longer, the scientists went on. When the acid levels get really high, the fish lose their
