Justice Department likely to expand

WASHINGTON –The Justice Department is likely to expand the definition of racial profiling to bar federal agents from considering religion, national origin, gender and sexual orientation in their investigations, a person familiar with the issue said Thursday. The person spoke on condition of anonymity about the matter because a Justice Department review of the issue is ongoing. The likely expansion was first reported by The New York Times. Justice Department spokesman Brian Fallon declined to comment. Civil rights groups have long complained that law enforcement agencies have singled out Muslims in counterterrorism investigations and Latinos in immigration investigations. Expanding the

They, who have body guards and bullet proof cars and bunkers, are telling us we can´t screen the guys who look just like the guys that are out to kill us.
Did I mention how much I despise the thug in the White House?

Let me help the DOJ out on this one. New rule, only Christain, straight, white guys born in the US of A can be investigated for any crime ever committed. There, that takes car of the profiling issue.

None of which have anything to do with ´race´, which is all the original law specified. So they´re legislating from the bureaucracy, as libtard judges do from the bench.

It looks like they intend to outlaw common sense when they say that a person´s race and national origin cannot be taken into consideration when conducting an investigation regarding illegal immigration, or when a person is a Muslim during a terrorist investigation. As today the vast majority illegal aliens are Hispanics and the vast majority of international terrorists are Muslims.

Can not profile on gender. Does that mean that after a woman is rapes, equal number of men and women must be stopped and/or questioned.

Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA) is now accusing the Keystone pipeline of being a cancer risk. Her first point was that the pipeline “will bring 830,000 barrels of dirty tar sands oil into our nation every day.” She then segued to point #2 by asserting that the heavy tar sands oil will put people who live near refineries at risk for cancer: Significantly higher levels of dangerous air pollutants and carcinogens have been documented downwind from tar sands refineries, and in these areas people are suffering higher rates of the types of cancers linked to these toxic chemicals, including leukemia and

One day after questioning President Barack Obama’s “Christian convictions” on Fox News, former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee has delivered another quote that this time appears to riling up both the left and the right. During his speech at Saturday’s New Hampshire Freedom Summit, Huckabee reporting said, “I’m beginning to think there´s more freedom in North korea sometimes than there is in the United States.” MSNBC political reporter Benjy Sarlin, who was present at the event, was the first to tweet the quote, which was apparently in reference to airport pat downs by the TSA:

Jordan Spieth already has proven to be a quick study. A PGA Tour winner before he even had a card. The youngest American to play in the Presidents Cup. And in his first appearance at the Masters, the 20-year-old Texan looks like he´s been playing here most of his life. Spieth joined the mix at the Masters on Friday with an 8-foot eagle putt on the par-5 15th, and a shot that settled within tap-in range for birdie on the 18th hole. That gave him a 2-under 70 and left him only four shots behind going into the weekend. Is

NEW YORK— Video phone calls? Yeah, we do that. Asking computers for information? Sure, several times a day. Colonies on the moon and jet packs as a mode of everyday transportation. OK, maybe not. The New York World´s Fair of 1964 introduced 51 million visitors to a range of technological innovations and predictions, some that turned out to be right on the money and others that, perhaps thankfully, were way off the mark. At the Bell System pavilion, engineers touted a "picturephone" that allowed callers to see who they were talking to, a concept that lives on in modern-day apps

Obama, who hails from a city known for the Daley Machine and its "vote early and vote often" slogan, ripped Republicans for trying to preserve the integrity of the ballot by reducing voter fraud and requiring voter IDs. Women´s clothing retailer Coldwater Creek Inc. on Friday filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy after failing to find a buyer said it plans to close its stores by early summer. Coldwater Creek joins other retailers to seek protection from creditors in recent months as consumers keep a lid on spending. The company said it plans to wind down its operations over the coming months and begin going-out-of-business sales in early May, before the traditionally busy Mother´s Day weekend. Coldwater Creek said it has 365 stores and employs about 6,000 people.

Many Americans have been watching with great consternation the ongoing struggle between the Federal Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and the U.S. Marshals against Cliven Bundy and his family. There are no signs of either side relinquishing their position. Many onlookers have been informed that this dispute is over protecting the desert tortoise. But it is nothing of the sort. In fact, the reality of the dispute goes far underneath what is being talked about. The more appropriate source of the dispute is ground water as well as surface water -- this is a war over water. The son of the Nevada rancher locked in an increasingly tense land dispute with the federal government, says their cowboys managed to break a blockade and retrieve around 30 head of cattle. Federal agents swooped on Tuesday after Cliven Bundy, dubbed the last remaining rancher in southern Nevada, refused to remove his herd of 900 cows from land he claims has been in his family since 1870. The heavily-armed federal agents, equipped with eight helicopters and backed-up by snipers, surrounded the Bundy ranch after the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) attained a federal court order to confiscate the family´s herd. Following the massacre of grammar-school children in Newtown, Conn., in December 2012, high-powered weapons have been used to kill innocent victims in more senseless public incidents. Those killings, however, are only a fragment of the total harm caused by the misuse of firearms. Each year, more than 30,000 people die in the United States in firearm-related incidents. Many of those deaths involve handguns. The adoption of rules that will lessen the number of those incidents should be a matter of primary concern to both federal and state legislators. Nearly a year into the IRS scandal, we still don´t know exactly what happened—though we are finally getting an inkling.
